Carpet Cleaning Tulsa | Episode 348

Speaker 1: (00:00)
This is episode at three 48 we are complete carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. Give us a call today at (918) 494-7093 that’s (918) 494-7093 a wanted to tell an interesting story from my childhood. I thought that it would be um, uh, relevant to some of the things that we’d been talking about recently. I was a young boy and I had decided that I had seen enough action adventure movies. Uh, we had two large maple trees out in the front of our property and they were the perfect climbing tree just to not to do low jump and you can grab the first branch, maybe three and a half, four feet off the ground. You jump up, grab that and then you can kind of Shimmy yourself up carpet cleaning Tulsa. And then there’s these perfectly tiered branches all the way around the tree, all the way at the very tippy top where you could get up to the part that the very top of the tree, probably 20, 30 feet up where it’s swaying back and forth a bit.

Speaker 1: (00:58)
Giant maples. If you get into the fall season, they just play turn this beautiful flame, red color. And uh, I remember one time my dad came home from work and I got up there, I ran up, I tagged him and he turned around and play tag and I ran, I hit that tree. I climbed all the way up to the top of the tree. And yes, my dad had had a full day of work and was tired. And so he got up to the first branch. I looked up and thought, well I can’t catch him carpet cleaning Tulsa. Yeah, he’s gotten too big or he’s gotten too fast or too nimble. And I got up to the top, but I looked back down, but I realized he wasn’t chasing me anymore, that he had give it up and then he was going back and fight. So I kind of like quickly tried to shoot me down the tree quickly to tell them the way, wait dad, you know, I’ll let you catch me as a weird turn around where as an adult you’re always the one trying to let the little kid catch you because you know that you’re faster than them.

Speaker 1: (01:48)
And there’s the odd time where I finally was faster than my dad and I was the ones wanting to keep playing with him and realized I had, you know, used, gotten away too fast and didn’t let him catch me to keep the game going. carpet cleaning Tulsa is 1998 sometimes we need to think about what we’re trying to do and accomplish to keep the game going so to speak that we do things that are either self sabotaging or were, you just aren’t taking the time to look forward and plan forward to where we are ready for what is going to come next. Sometimes it’s from a, we used to have a business meeting we went to that. We used to jokingly say that it was so good and brought us so much business that we forgot to keep doing it. And there’s always these ideas and concepts and things that we do that you’ll do them for a little while because you’re hungry and you need something and then as you low no longer starts being as hungry or not needing so much use and kind of draw back.

Speaker 1: (02:42)
You don’t do it as often anymore. And then eventually all of that planting, all that seed you put in the ground at harvest and you get a big harvest, but then you realize that like, you know any farmer who tried to farm once, if you eat up your harvest and use everything and you don’t go back to planting again, then eventually it’s going to all run dry. And I think we’ve all had those times where we went out there, we got really good at something. And so everyone else around us said, okay, well he’s the best and that’s, that’s all there is to it. And yet we slowly start to drift back and not keep up, not keep trying and not keep engaged in the situation carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998, uh, that same maple tree, I was feeling very adventurous and I thought, you know what, as any young boy does, we’re going to try something adventurous and unique.

Speaker 1: (03:30)
And so I got my, when got the riding lawn mower and I got my five year old sister and put her up and had her try to drive the lawn mower. Maybe she was four at the time. And uh, so I went over there and I gave her as a good seven year old brother. I gave her a full breakdown of how you’re supposed to ride the lawn mower because see, I had been entrusted with the lawnmower, writing knowledge, carpet cleaning Tulsa is in our fiber. I’ve been entrusted with the lawnmower, writing knowledge, uh, by my parents because I was seven and I was old enough to ride the lawn mower because I was smart enough to understand how to fully operate the lawnmower in a safe and efficient manner. So I knew how to raise a deck and lowered. I knew how to put the blades in gear and disengage them and I knew how to put it into first gear and how to put it in second and third and fourth year I had, you know carpet cleaning Tulsa, I use it fully operate the lawnmower more.

Speaker 1: (04:24)
What I didn’t know and it turns out was I was not well versed in how to teach someone else to ride a riding lawn mower and it also did not understand why my parents had waited so long to allow me to ride the riding lawn mower and I was soon as this story would unfold like as soon learn the importance of making sure that you understand why at some point you learn something and why other points you do not perfectly cleaning Tulsa. Since 1998 we are complete carpet. And so I came around, I climbed up into that tree and I got down on the lowest branch and I was going to jump out of the tree and land on the top of the lawn mower and it would be like a hostile takeover, a sort of like one of the macgyver episodes where you know the truck is driving along and he jumps out of the tree, lands in the front of the hood of the truck and disables the truck and time for the to be able to get to the bad guys and stop them from doing whatever it is that they’re doing.

Speaker 1: (05:22)
And so I’m in that, I’m going to do the bad guy thing. So I’ve taught my sister, here’s what you do, you turn it on and you put it into gear and you go. And there was a bunch of other steps that needed to be talked about that I didn’t remember or didn’t think were important at the time because I figured all she needs to do is go and get in the truck, get in the lawnmower and drive forward. And Go carpet cleaning Tulsa. There are so many other steps that need to be taught in that particular process, but I didn’t think they would matter because I would be on the top of the hood of the the lawnmower riding lawn mower and I’d be able to quickly switch seats with her and then the rest of it would be then under my control. Little did I know that if you’re jumping out of a tree onto a moving object that there is some counter forces at play that may not make it as easy as you seem like you had thought.

Speaker 1: (06:10)
And beyond that I had yet to teach her which gear I wanted her to go or that there was more than one year. And so she got in Atlanta more, put it into the highest gear and his went on a ride and she comes and she’s barreling down right into the, and I think, oh, she’d going kind of fast, but you know what, I’m a seven year old boy. I can do anything. I I, it just, it just upped the challenge factor. And so I jumped off, landed on it with both feet and both feet. Purchasee did to continue to move with the lawnmower forward. What my body who was falling down did not. And so that caused me to go upside down, but my handout to catch my fall and ended up breaking my arm will tell you the rest of the story in the next episode carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are complete carpet.
