Um, the next part that we’re going to talk about is, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa, the best maintenance for your carpet.
We’ve dealt with, um, keeping the dirt from getting into the house to begin with. Maintaining different sources of where the dirt can come from. Cleaning those sources, letting a entry map become like your trash bag to collect all of the dirt before it comes into your home, and then make sure you’re empty that trash bag on a regular basis. Get a vacuum, take it out. So we’ll talk in the next two episodes about what it is that you can do to clean your carpet yourself. Let’s say all the things we’ve talked about so far. We’re all light duty things, things that are going to leave dust and dirty and debris that can just easily be picked up, vacuum back out of the carpet. You can take a paint brush that is filled with paint and if you just run it under water, you can actually just dilute and rinse out all of that paint right out of the brush without having to use any chemicals or anything, nothing stronger than just pure tap water Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.
And so one of the first things I recommend all of our customers to do is first to remove as much of a contaminant as you can, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa, you can use a paper plate or maybe you get a dustpan something that you can collect that dirt width so that it, um, or that debris, whatever it is that got on there, if there’s catchups, it’s sitting on the top of it, scrape up and try to remove as much the contaminant first as you can. It’s best to just try to blot it, just try to stand on it. Use Your weight to be able to absorb in whatever’s there. Next, take some hot water. You can do it with cold water, but stuff does not rinse out and dissolve as fast and cold water. Uh, it reminds me a carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. One of the things that really hit me when I, before I started the carpet cleaning business was in high school. We would do these experiments and one of the things we’d do is we’d see the different dilution ratios of different types of a product, whether it be sugar or salt, and finding out what it is there, what is their quick and dilution ratio is. What we’d do is we’d take a baker and we’d fill it up with water and we’d have just cold water city and we take some salt or we take some sugar and we’d pour it into the beaker and it all just fall to the bottom and then we’d turn on the heat underneath it and then we’d pour in salt or sugar again and then it would fall down and some of it would dilute and then we’d get it up to where it’s boiling.
We poured in and they would just disappeared before you ever saw it. Anywhere. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa Now you can do this yourself. If you think back on if you ever drink coffee or tea, if you’ve got iced tea and you pour in your sugar to sweeten it up, you’ve got your unsweet tea, iced tea, and then you add some sugar to sweeten up. Most of that sugar falls right to the bottom, and then you take a spoon and you just furiously mix it up. Trying to get it to eventually dissolve. It will evolve, but it really takes a lot of extra manual effort to really kind of twist and turn and mix that up, but if you take a nice hot boiling cup of tea that you’ve just, just simmer to mate and then you add sugar to that, um, the sugar will fall down. You almost can look at the site and see it like snow, fall down, and then just melt.
It just dissolves into the cup. There’s almost no stirring. Even involved are necessary because the heat of the water dissolved it. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa so you want to use that same exact principle when you’re wanting to rent your carpet, get as hot of water as you possibly can so that you can get that stuff to go back into solution as quick as possible. And the second part is any moisture you put in, make sure that you are prepared immediately to remove the moisture back out. If you pour a cup of water over a spot of spaghetti or a spot of ketchup, you now have your ketchup gets diluted into one cups worth of water and it will spread out and keep spreading out. Until you capture it, and I’ve seen so many times where someone will come in to clean a spot and they are diluting it out.

I’ve seen so many examples of this where someone comes in to clean the spot and they actually continue to make that spot grows and gets bigger and bigger because they keep adding more hot water and they do not have a place, a method in place already so they can quickly recover that water that either through with a shot back to suck it up or putting down just enough water. They put a towel down and soak it back up and so I’ll use like a quarter cup of water and then put something over it to suck it right back up with the ideas that you’re wanting to dilute it and then didn’t remove it. If you dilute it and spread it, it may not be as visible, but now you’ve got a really big spot that’s going to collect dust and dirt. Overtime.
