I’m a good tool is only as good as the skill of the person using it and the skill of a person can make almost any tool, um, become a useful in just the fact that they’re creative uses of how to, um, how, how, and what you would do with it.

[01:02] I’m a good example of, this is a story I heard, um, at a business seminar where they were talking about Henry Ford and he had the first automobile plant where they have all of the, the, the manufacturing, the assembly line of all of this stuff, uh, be able to produce mass produced cars quickly. And throughout that process, throughout that plant, one of the system’s broke down. It wasn’t operating the way that it needed to. And so they spend a couple of days trying to fix it and they couldn’t figure out what they needed to do to try to get this machine to the plan to get to the assembly line to continue to keep processing through. And so he called the guy who designed it and the guy came out there, it came out to it, looked at it, came out to the plant, went over there, looked at a few of the different areas.

[01:44] He pulled a couple of switches. He looked at a couple of other machines, flipped a couple of more switches, and then about an hour later he came back and said, go ahead and turn it on. And as they flipped it on and it all of a sudden it all started working again. And so it was said that later, a week later he, the guy who had designed it, sent a bill to Henry Ford and said, okay, that will be $10,000 for the repair of the assembly plant, the assembly line for the plant where they built the cars. And so Henry Ford or supply to them and said that this is just ridiculous. All you did was come out and flip a few switches and you only were here an hour or two. How could you charge me $10,000 to do, to flip a few switches? And so in his reply, the person who had designed the plant replied back to him and he said and send them a new bill that was edited and it said a $100 for flipping a few switches and spending and spending an hour or two, they’re looking at the machines and tinkering with stuff.

[02:43] Nine hundred and 90 $909,900 for knowing which switches to flip and which machines to tinker with. And I think this really drives home this particular point of it. You can have a really great tools, but unless you have someone that is skilled and what they’re doing, then it completely comes to a screeching halt. Nothing will work. Nothing you could do. I could drop by, could probably drop off my carpet cleaning machine to somebody and they could try to clean their own carpets. But the problem is, and if you haven’t cleaned a lot of carpets with that particular machine, um, you might not even know how to turn it on to begin with much less what temperature or where you should get the water to what type of chemicals are needed for this particular house. Which hose is a pro, what’s the appropriate amount of length for this particular job?

[03:28] How much pre sprayed you put down, how long do you spend rinsing it, how many times do you go over spots to make sure they’re not going to come back? Um, which wander which tool is the one you’re supposed to bring in at that particular time. And so I think it’s important not just to have really good equipment though. We do have good equipment that’s very important. Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. One of the things I’ve always put at the top priority was that we maintained our equipment because some people just use something until it breaks. And by new I personally, uh, I mean that’s definitely one way to go. But the problem with that particular theory is that you’re using something until it wears down so, so badly that it completely destroys. It’s just completely hits the gutter and it hits the bottom part of what it’s effective uses.

[04:11] And what you’re needing to do is go back and say, okay, I can go that route and we end up at the very bottom. But that means at some point through that, that period of time, let’s say that it lasted 10 years at some point in there, it’s degraded down to the point that it’s starting to break. So at the five year mark it’s probably working at half efficiency and eventually when I get to like the seven, eight, nine year mark, I’ve worn it down so much. It hasn’t broken yet, but it is really close to it. And so it’s important I think to maintain your things so that it will work at top peak efficiency the entire time you’re using it. And so one of the models that we always keep it and I’ve always followed is that it is better to have preventative maintenance than, than reactive maintenance. carpet cleaning Tulsa

[04:52] Always tried to prevent a problem from happening instead of just reacting to things that are happening, try to, you know it’s, it’s, for example, in your car, you, you change your oil on a regular basis because you want to prevent the engine from breaking down. You don’t just put oil in it, leave it there until the oil becomes so gunked up in a convoluted, throughout the engine and coagulated that it ends up, you know, seizing or stalling, that whole engine, you just want to replace the oil on a regular basis before it ever gets dirty. So we try to do the same type of things with our tools and equipment so that every job that we go out, we’ve got tools that are in. I’m in the best shape and ready to go at every time we are complete carpet, a carpet cleaning Tulsa and surrounding communities since 1998.
