Um, what we’re going to talk about this time. We talked last time about rug doctors, bissell’s, how to use your little in home carpet cleaners. And now we’re going to talk to you about the, the method that personally I recommend this to all of our customers because it’s very cheap.
[00:47] It’s, it’s extremely effective and I think it works better than some of the little carpet cleaning units in my humble opinion is that I’m just go out. If you, if you’re on the fence, you’re thinking I’d like to have something at the house to be able to clean the carpets with a, but I don’t really want to spend three to $500 on a little carpet cleaner. Um, my recommendation that I tell all of our customers is that you should go ahead and just get a shot vac a shop back. Now, one thing that’s really important if you do go buy a shop vac is that you need to make sure you take out the air filter in the back. They all have a big white pleated filter that’s in there. This is a paper filter meant to, to filter air. Now if you are sucking up water, then that water is going to hit that paper filter.
[01:29] It’s going to turn into mush and it’s going to stop all the suction in the machine and it’s going to destroy the filter. They make a black honeycomb filter or you can just leave the filter off completely. Um, most units all have a routing system to where they won’t blow the, the water back out, but it will blow any dust you have because it’s going to get in the air and going to kind of have to filter back out. So I recommend getting the black honeycomb water filter if you’re ever going to use your shop back to suck up water. Now, uh, if you don’t have a shop vac, you don’t want to buy it or you’re just in a situation where something just happened, you don’t have that. You don’t have the means to quickly grab a shot back or quickly get a rug.
[02:06] Dr Bissell. Don’t worry, there is still another avenue for you. Carpet cleaning Tulsa Since 1998. I have found all kinds of creative ways to clean up spots and carpets without any equipment at all. Um, all you need is some type of soap that is appropriate for carpet. Now, I wouldn’t use dish soap. I wouldn’t use hair soap. I wouldn’t use any of the soap. They’re meant for non fabrics because they all have the capacity to potentially pull colors out. I wouldn’t even use direct fabric soap that’s meant to be diluted, like say I’m tied or whisk that goes into your laundry detergent that goes into your washing machine because it’s meant to be mixed with anywhere from 10 to 30 gallons of water. If you put it directly on your clothes, it’s probably going to pull her out, but there are some priests praise. There are some stuff that you can use to break it down if you use a little shout or if you know, if you do nothing else available to you can just use whatever products that you have that are not for kitchen use and do not have disinfectants in it.
[03:02] Anything that’s got bleach based, we’ll pull the color out of your carpet. Um, preferably you should get a rug doctor chemical, bissell chemical. You’ve got pro shot, spot shot, rubbed doctors. Chemicals are so many different chemicals that you can use. Um, and so you find the one that you use best that works best for you. Carpet cleaning Tulsa I’ve had people talk about using even Fabuloso just to as a way to break up a spot and get it out. Uh, but the process that you’re going to want to use, if you want to get a towel and you want to get a spray bottle to spray bottles, one’s got a pre spray or whatever, a carpet cleaning chemical you want to use. And the second one is just for rinsing. I would knit label the tooth. You don’t get them mixed up. So one is for breaking the spot down.
[03:43] One is for rinsing the spot out. So you’ve got your soapy one. Use the soap, he wanted to break it up a little bit, use a towel to suck up whatever soap was there, spray it down with water, then put the towel back over and absorbed. Backup. What is there now as far as the absorption side, you can blot it, you can do it, just don’t rub it. The more rubbing you do, the quicker you were down the fiber. And I’ve seen many times where I’ll come to a house and they have gone through, they’ve tried to get a spot out of the carpet and they have just taken physically gone back and forth, back and forth, back and forth over that area of carpet. So many times that now the, all of the fibers are all bloomed, there’ll all fluffed up and they’ve gotten all frizzy.
[04:20] And so you need to work hard to make sure that you’re keeping from really aggravating those fibers too much to where you don’t have the proper amount of, um, uh, look to that carpet. Um, so as far as the direct steps to the process, um, it’s a, it’s really a three step process. One, you break down the I’m there, that’s in the carpet, you need to find some way to get that dirt into solution to.
[05:02] You need to have a way to rinse that dirt. Now you’ve got it into solution. Carpet cleaning Tulsa You have any other way to rinse it out. So number two will be rents, number one is breakdown number two will be rented out. So you’re using that secondary bottle to be able to rinse out. And so you spray it down till it’s damp and so that you can get it back into solution after you’ve broken it down. Now you get it, now you rinse it out. And number three is extraction or removal. So it take that towel and I personally recommend you just put a towel down and stand on it and allow the dry towel just to absorb, absorb as much as it can. Uh, one thing that I do recommend doing first with all of these three different things that, that, um, whatever contaminants there as just as a rule of thumb or whatever the tablets, they’re trying to remove as much of it as possible.
[05:44] First, either just grab a shop vac and just suck it straight out or take a, um, you could take like a paper plate or a dustpan and just try to scrape off whatever’s there first before you start trying to clean it. Sometimes just removal can help you far more than all of your cleaning process goes. Sometimes you can’t remove anything and you’ve got us kind of soak it and work on it.
