We’ve had times where people have used. We’re talking to our last episode about people using the wrong chemical for the wrong spot.
[00:51] Um, how using kitchen chemicals can be disastrous to the health and the wellbeing of your carpet using anything that’s got a bleep, bleach based or product or anything that’s meant for some other fabric besides carpet than nylon that’s in your carpet can leave either really chalky, crunchy spot that get dirty quickly or you can go even to the worst part where you end up with a spot that is, I’m now a co has pulling although the color out of your carpet and so we’re now going to jump over a reason. We’ve gone through all of these previous ideas and concepts is that we went through and and wanted to make sure that we had a accurately covered what it is that you were going to run into. And each and every circumstance in each and every area. And the problem that we run into most often is somebody just not reading the label or not understanding how the product is supposed to be used or run into a place like the kids where they just get frustrated.
[01:44] They or they have run into done something that they don’t want anyone to know about. And so they’re blindly trying to grab whatever they think is cleaning chemical and using that instead. And so, uh, we had talked about how fingernail Polish remover is about the only thing we’ll get fingernail Polish off. You can’t use any soap. There’s no type of hair shampoo, there’s no type of dish detergent. There’s no get used, a little dig a degreaser, there’s nothing going to pull that off except for a solvent. And so with pet chemicals, there are actually five different categories of pet chemicals. When you go to buy a pet chemical off the shelf as a petsmart or a walmart or something like that, um, you were, or maybe home depot or Lowe’s, a big box store, you’re going to get to see that there are many different types of products that are their carpet cleaning.
[02:31] Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998 has helped us to identify each of these different products and to identify what are they can be used and what they’re used for. So we’ll start off with the first type of product is your, um, your spot remover. These can be also a little misleading because so many of them tried to do all in one. Um, and typically I avoid the all in one products because um, it’s sort of like the, the old saying you are the Jack of all trades but a master of none and that means you’re adequate and you kind of passively do all the different things but you’re not really good at anything and sometimes it even gets worse to where you do so many different things that none of them are getting done at all. Like, oh, I can do everything but nothing really gets done. Or it only does everything.
[03:15] Very minor or very mediocrely. And so you end up disappointed in the results because it didn’t really get any one of the things done directly. And so I personally would avoid all of the, all in ones and just go for ones that are directed and specific. So you’re spot removers are specifically designed just to take the coloring out of the spot. They are, they’re not going to clean the spot. They are not going to disinfect the spot. They are not going to remove the urine, they’re not going to modify the odor, they’re not going to deodorize it. There specifically meant just to take the yellowing or the orange or whatever it is that was in that got on the carpet there. It’s mostly just to try to remove the discoloration in the carpet and so typically your spot removers or more of an acidic base, they’re kind of a tenant type product to remove that like a coffee and tea or pet urine.
[04:05] It kind of removes all of that yellow and that happens to carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. This is one part of seeing so many people do is they’ll take a spot, a spot remover, and then try to use it as a disinfectant or wonder why it doesn’t make the areas smell better or etc. And so the first product you’re going to run across are your spot removers. These Are the ones that you want to use to try to knock out after you’ve cleaned a product and there’s still a little bit of coloring afterward. You use this and they almost always have a dwell time. You want to put it on there, let it sit for a little while and go over and try to see what it is, how much it’s removed, rinse it out, always remember to rinse out any product you use into the carpet and then try it again and give it another dwell time.
[04:46] Just make sure you’re never putting the product on and just adding more product to the previous product so you don’t end up with a large buildup of something so that you can accurately predict what’s going to happen. Another part that’s really important about what we’re talking about right now, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998, I’ve seen so many times where people use multiple products in the same spot and it is best to always rents between products one just because you want to make sure that you’re taking something out before you put something new in so you know what, what is being effective, but too many products, if they are combined together have disastrous effects or they neutralize the effects. If you Take an enzyme product and a disinfectant product, the disinfectant will kill the enzyme because disinfectants are meant to, are designed to break down or kill any organic products.
[05:30] And so if you’re organic product is and um, as an enzyme, then it will be destroyed. And so you end up with a net zero. You’ll take it to the same way. If you take an, um, an acid and a base and you mix the two together, you end up with water because the acid will neutralize the base or the base will neutralize the acid. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa And so you end up with water if you’re using a civic product and you’re using a very alkaline product and you’re trying to cleanest spot with both those two things, the two products are fighting against each other and neutralizing each other.
