Give us a call today to schedule your next service. And our previous episode, we were talking about, um, my dad’s. What words of wisdom? The thing that I really built my business on and built everything I do in my life on is that you need to become a master at what you’re doing before you’re going to enjoy it.

[00:47] The biggest stresses that you can have in your life are the things that are the unknown. I’m really worrying about dying, worrying about anything. Worry in and of itself is I think redundant because you’re worrying about something that’s going to happen so you get to suffer twice. You get to suffer once as you worry about the thing happening, and then eventually if it. Let’s just say that it did happen, you then get to suffer from it happening and so you have to suffer twice for the same thing. It is much better, I think, to just always assume everything’s going to be good and then just deal with it if things go bad and that way you don’t suffer twice for what as you go through stuff and the best way I think to remove that fear, that wondering that, uh, and a intimidation factor for whatever it is that you’re going to do with that.

[01:31] You become really good at it. So good at it that you now know all the ins and outs. You know all of the backwards thing that could come in and knock you off frame, knock you out of your general order of stuff that you’re wanting to try to accomplish, and so we hear it. Complete carpet have tried to just focus in on what we’re really good at. We’re not trying to diversify into a million different things. We want to stay focused and know exactly what we do, so every job we go out on, we can know that we can take care of you. Just write the first time, which is one of our key, a key thing that we always try to do that on each job we want to do it the best possible the first time so that the next time is easier for us to do, but also so that you are impressed by what we did the first time you want to call us back. carpet cleaning Tulsa

[02:09] I think the very core of every business should be that you do such a good job that somebody wants to call you back. If somebody doesn’t want to call you back then, then you need to change. You need to take a good hard look at your business and what you’re doing and reorganize what it is you’re going to accomplish because you are not doing the very fundamental, very core thing, I think, of all business is that a customer will want to repeat and use you again or refer you. Um, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 has given us tons of years to expand to two full decades to really nail down and what it is that we do and be able to be the best at what we do. And one of the big reasons that, I mean, obviously we do this because this is just our, our passion, what we want to do and what we want to try to offer.

[02:49] But there is a secondary benefit to this is that the better that we can become, the better you become in your job. But let me finish up that particular topic first. The better you become at your job, the more you like it because it no longer you no longer get a sense of dread, a sense of stress. Every time you think about doing something, once you’ve nailed something down, if somebody asks you to do something, let’s say the, um, if I asked you to take out the trash, everyone is taking out trash in their life and there’s, there’s no real big sense of dread. You don’t get a sense of panic if I said, hey, can you take out the trash and be like, yeah. And so I say, take out the trash. I leave you, walk over, grab the bag, pull the, the tabs, toss it, toss it outside in the wastebasket.

[03:29] You’re done. You know you got it. Now if I walked in and said, hey, I need you to turn the water off to the house, um, so that I can. So I can take this pipe off and you can go do it real quick right now. If you could run out there, turn off the water, the house. I’m going to take this pipe off. You got to have it off before I turn the pipe off. I was going to spray water everywhere. I can instantly. I can guarantee you at least half the people, if not 90 percent of the people out there when you were asked to do that, instantly a sense of dread and panic will just fill you through a sense of adrenaline will just flood your body because you’re like, wait, you want me to do what? Like, no, no, go. Just go do it now.

[03:59] You gotta do it now because there’s water spraying all over the house. If you don’t go turn the water off. Now we’re going to flood the whole house. We’re going to damage to everywhere and you’re panicked. Just said, Ella guy don’t know what to do and you can’t just run out there and it just immediately do it because you have no idea. You don’t know what tools needed. You don’t know where the cutoff is. You don’t know what was even being asked of you. I think one of my favorite, it was during a sermon that somebody was talking, preaching. They said, uh, most of us don’t really care that much about a Sunday morning service. And uh, not that there’s anything wrong with that. I mean, we should just come and enjoy the service and and have a good time. Nobody gets their stomach about going to church. carpet cleaning Tulsa

[04:33] They just like, today I’ll go to church. Maybe today. I won’t know. Yeah, not that. Not that big a deal. We don’t prepare. Spend the whole week preparing, thinking, what will I do when I go to church? How, how will I know you just figured out that morning and you just go to church said, but if somebody came up to you and said, you know what? On Saturday night somebody came up to and said, okay, I’m sorry, the pastor is sick today and we are going to need you to preach tomorrow morning sermon. I can guarantee you that every single person, like there’s not an option. Like, Hey, would you do this? They said, nope, you are the only person you’re going to be up there. Um, you’re going to preach the sermon tomorrow morning. Um, and it is 6:00 Saturday evening. I guarantee you not a single one of you would sleep that night. carpet cleaning Tulsa

[05:11] You would have immediately, you have a sense of dread. You’d spend the whole night going, I need to find something to say, and you’ll find a sermon to do. You’ll be prepping. You try to be memorizing your lines, just trying to get the fact that you could talk to somebody for 30 to 45 minutes straight in a cohesive manner just off the top of your head. It’s gonna be very difficult and you probably wouldn’t eat. Some of you probably would bring back up the food that you had already eaten because you’re just be this sense of dread because you haven’t. You’re not preaching every single Sunday on a regular thing, but a pastor who’s been preaching for 10 years, you tell them, hey, I need you to do it. An Extra Bible study this Tuesday for some friends of mine and be like, yeah, sure, I got something I could just preach.

[05:44] You know, just two weeks ago, she fit right in there and they just walk right in and just immediately start talking to everybody because that’s what they do for a living. So I think that’s really important that you get really good at what you’re doing. So you can find the joy in what you’re doing because once you nail it, once you know what you’re doing, then then everything becomes simple again for you.
