So give us a call today to schedule your next service. We’re going to talk now in episode 1:33 about the intro price and Gotcha up sales techniques. Um, I personally am not a fan. I do not like the give you one price and then swap it out.

[00:53] Now, if you are totally into intro prices, I’m totally in to um, you know, promotional values and stuff. As long as the promotional value is what you get a, if you going to give somebody, say, hey, it’s gonna be x amount of dollars, and then at the end when they go to pe, you change the price on them. You do a bait and switch or you give them an enterprise for something that doesn’t exist. Um, if I wanted to come in and buy a, um, you know, give me that, get a carpet cleaning and you said that it was going to be 50 bucks for the carpet cleaning. And when I go there to get the carpet cleaned, you say, well I’m, your house doesn’t apply or it doesn’t exist or you know, there’s no physical way to ever do the $50 carpet cleaned. I was supposed to come through. Carpet cleaning Tulsa

[01:37] I, I personally just hate those types of upsell or Gotcha techniques or the other one is I’ve had many customers talk to me about and have had done. I had a customer that gave me a call over the weekend. Um, he wanted us to come in and get his carpets cleaned. And unfortunately, I was out of town, a carpet cleaning ptosis is 1998 and we’ve had thousands and thousands of probably gotten close to 10,000 jobs that we’ve done over the two decades. We’ve served the Tulsa area. And uh, one of them was this guy wanted to get us our carpets cleaned, um, and I just wasn’t available because I was out of town at that particular time. So he called another company because he just needed to get it done right away. He called me back later that week and said he wished he would have waited for us to come back into town to get it taken care of as opposed to try and just get it done quickly because he said the other company that came out charged them almost 50 percent more than what they agreed to pay.

[02:24] So they gave them a certain price and they came out and started cleaning. And when they were done, the price is 50 percent more than what he had agreed to at the beginning. And they explained to him all the charges. They said, look, well, I mean there’s an additional charge because we had to carry this, the hoses up the staircase to your second floor apartment and then we had to pay an additional charge, get it took us longer because we had to clean around your leather couch, your leather couches. Very nice. We didn’t want to scratch it. So it takes longer to clean around a couch if you’re trying to be careful about it. So that takes the longest. We have to charge extra. Oh, and there response spots in your carpet. And so to clean those spots in your carpet we had to use chemical and that chemical cost money so it costs more money to try to clean your carpet. [03:03] And so he felt like it a point. He tried to argue with them and they said, look, I mean we’ve already done the work. You have to pay for it. I mean we can’t undo the work. And so he said, at a certain point I realized I felt like I was paying them just to leave my house. I don’t, I didn’t want them anymore. I didn’t want them to be there. They hadn’t done what I’d asked. They had done what they said they would do, they did more and charge me more without conferring with me or even asking me about it and I personally just really hate that type of thing and unfortunately in this industry, that happens a lot in a lot of the different industry to come out for one price. They do other work that you didn’t approve of or didn’t even talk to him about, I think claimed that it was required or had to be done and that there was, there’s no way to undo it because they’ve already done the work now, so you have to pay for it because it’s already been done.

[03:43] We created our flat rate pricing system just specifically to come back to this particular thing and I’m not talking down against everybody as far as some people just, they give you a really cheap hamburger and then they want to sell you the fries and the drink with it. I get that. I’m okay. That makes sense to me. Um, but I personally just don’t like going that way of where you’re trying to always negotiate every job with every customer. I like to know in advance what it is I’m being called out to do, what it is I can accomplish in that way. I know exactly what is expected of me. And so we created a flat rate pricing system where houses have certain sizes would cost a certain amount of money to clean all the carpets within that house. If you have a smaller home that fits within the certain guidelines or categories for the size of the home that it’s only $99 at times, or maybe it’s a 1:29 or maybe it’s 1:49 or maybe it’s one 79, one 99 to clean all the carpets within that home.

[04:32] But you know that for that one price it, you’re going to get all of the carpets taken care of in there. Now we don’t move large furniture. Uh, I personally don’t like the, the idea of moving furniture onto a damp wet carpet that’s just been cleaned because of two reasons. One, it could potentially leave little marks on the carpet and you could alleviate that by putting some plastic underneath the, the feet of the, uh, of the furniture so that it’s not quite such an issue, but the secondary part of it is that, um, when you bring something heavy onto a warm, damp carpet that’s just been cleaned, it will stretch the carpet out farther than normal. And so we try to just do a good cleaning around all of the stuff. But if you want to move everything out, some of our customers will move all the stuff to a tiled area. Carpet cleaning Tulsa

[05:16] We can clean it all for you. It just the same single price because we don’t want to have to get there expecting to try to make more money than you expect to pay. When we get there, we know that if we do a great job, I, you will call us back and you will want us to come back and do more service. If we could do a great job on the first service, you will desire us to come and do more services. Um, I don’t want to try to trick you into doing extra services or push you into services you’re not ready to spend. I want you to walk away from that experience feeling happy, and so with our flat rate pricing allows us to do that so that we can just instantly give you what it is you’re looking for. We can schedule that in easily and not have to worry about what it is that’s happening and you will know what it is going to be done. You can have the confidence you’re not going to be upsold at, you’re not going to have to pay out a whole lot of money. Carpet cleaning Tulsa and surrounding communities since 1998.
