Main reasons for doing maintenance on your carpet is so that you can reduce the where the sandpaper like gritty effect that destroys your carpet. This is the main reason that areas get just torn apart is because too much dust, sand, debris, grit, whatever gets into the carpet, stays there in the carpet.

Every time you step on it, it’s like a rubbing. All those fibers together with all of that friction just tears up the fiber. Have you take one of the. If you take like say a glass window and you go up to it and you take a piece of sandpaper, you can rub against that window with the sandpaper and it’s going to eventually cloud that window. You’re going to scratch the surface so much that you can no longer see through the window. Uh, this applies to every fiber in your carpet. Each fiber is a nylon fiber. Most all modern carpets, nylon, some of it’s polyester, but the majority of it’s nylon now. And that fiber has a particular shine to it, a particular clear glossiness and opaqueness to it. If you pulled that one fiber out, you looked at it, it’s got a vibrancy. We put new carpet and you can tell us new because it’s got a shiny sheen to it Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.

And as you walk on that carpet is just like taking a bit of sandpaper and slowly sanding that clear glass window. And overtime, each step you make is like another scrape of that sand paper across there when there’s a lot of dust and dirt and debris in that carpet. And that’s why over time you’ll notice in your walk paths decides to look fluffy and shiny. Whereas the middle look flattened, dull and it’s because you’ve knocked the shine off. You’ve taken sandpaper, rubbed it against that window long enough that you’ve knocked off all of the clear, a seethrough ness of that glass to where it’s now clouded and just no longer reflects light in the same way as it did before. Same Way, if you took a shiny pottery, took shiny metal and you slowly just sandpaper to down. Eventually it becomes a satin finish and eventually it’s matt and eventually it’s cloudy and eventually it looks all scuffed up and scratched up and it doesn’t reflect light hardly at all because all these micro scratches all over it.

Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. We have seen so many times where somebody has just let the maintenance of their carpet go so far that the carpet now is physically damaged and we can. You can go in and clean that window and you can make that window is clean as you possibly can and make it look fantastic again, but it’s still going to be smoky. It’s still going to not be able to be seed through the same way because it’s had so much scuffs and scratches on it that it’s now I’m not gonna be as shiny. It’s not going to be as glossy as it once was. And so that the same thing can happen with your carpets. We can clean it and make it look fantastic and make it look good again as far as it being clean and safe. But it could be dull and not have the same shine that it did new.

Um, and this is because the physical, where of the carpets just overtime simply wears out. Uh, if you have not maintained the proper schedule of cleaning in commercial properties, they have the same thing where they’ll get out there and they should be on a maintenance. If you got to have a thousand people a day walk in through the carpet, if you’re in a restaurant, then you should add in the morning before the store opens, give it a good solid vacuum and get all that dirt out and as you’re going along, as you see spills or use these two things that get down on that floor, you go through and remove that out and then as you get into your afternoon setting or even inciting just perpetually throughout the day, then you’d be maintenance because they’ve got so many people that are so many sources of dirt. They need to stay on top of it all times in your home.

You don’t have to stay on it with such an aggressive schedule. You can do it every other day. Do one time. Just kind of do a quick touch over on your main areas or as do emergency maintenance or reactive maintenance. You’re in there and somebody spills a whole bowl of chips on the floor or crackers gets get fallen down and then grab a vacuum to suck them out and make sure that while they’re dry and get them out of the carpet so that people don’t keep walking and grind to them in there. And then really once a week or every other week to do a big traffic area cleaning where you just go through and suck up all the dust that’s fallen on the carpet throughout all of your main walk, walk past in the area that you have in maintenance and on a regular basis. And then once a year go through it, actually move stuff and just get the, you know, the big far wall to wall stuff knocked out.

Another part that we’re going to cover here is, um, you can, you can remove the dirts by not eating or not covering things. You can remove your shoes or you can just clean the bottom issues which do household shoes. Um, and you can try to limit the different places that the dirt can come in. And then you can collect that dirt by vacuuming, but one thing that you can do that also helps is that on all of your entry points where dirt can come from in, from, outside to inside, um, you know, sometimes you just, you don’t have the time to take your shoes off or you’ve got friends and family that are coming over and it’s a cold day and you really can’t ask them to take their shoes off because it’s just too cold. You don’t want people walking around in their bare feet or in socks when there’s just, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa there’s not enough warmth that is, uh, you know, it’s one of those kind of cool days where you just have people that, you know, you just, you’re not at the front door.

You can’t micromanage every single person that comes into the house because you have too many people come in and out. One of the things that you can do that tremendously helps to maintain the health and wellbeing of your carpet is that you can have a separate source to, uh, to take the brunt of that dirt and wear. And that is an entry. Matt, um, or an area rug too where people have a place that they can walk off the dirt. Uh, one of the three big tips that I have for an intermountain area, things is one, it needs to be big enough that people don’t just step over it. You have a small two by three rug. A lot of times people can step over that rug before they enter into your house. And so it never has a chance to give its effect. Number two is that, um, if it’s super decorative, people do not want to step on it and they especially do not want to wipe their muddy feet on it.

If it’s really pretty and decorative and has like a picture of your house and maybe you know, a couple of little artistic drawings of your kids on it, then somebody can come up and they’re going to walk around that map because that’s decorative. It’s decoration. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa It’s kind of like at school, I’m all the high schools that I went to the. As you entered into school, there is a big area and had the emblem of the school just sitting right there in the, in the middle of it, and then almost always whether whether they had a something block it off and not all the kids avoided walking on it because it was like a school prize, like you don’t step on that. That’s our, that’s our emblem. And so a lot of times we’d actually put up the little block blockers so that people wouldn’t walk across that because we want to protect it.

It was our, it was our special parts of make sure that it’s something that’s very generic looking so people are willing to, to muddy it up and feel like it’s okay for them to dump the dirt. They’re on it. Carpet cleaning in Tulsa since 1998. One of the other thing that we see that’s real important going through the three steps of how to choose a good area rug is that need something that is fluffy, something that can actually get the dirt off their feet. So many times I see hard mats or I see really thin mats that, um, that even if you tried, and I’m sure we’ve all had this at some point where you sit there and you tried to do the little duck scoot and you try to try to rub your shoes onto it to you’re wanting to knock the dirt off that’s on your shoe, but you rub back and forth across this mat and it’s a hard, it’s flat, it’s thin and it doesn’t knock any of the dirt off your shoes.

Even if you tried, you kind of do the stop where you join it just hopefully, fortunately, knock dirt to fall off your foot and he can’t get it to come off. So having a nice fluffy mat that can knock the dirt out, having something that doesn’t um, doesn’t look decorative so people aren’t afraid to walk on it. And something that’s big three by four is a good side. Something that’s big enough to allow people to. They can’t just jump over. They don’t just in their natural gait, walk over it.
