Obviously the heat of the water matters and the chemicals of doing a walkthrough of finding the different things that you need to do and actually doing the cleaning, but at the end of the day, if you do not have good suction, then everything you’ve done so far is going to damage the carpet.
If that moisture sits in the carpet, if those chemicals sit on the carpet, if those spots sit on the carpet for too long, you’re going to sour. The carpet’s going to start to smell is going to start to look odd is gonna start to buckle. It’s going to start to soften the glue and the backing which are caused it to laminate over time, and so you need to be able to match that. I think the most, one of the most important parts of the cleaning process is that you need to have a removal system. You can do all of the proper steps. You can do everything that you need to do properly to break all that stuff down, but if you’re not removing it back out of the carpet and allowing it to dry in a healthy manner, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa then you could actually be causing more harm to the carpet than than good.
Because I’d rather have sticky substance that’s left in the carpet for 10 years. Then leave the carpet, went for 24 hours or a week and have the carpet buckle up and fall apart within the year because some of these things, that sticky substance, it’s gonna wear out the carpet and it’s not going to look good, but the carpets will still be okay and still be usable for the next 10 years. If you get in there and you use too much water and you’re really break down the backing of the carpet and a walk area, then you break down the glue that’s in that carpet by softening it up too much and eventually that carpet just falls apart in. You start to break down the structural integrity of that carpet and so without a really good suction, then you’re not able to get the carpets as thoroughly and as deeply cleaned as is as is needed, and that’s part of the job is that it helps to soften up the carpet, but also to give it a better suction flooring, a different better section, a capacity so that the wind will lock down onto the head of the law, will walk down under the car, locked down on the carpet so that he can get a better rinsing action as the water gets put into the carpet, it can get pulled right back out and one thing that we do on all of our machines and all of our wines that we make sure that we balanced that one, we want to balance that one between the amount of pressure and water that we’re putting down and the amount of suction that can be that can pull back out of that carpet.
If I turn up the pressure on my won up to say 1500 pounds of pressure, I can actually put out more water than that one suck up at once. Where if I sitting on tile with just water, just pulled the trigger and water spraying down, more water will flood out. Then it can get sucked back into the one and it’ll actually start to create a pool around the wall because there’s too much water compared to the amount of suction with the speed of that section can pull back in compared to the amount of water is getting pulled, poured out. Sort of like if you had a shot back and you had a fire hydrant. If you open up that fire hydrant, that shot back is just not going to cut it. It just won’t keep up with the amount of water coming out. Now if you have a garden hose and you have a shot back, more than likely that shot back.
We’ll be able to keep up when you first turn the garden hose on. It’s kind of trickling, but some garden hoses have enough water pressure from the city that it can actually put out more water than that shop vac and suck up and enact in a in a same amount of period of time and so you need to make sure that you are balancing those two things together. So many small units, home units, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa that’s the biggest problem they have is that the vacuum compared to the amount of water is not balanced and so it’s meant they designed it to. There’s only so much suction can fit in those little tiny units and so what they designed it for was that you need to use one stroke where you’re cleaning and then two strokes where you suck it dry because there’s too much water there. The majority of people don’t follow those.
They just tried to clean and they just pulled the trigger full time and they just clean up and down and up and down. Even on our machines, I’ve got a giant 35 horsepower Kohler engine sitting in the back of a machine that has a four, three and a trello blower that can pull up to 14 inches of mercury and can go up to 200 feet away with a two inch hose and just create a tremendous amount of suction. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa Even on that, I only apply water on the downstroke of the carpet cleaning. I don’t do it on the upstroke because that’s applying. If I do it on the downstroke I apply water once and on the upstroke I let go so that I’m sucking up water twice and if I go, if I keep the trigger pulled, so I go down and I go back up that upstroke the vacuum is going away from me and the water is going down so I’m actually putting water down when I’m not sucking it up and so I’m actually putting down twice the amount of water, leaving the carpets much more wet than they would be otherwise.
And so even on a big machine, I still use the exact same practices. I recommend everyone to do carpet cleaning Tulsa since [inaudible] 98, 1998. It’s so important. I think that you make sure that your extraction strokes in some jobs, you may actually, even with our big machine, I will clean it and then see if I really had to scrub over an area of go real slow over an area. I will go back and just with no water and I’ll just do an extraction stroke back over that to try to help that carpet even dry faster and so if you’ve got a little unit that’s not very powerful, Carpet Cleaning Tulsa I recommend everyone do at least one or two extra extraction stroke to make sure you get that carpet as dry as possible so you can extend the life of that carpet so it’s not having to always have too much moisture sitting on.
It softened and I blew up over time. One of the things that I think is very important about the suction side is that we can have a tremendous amount of suction, but if I take my. If I took a blanket and I throw it inside of the filter, has sucked up a blanket and got into my filter box and it covered up all the holes in my filter box, I can take this massive machine that takes a path on the van. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa They can create a huge amount of suction I could put against my hand it would take to create this big Red Hickey all over my hand if I just left it on there too long, um, and, and break it down to where it wouldn’t even be able to suck against my hand because I clogged up the filter box and no air can get through that thing.
So you can take the mightiest of machines and completely bring it to its knees by clogging up the filter and whether that be your little small home unit or whether that be our big huge carpet cleaning machine. Um, it is important on everything. It becomes like a princess and the pea scenario that you need to make sure that those filters are on every job and every time you use it are always clean. It works the same year dryer. If you don’t clean out that filter on the in your dryer, then eventually you can actually make it so the dryer will not dry because that filter gets so clogged. The air can’t leave the dryer and it can’t move out so they close, just hold the moisture because there’s nowhere for that moisture to go.
