I’m going to answer a couple of questions this time. Actually, probably one. How do you repair carpet? Um, this we get asked this question many times on I’m trying to deal with the, uh, a problem that has happened in the carpet that you didn’t anticipate. Maybe a, a dog or a, uh, an iron falls on the carpet.
[00:52] A lot of times you’ll have a pet that gets trapped into a room and they’re wanting to get out. The door gets shut and now they’re stuck inside the room and have a slight little dog or a panic attack, and so in this scenario, in this circumstance, a little Fifo, he gets trapped in the room and he’d like to get out and it’s. It’s real similar to a dog, what’s in their backyard. They had the same general type of experiences that they want to. They’re in an area they don’t want to stay in and so they want to find a way to get out of that area and so if your dog was in the backyard, you would say, okay, it will just try to do its best to try to dig under the fence. What feels like it’s a path to freedom will go straight underneath that fence and so they started digging and once they dig enough of a hole underneath the fence, they’ll look kind of wiggle their way straight underneath and be able to get out to get to freedom and they have the same type of reaction while they’re locked in a bedroom.
[01:40] The door becomes their obstacle. They can. They know that there’s a little space underneath the door they can get through, so your carpet now becomes the dirt and so it starts doing its best to try to claw it’s way under that, under that dirt, through that dirt, which is your carpet carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. Um, carpet cleaning is in our fiber and one of the things that they’ve seen many times that we’ve had to do, try to patch as a, as a panic pet. They got trapped in a bedroom. Um, and so what we can do is we can come in and a lot of times that, that damage turns into just the clause tearing through the carpet or ripping it apart or sometimes, uh, once they claw a few times into the carpet and starts to get frayed or frizzy, they then will try to bike the carpet and pull it back.
[02:24] I’ve actually had one customer where we went in there to try to repair the carpet and the dog had actually pulled it back almost 10 feet into the room, pulled almost half the room across and it just ripped one strip of carpet. Once it got a hold of it, I’m going to, I can just assume a tug of war battle ensued with the carpet for probably an hour or two hours maybe the whole day until the, somebody noticed the dog was trapped in the room as he tried to pull that carpet back. Um, and obviously there’s concrete or wood underneath the subflooring though. I’ve seen a couple of jobs where even if they were on a wood sub floor where they pulled the carpet back, they’ve chewed up the pad and then they go ahead and call it into the wood floors that are down below. Um, and so this can become a big problem trying to put all this back together.

And so, um, as far as the repair goes, how do you repair this particular situation? You’re going to have to have a donor carpet, something that you can use instead of what there is currently because what you’ve got currently has been chewed up, shredded or destroyed sometimes as a small patch, like a, a, um, a small place where I, cat has tried to claw at the carpet or a dog has noticed a little string afraid in the carbon they’ve kind of picked at it or chewed on it. Um, and in those situations you could just take out that small area and be able to get a fresh new carpet put in that area. Now, where do you get that fresh new carpet from? [03:49] The main place that we pull from our most common places, a closet. Um, the one thing that you’re wanting to have to do whenever you’re doing a patch or you doing a repair is that you want to have like carpet, um, you can’t go to the store and buy another piece of carpet that’s going to be similar to your carpet. It’s got to be an exact match. Um, the main reason is that carpet does not all come in the same call, even if you went and bought the exact same style and type and color of carpet. Carpet comes in what they called dialogues and these dialogues will have a different variance each time they do probably 10,000 yards of carpet all at one time and they’d make up one big huge vat of dye that they die all of that carpet with. Now the next run of carpet, another dialogue, it will have a slightly different mixture because they’re mixing up enough di to do a massive quantity of, um, carpet.
[04:37] And so you can sometimes we get, almost definitely see the variance between the first dialogue and the second dialogue if you seem them directly together. Now, if you were to put one in one room and one in another room, you probably wouldn’t notice a difference. But if you take one existing carpet and then you try to patch another thing into it, you’re going to see the difference. Uh, one of the other things, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998, I’ve seen a lot of is that, um, carpet does not have carpet is just like a good, um, baseball cap or a, your favorite tee shirt or a sweater. Um, if you take it and you turn it inside out, you’re going to notice that the inside color of your shirt is different than the outside color of your shirt. This is because of sun. Sunlight on everything slowly fades the color, so it takes the color away.
[05:20] This is also gonna be used in Ozo machines to be able to produce, reproducing an oxygen effect that will actually help to kill off biological, um, things in the environment. But in this particular case is going to pull. The color is going to bleach the color out of your carpet. Um, if you were a window that sends a morning sun or an afternoon sun directly on it, you’ll notice that right along that window the carpet, we’ll kind of go white color sometimes other times, just the fact that the room gets light over five or 10 years, the color of that car was going to slightly change and so it’s good to use an existing piece of carpet from a closet or somewhere that’s going to match.
