It’s over 20 years of serving Tulsan surrounding communities. Um, and one of the main thrust for starting a complete carpet was that we wanted to be able to provide a complete carpet service to go to not only clean your carpets but also to be able to repair and maintain the life of your carpet so you didn’t have to call out to different servicemen to be able to accomplish one task.
[00:59] This allowed us to also have a better prices than everybody else because I’m. If I have to come out to do a small repair, let’s just say there’s a small place that a dog has chewed up or, or dug out the carpet, you’re going to have a service call. Whereas if you are getting the carpet cleaned anyway, then that can be put into a small add on to the other larger service of greed, getting the carpet cleaned and so you don’t have to have an individual fee just to come out to do the patch. The patch can be of significant less value up to half or more that you can save in the cost of the repair versus the cost of the repair alone with the cost. But cleaning. And so one thing that’s, I think important when dealing with these types of situation is that you make sure that you also have a, a, you maintain some type of piece of carpet that has a, that you can use from previous.
[01:48] Maybe it’s a previous installation or a piece from a closet. It’s something that you can do that you can give a kit. Some of these areas as they get damaged, we don’t have a lot of times people will needed to have something taken care of in a way that just was unique or custom. And so we ended up doing a lot of different jobs and especially to begin with and we still do to this day that other people just weren’t able to do or just hadn’t had the experience to do. Because sometimes these things are not something that you can really be taught how to do. carpet cleaning Tulsa It’s more that you have to get out there and get some real world experience of how these things would happen. Um, you know, you’re not going to be able to go to a classroom and see that, um, we need to do a patch that the patch has to match around a doorway that goes into another piece of carpet that’s of a different color that’s, that’s also transitioning into would that is the middle of being wrinkled, that had gotten water damage previously and that a dog had tried to tear up.
[02:42] It’s tough in those types of situation. We’ve got four and five different competing, um, areas all coming together at the same time know the right thing to do unless you’ve already done it before. And if that way didn’t work out exactly, then we just continued to keep fixing it. Probably the thing that we run into the most is when carpet will start to laminate. The lamination is a unique process where the carpet has started to break down normally because people have let too much dust and dirt and debris get into it or because they’ve just had too much foot traffic over an area. carpet cleaning Tulsa
[04:13] And the third reason that it can delaminating is because of the carpet is getting wet. Method. Carpet gets wet and sits wet for too long, the glue will soften and then it’ll eventually it will lose its bond to either the carpet or to the back end of the carpet. And once the back end of the carpet and the carpet has separated. This is called de lamination. Um, there no longer is a structural backend net that is holding the carpet together. And so the fibers will slowly start to fall out over time or you’ll get these weird snake like little wrinkles or buckles or hip hills that are, um, where the carpet is popping off of. The back end is not laying down tight and flat. And so, um, and these situations that you can try to patch it in, but the patch is only as good as the backing is hard to the carpet.
[04:54] And so if you run into something that’s systemic throughout the whole area, maybe the whole room got wet, it got too wet for too long or it’s had just really severe traffic. Then sometimes that’s just indicative that the carpet is at its end of life and that it’s time to be replaced or um, or just covered up another quick area that we could do sometimes that I’ve recommended to customers that if you got a bad area, but the whole area isn’t bad, um, is to just take a nice big rug and place it over the damaged area. Um, it’s not a fix as much as it is a patch kind of covering it over, but it does give you at least temporarily a longer life with the carpet.
