I had typically the question I get this ass from, whereas from a young teenagers or young 20 somethings who probably there’s a slight side in the back of their mind of is this a job that I would want to do or is this something new? Like A. I think the to emphasis, the two reasons. The main reason that I hear from people that asked this question for me, that the impression I get from them, I’ve got one of two groups. One group is wondering, is this something that I would be willing to do myself and do you enjoy doing what you’re doing because it looks like you’re having a lot of fun doing it.
[01:16] Have those group of people, I always give them the advice of um, uh, that my father gave me is they take any job that you do, that you become really good at, you become a master at will then become fun because it no longer is stressful and hard. Uh, give a good example of this is when you drive to work or you drive to school or you drive to church, whatever, something you do on either a daily or weekly basis. When you make that drive, eventually you’re going to get to that place and you’re going to get out of the car and start to walk in and turn around and think, I do not remember how I got here. And so a lot of the joy of driving is that you can be able to drive while doing other things like you’re able to drive and while listening to the radio you can drive well taking in the scenery or looking around at the places that you’re going and you remember, we all remember that first time that we drive.
[02:06] We’ve all got that image in our head of the of a a student driver or the first time somebody gets set behind the wheel of the car. We’ve got that iconic image from movies where somebody for the first time they drive a stick shift car. They try to put it into gear and it zooms up and then it zooms, zooms down and it just shuts the whole car off because they’ve stalled the car out and the whole thing just sit there in a place and they person is freaking out because they don’t know how to get it started back up or what they did wrong. We’ve had plenty of opportunities to try to fix other people’s mistakes and learn from the errors of our own ways to make sure that we make every customer happy and part of that is really becoming an expert in your field.
[02:47] And that is why you can enjoy what it is that you do. You can’t enjoy what you’re doing because it no longer becomes this big stressful thing. It’s not like that first time you got on the car and tried to drive and you’re afraid that every action you are going to do is ruin this vehicle. carpet cleaning Tulsa Or every time that you accelerate your can accelerate too fast or you’re not going to be able to stop and he hit the brakes and then you’re just going to go sliding or you’re going to try to make a turn and you’re going to drive right into a guard rail. You know all the fears that all every new driver has that they don’t know because they’ve not had the experience. And then you get the high end people who have done lots of driving for a long time and they could, you know, drive from one city to the next and not even remember the drive because they’ve done that.
[03:24] They’ve done that particular drive so many times and work can be that same way. If you really get out there and master whatever it is you’re working out, eventually you can get in there and you can go above and beyond just trying to learn to figure out what it is I need to do for work today. You could start going beyond and say, I’m going to have something that’s even greater. I’m going to go to something even better than what is currently happening in my place because I have already mastered what’s happening. carpet cleaning Tulsa So now I can learn to do something bigger, something more. And so there’s a joy from work at that point. When you know what you’re doing and you know that you can nail it and you already in advance can see what the what the other person doesn’t know what’s going to happen yet and you’re know you’re going to get them taken care of to the second type of person that asked that question.

You’re always dealing with someone else’s dirty carpet. The stinky carpet. I’m always dealing with a pet problems or pet thing here. You know how. How can you like doing what you’re doing and to those types of people. There is a secondary question. There is a secondary, I think motives behind it because they think whatever you’re doing is just gross and Yucky and yes it is gross. It is Yucky because you’re dealing with other people’s problems. You know you wouldn’t call somebody out to clean your carpet of your carpets are brand new and fresh. You don’t need us. You only need this when your carpets are dirty, but there is a joy at being able to get something taken care of that other people think has become bad enough that they don’t think it can be fixed and repaired, and that is, I think, the joy of being the kid. carpet cleaning Tulsa
[04:48] I call this the white board joy or the exit sketch joy. When you see that somebody has written all over the chalkboard all over a white board and you take that eraser and you go up there and you can just wipe across that eraser and make that whole thing look like nothing had ever been on there before or be able to remove all the marks. Or if you get an x sketch that somebody doodle all over a magic doodle and you get to shake it, or you get to take the little bar across the bottom of slide that bar across and watch everything that’s on there just disappear and go back to just a plain. Say, I’m playing space again. There’s a joy that comes with being able to do that. So there’s so many. [05:28] It’s still fun to me to be able to get out there, clean something, and see the expression on somebody’s face as they look to see a carpet. They figured was just going to come back looking mediocre and now it looks like new again or looks fantastic again and they’re the shock. That expression on their face. That’s, that’s the money shot for me. That’s the part that’s just so much fun that you know, it’s just like, okay, this is what I find the joy in because I’m able to bring happiness and be able to bring joy and build a restore somebody’s household back to the way they felt like it should have been.
