Seize your clean today. Uh, one thing that we’re going to talk about in this particular episode is what to do about pet spots, um, do a little bit of what we do.
[00:50] And then also tell you that. Talk a little bit about what you can do now. Obviously we can come out there and help you to restore your situation. I get calls every now and then for somebody wakes up the next morning and finds it of their dog was sick overnight and that there’s just, you know, parts throughout their area. The house smells really bad, there’s a lot of contaminants throughout and they just can’t take it. They don’t know what to do. So they give us a call and I said, you know what, I’m going to call that the professional take care of it and so we will come in there and we will get that taken care of and cleaned up for you now. Then we can go over that process later in this episode, but first I wanted to go over what you can do yourself because a lot of times I’m just by preventative maintenance and by staying on top of things you can get things taken care of that otherwise would have been a big problem or a big issue for you in the long run.
[01:33] I think number one thing with all pets is training. Uh, I noticed this seems to, I don’t want to throw the ball directly back into your court, but a first thing to think about is if you’re having a continuous problem with an area with a pet, is that you make sure that you can reduce that problem, the likelihood by just making sure the pet can’t get to those areas. One of the things I’ve seen so many times over the years is that, and I’ve given people this advice and people do this on their own, is that you just block off the areas of problem from your pets. Whether that be a baby gate or an or a pet gate or just making sure that, that, you know, if you’ve got a problem dogs, they just stay outside. carpet cleaning Tulsa Just give them an area that they do a one for.
[02:11] One thing I learned from a pet trainer that pets need a bathroom. They don’t see bathroom the same way that you and I see a bathroom. We look around. We visually look for a place that we would call a restroom because we want to see a circular porcelain. I’m a potty and that’s. We were like, okay, there’s that room that has a circular porcelain, a item that is where we would go to the bathroom, so we would walk throughout the whole house or walk through a whole building, looking for a little sign that shows that this is the place for the bathroom and this is where you have the appropriate place to be able to use the restroom. Pets on the other hand, use scent and smell the actual mark areas that they consider to be their bathroom and so as they come to go through a neighborhood, you’ll see them sniffing and smelling. carpet cleaning Tulsa
[02:50] Around. Half of that is because they want to mark both male and female dogs market. They’ve got a separate scent gland in there that they will put down a slightly oil like substance, kind of like a skunk does so that they can mark an area so that all, every other pet that comes through that area knows that this is their area, a girl’s mark because they want the boys to know that there is a female available in that area. And then boys mark, because they want to run off other boys to say that I own this, this region and that you can not cross into my territory. Um, and so both of those two marketing areas are a slightly different type of, of urine that they put down. And then there’s just the, I have to go to the bathroom side of a drink, a lot of water and now I must go to the restroom.
[03:29] And so each one of those is the dog will actually use smell and they can smell up to a half a mile away where they have established their bathrooms spot. Uh, with little puppies you will notice that they tinkle and p just everywhere. And so at the avenue puppy and you’re trying to potty train them, should just know that accidents are just going to randomly happen everywhere, not because they are specifically trying to pee, it’s just because like a little child, they’ve held it for too long. They didn’t realize they needed to go until it just starts to go and so it kind of like the turtle p and just need to make sure that you are maintaining them on puppy pads are in areas that have do not have carpet so that they do not establish a specific place. Older pets will establish one specific corner in a room or one specific area.
[04:09] The reason they go back to that same place over and over and over is because in their scent they have established that as their place and you will have to break them of that and get them to establish some other potty space. So when you’re doing your training, tried to help and think through the fact that they need to have a specific space establishment. They can establish a corner in the backyard once they know for sure that that corner in the backyard is there potty spot than they will as soon as they feel the urge to go to the bathroom. They’ll run to the door and they’ll sit there because they can smell their potty spots outside. It’s not inside. And so they go into the door hoping to get it open and majority of pets, once you open that door, you’ll see them make a beeline, the bolt right across the yard running for that one spot that they consider to be the bathroom place and they will run over there and they’ll hit it even in their backyard.
[04:50] They got all of the grass to go. They typically pick one area that they go on on a regular basis because that’s just where they’ve decided that they’re going to establish the bathroom as carpet cleaning Tulsa. Since 1998. And the next episode we will talk about what you can do to clean up that spot after you have done the first part of tried to train them, get them out. Sometimes you just have an accident, sometimes you just have a problem. So a dog gets locked in a bedroom and can’t get out. There’s just nowhere else that got to go to the bathroom. They can’t do it or the dog gets sick and is that is enabled to help it.
[05:24] Or you also have your little small dogs that are just yappy and they’re such a small pet that if they get too excited, they just, they, they put kind of like a turtle because they don’t have the ability. They just barks, allowed that mark so hard that their whole body kind of shutters a little tinkle comes out and they’ll be able to maintain those spots in between.
