One, eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine three. One of the things we get asked on a regular basis and with any water based cleaning is that there’s going to be a dry time. Um, and one of the processes that we do, there’s actually many different processes that we do to help to reduce this dry time.
[00:49] But one of the main ones that all chemicals and in no matter what you want to use or what equipment you use or, or what environment you’re in, is that you need to have enough suction to pull out anything you put in. Um, I called this balancing your wall and the carpet cleaning equipment needs to be balanced as the problem with so many little home units that people have, do not know the balanced way to use those units. A rug, doctors, another good example of something that just isn’t properly balanced because they have sat down and they don’t use it in a way that if you’re setting there in place and pull the trigger, put water down. Candidates suck the water up as fast as it’s putting it down. And the answer for the majority of all equipment out there is no. You need to move it at a faster rate. carpet cleaning Tulsa
[01:29] So got to put some water down while you’re moving so it can suck it up. And then let go of the suction and then go let go the water to do a couple of passes of suction to try to drive that down, try to pull out the moisture you put down. So we always try to balance the amount of water we put in with the amount of, um, assumption that we have coming out. There’s many different ways to do this. I’m going to just go over a couple of them with you here. Um, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 has given us the chance to experiment and try many different ways. Uh, one of the easiest ways is changing the amount of pressure that you’re going to put out on your, um, for your cleaning tool. If you put down less pressure, less water will come out of the jets that are there.
[02:08] So let’s say you’ve got a five, a four jet wand for jet cleaning solution, and you take the pressure from 600 down to 300. You will reduce the amount of flow of water out of that, those tips so that less water’s coming out, the suction has stayed the same. So you’re able to suck up more of the water quicker and so there’s less water in the carpet so it will stay a little bit drier for you. A secondary thing that you can do is change the actual physical tips of the wall. Let’s say the pressure of the water is static. You can’t change it, but you can change the size of the tip on the wall and this is probably about the same as using a different attachment on a garden hose. You know the garden hose, you can’t change how much water’s coming out and you can’t change where it’s coming out of, but you can change the attachment that’s on the end. So if you change the setting to from a jet setting and do like a spray setting or put a smaller tip on it, then it will reduce the amount of water coming out because it requires more pressure to get through a smaller hole. So there’s a certain amount of flow restriction for that same amount of pressure. So have you had the same 400 pounds of pressure?
[03:11] If you have that same 400 pounds of pressure, then you have a hard time for that moisture to get through that, um, that area without causing a bottleneck becomes your bottleneck pressure resistance spot. And so it will less water gets into the carpet. This more water can be sucked out because it’s not overwhelming your suction. So if you take from a number two tip, which allows, let’s just say one gallon a minute, dropped down to number one tip, which only allows a half a gallon a minute, then you will reduce the amount of water getting onto the carpet. Thus it will dry faster. Um, another way to help to increase your dry times carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 is actually by pretreating the carpet. Um, this may seem counterintuitive at first. You’d think I get the carpet wet so I can get it dry. carpet cleaning Tulsa But to be able to get anything out of anywhere, you need to be able to have a suction and suction is based upon having a good latch, a good connection to it.
[04:05] If you take any suction to put it in the air, you’re just going to suck Erin. Whereas if you want to try to suck up some water, you’ve got to make sure you’ve got a good seal. It probably the easiest way to think about this on the suction side is if you take a glass and you take a little suction cup and you push it against the glass, it will hold the glass and it will really latch down as long as it’s got a good seal all the way around the edge and you can take a dry suction cup and try to push it against the window and it will stick. But a lot of times a little harder to get it to really get that good grasp on it. But if you take that same Suction Cup and you look at once, get damp all the way around, and then push it in against the glass.
[04:38] It will first time suck in and hold right there and it could stay there for weeks or months because it’s created a really good tight seal that holds it in place. And a carpet cleaning is exact same way. You want to create a good seal around the edge of the wand where it’s going to suck the wall, suck the moisture back out, and if it’s running against uneven fibers are running against a lot of dry fibers and those fibers allow air to get sucked into the one. Instead of letting it lock down, it’s called like pulling up one side at a little suction cup and allowing some air to get into there. carpet cleaning Tulsa The whole suction gets released. Whereas if you go through and priest prayed all the carpet first, you putting a light amount of moisture across that carpet and when the wind comes over, it’s already going to lock down and really get a good suction, good seal against that carpet so that when the water’s going through and it’s trying to suck some of the water out, it doesn’t end up getting a bunch of air sucking through.
[05:24] It really latches down and suck through so you can get a lot more out of the carpet by priests spraying by dampening the carpet first so you can get a thorough more deeper clean. Out of it, another area that helps to keep the carpets to dry faster is by turning on ceiling fans, opening windows, allowing crossbreeds, putting a physical fan on it will help it to dry quicker also because now you’re forcing air crossing, increasing the evaporation rate, decreasing the amount of time it takes for it to dry.
