Speaker 1: (00:00)
This is episode two or 330 episode 330 we’re going to talk this time I continued on our talk about sources of dirt, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are complete carpet. I give us a call today at (918) 494-7093 or check us out on the web at (918) 494-7093 and our website, complete carpet, tulsa.com one thing that is a important as you’re dealing with sources of dirt, trying to capture it before it gets into your house, I’m wiping it off your pet, swiping it off your shoes, make sure that you’re trying to stay in a good healthy system as you’re going through all of this is that you also realized sometimes those sources of dirt emanate from the inside. Typically this is you’re a food. Somebody comes in a maybe in front of the couch is a little be there though. Eating some type of food, Cheetos, chips, cereal, something that gets falls off their plates. carpet cleaning Tulsa

So, um, one thing that we recommend our customer that I also do in my own home is that all of the drinks stay in the um, in an area that doesn’t have carpet in the kitchen, around a dining room table somewhere that it has a place you don’t have. You want to get a drink, go grab the drink. But so many times we take the drink with us, we set it right there in front of us while we’re sitting there at the table or we’ll have it right between her, uh, the coffee table or we’ll have it right on our knee or on a side edge table to this. And then as soon as we get up to move, we knock it over and it falls down on the carpet and gets it all wet. Or we let people walk through the House with a drink and is well skilled as we are.
Speaker 1: (01:43)
And as awesome as we are at trying to make sure that we maintain the best balance it ever spill or drop our drinks. If you’re going to be walking over on a surface that can absorb your drink, eventually it will be filled [inaudible] small kids’ toy on the ground that catches your toe or you step on something that hurts or you trip over something or you have somebody else walking the other way down the hallway and they bumped it to you. Instead, things that are outside of your control that they come and do. So if you just take all of your drinks and make sure they stay in an area that can be wiped it with a sponge where it’s on tile or in a kitchen or on a counter, or just leave it all in those areas and when you need a drink, go grab your drink and then that way you can keep the areas of the rest of your house will no longer get sticky or how big spills or sponsors across there. carpet cleaning Tulsa
Speaker 1: (02:27)
We obviously always want to try to stay hydrated and stay on top of our game, but sometimes it’s better to make sure that that happens in a place that we can easily clean up and that kind of the same way. Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998, uh, we, uh, we’ll have a specific area with a shower curtain and a basset basin in a tub that these different places that we want to have. Um, you know, if I took a shower I wouldn’t leave the curtain open or the door open because then this overspray from the shower’s gonna spray into the rest of my area that I’m in. So the bathroom is going to get all wet. Even though I’ve tried my best to contain it, you have to come full age, you know, keep certain things in the area that makes sense to them to be in.
Speaker 1: (03:08)
Um, also the same reason we want to play basketball or if you want to play baseball or you want to hit a hockey puck around the living room is not the best place for that because you have soft breakable things is you want to take those sports outdoors somewhere that you have lots of air and space and you can do it without worrying about bumping in and breaking into things. We keep the, you know, soft, breakable, valuable things in spaces that you’re in a designed to stay and look at the nonactive spaces. And then the very act of spaces are the areas where you’ll be out there and have things that aren’t breakable because you know, this can be an active space and that stuff was out there and we get knocked over, broken. Uh, so kind of treat the inside of your home the same way.
Speaker 1: (03:46)
Just have certain space that you say, you know what? These are not food places. There is a specific food place. It’s over here. Or if you do, I like, we like to come in and say to the Ottoman sometimes and we’ll take a blanket, put it over the Ottoman and then they have to have, um, only snacks or foods and only certain types of food that we’re going to eat on the, there. We’re not going to come in and take a big huge plate of Jello and have that in the living room because more than likely the, between the picking up of the Jello and trying to put it in your mouth, it’s going to fall off at some point. It’s just human nature, just law of averages that eventually is going to, what can happen will happen eventually. Um, these will help to reduce these different places and sources of dirt.
Speaker 1: (04:31)
One thing that we also recommend our customers do, because sometimes you’ve got areas that just, they just get more physical steps. I, if I come into the living room, I’m going to walk through and around the living room to wherever it is that I want to try to get or wherever I’m trying to go. And so I will go to that space. I will walk across the room and so it’ll take a my rooms 15 feet wide. So it’s going to take, you know, 10 to 12 steps to get across the room, uh, and then could turn around and walk back across the room. Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 Another 10 to 12 steps. Um, and so I’m up to maybe 20 or 30 steps, but for me to put, say a thousand steps would take me just walking back and forth across the room all day long, which we don’t do.
Speaker 1: (05:09)
But if you’re sitting in front of the couch in front of the TV watching, sitting on your couch, you may be sitting there tapping your heel or moving your foot or shifting your feet from left to right. And so you can potentially in just a couple of hours, put a thousand steps in front of your couch. And that’s why it gets a lot more wear. And so anywhere, a rocking chair is a good example. You want to, every time you rock back and forth, your foot taps onto the ground and it’s not that big a deal for that day or that week or that month. But a year or two later, it’s gotten 10 times as much foot traffic and where as all the rest of the carpet because somebody sat in that chair and push themselves back and went forward, back and forward, back and forward, back and then forward Carpet cleaning Tulsa Since 1998 we are complete carpet.
Speaker 1: (05:51)
Um, one of the things that both those two areas that can help is to put a rug. We recommend sometimes picking up a remnant piece of carpet. Do you can get it fairly cheap for 15 or $20. You can pick up a remnant piece of carpet, put it there. If you wear it out in a year, then you just throw it away and buy another 15 or $20 little piece of carpet and that’ll help to stop that where and stopped that grind.
