Speaker 1: (00:01)
This is episode three 31. We are complete carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. Give us a call today at (918) 494-7093 or I talk to about Dustin your home, how to main tain and manage the uh, in and the out of the, uh, dust that’s coming into your homes that you can figure out what it is that you need to be able to come up with a better cleaner solution throughout your home. Uh, one thing we’ve noticed is a lot of people back in the early two thousands perfectly carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we’ve seen this trend to come along as we were working, we found that people were switching over to all tile floors for awhile there. Uh, which sells good at first because that’s something that you want to try to get to taking care of when we remove any source of third and clean up and whatnot at.
Speaker 1: (00:48)
The problem is, is that um, straight to everyone figured out quickly was a very high one is a very hard surface. So it was more difficult on the hands, the knees if you did fall or drop something it was going to break. Um, the second part is that, um, it also is a, does not absorb any noise. It is a, uh, it reflects noise quickly. So as you walk through whatever he did back in your master bathroom within carry across all the way through to the kitchen because there’s no noise barriers running through all those different areas. So one of the things that people started doing over those, all those hard surface homes and start putting rugs across all of the surfaces perfectly carpet cleaning Tulsa is in our fiber. One of the things that, um, we noticed is in those areas, uh, they, people did not think ahead of time to say, Hey, now that we’re putting all hard surfaces in, what will a rug over that surface due to the surface?
Speaker 1: (01:42)
And so that’s where we wanted to try to help a little bit to hear today is you’ve got wood floors in here. Your soft surfaces. A laminate floors could be the same way when you put a rug down without a rug mat. The backing of the rug now becomes like sand paper because it’s pretty rough on most rug that you pull it back and took your hand. You start rubbing across the back of it. You’re going to heat up your hand and rub your hand raw pretty quickly. And so you want to take and put the, um, uh, put a rug mat. They make them fairly cheap. You can get it for like $10 to $50, depending on the quality of the rug mat. There’s ones that just like a, a net that looks kind of this rubberized netting that just sits underneath of you, cut it to fit.
Speaker 1: (02:20)
Uh, you can all the way up to an actual physical pad, which is this little mat pad or a rug pad that goes underneath, gives a little extra cushion, a little extra feel, but just wanting to put something between that rug and would force every time you step on it, you’re not slapping the s the roughness of that. Um, surface against foot floor. I’ve seen many times where someone will roll their rug up and there’s a halo around the rug of clean or shiny looking wood floors and under the rug as dull and cause this had all these micro scratches from people walking on it. The rug itself may not move, but every time you step on it, it does at least kind of Scooch a little bit under the weight of your foot. A carpet cleaning Tulsa is in our fiber. One of things that you also will see, it doesn’t do it so much to tile floors and tile floors.
Speaker 1: (03:03)
You will definitely get your rugs a scooching. They will move across anyone’s ever had rotted floor for awhile, uh, over rugs, over their heart floors or even concrete for that matter. And we’ll notice that they start to have this little bit of a creep or crawl in front of a couch to sit on the couch. You kind of shifts for a little bit, which moves the rug and then you sit on the couch or shifts or moves the again. And next thing you know, the rugs moved halfway across the room or gets a big buckle in it. If you put a rug mat underneath it, that will help tremendously. Uh, one thing I want to caution you against carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 I’ve seen this many times where people will put down double stick tape to try to hold the rug in place. This is okay to do for a really, really, really, really short time.
Speaker 1: (03:43)
Uh, you do not want to go beyond say a week or two because it’s just like painter’s tape. If you put the white paint their state down, you’ve got about a three day window to take it back up before the glue will dry out and it will start to adhere permanently or stick permanently to the surface. These blue painter’s tape, it can last quite a bit longer. You could probably get two weeks out of glutamate painter’s tape, but also will then adhere permanently to the floor after the glue dries out. The same thing happens with double stick tape and put it down and you’ll put the carpet over it. And then I’ve had people put it down for a year or two and now that tape is turned into this gummy glue and it’s now stuck hard to the both the back of the carpet and the back of the rug.
Speaker 1: (04:24)
So what you want to do is use the double stick tape and tape the rug pad to the rug so the to stay together and it’ll make a nice, good permanent bond cause it’s going to dry out and stick the two together. And you don’t have to worry about ruining your carpet because so many times I’ve had customers pulled the rugs up, carpet cleaning Tulsa 1988. I’ve seen this over and over throughout the years where someone would pull a rug up and now they’ve got a big square box around where the rug sat because the they, they have tried, or at least they got some of that tape up, but it left a residue on the carpet that is gray and sticky. Uh, so try to make sure that you don’t use it that way. Someone at the store should be telling people how you please.
Speaker 1: (05:02)
This is a double stick tape. It can be used on carpet, but please don’t leave it there because it will dry out. Uh, one thing that we want to leave you with is that all flooring surfaces are a wastebasket. So, um, take it some time to do a little bit of vacuuming to your carpet. You don’t have to do a huge amount of time, but every couple of days go out there and do a light vacuum mount with the first five to 10 areas by just five to 10 feet in your areas of home that come in from the outside. So take your backdoor to the first five to 10 feet onto the carpet, to the front door, to the first five student fee and do your garage the first five to 10 feet. Those three areas of your sources of outside dirt. Um, maybe the area that comes in off the things I may be in front of your couch.
Speaker 1: (05:41)
So it should take you 60 to 90 minutes seconds at the very most to just kind of whip out, hit those high traffic areas. A couple of times one or two pass them in the back of me. If you do that every two days, then the dirt will ever spread beyond there and the rest of the house won’t need as much vacuuming. A lot of times the rest of the house vacuuming, because the entry areas haven’t been vacuumed often enough, and now the dirt is spread through the whole house because you’ve waited a week or a month to vacuum. Same thing with your wood floors and your tile floors. If you let them go more than a few days, you start to get dust bunnies and grit all over the floor so your carpet has the same dirt. It just is hiding it better because it has longer fibers perfectly, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are complete carpet.
