Um, when you’re dealing with carpet cleaning, you’re wanting to do two things. One, dry time is very important. Uh, you want to make sure that the carpets, as they get wet, they’re also able to get dry. This is probably one of the biggest thing that was a problem for a lot of, uh, people’s carpets long ago or even today if you use a small rug doctor or you can have the greatest, biggest machine. And if the filters are clogged, it will turn it down to a little kitten, a little mouse like machine because it can’t get any of the water out of the floor that it’s putting into the floor. Um, and this is important to have a balanced machine and to use the machine as it’s supposed to be designed.

Some people will, uh, pull the trigger on the upstroke, which means the suction is going up, but the water is going down. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa And so it’s leaving, putting water down. It’s not getting fucked up. And uh, that can put down too much water to where when you come down on your downstroke there’s more water there and then the machine has the capacity to suck up as the speed that you’re doing it. Um, a great example is if you took a small shop back and you took a fire hydrant and you’d turn the fire hydrant on and you started to use the softbank back to try to suck up all the water and the fire hedge it’s putting out, um, it would just be a never, there’d be a no wind solution. There’s no way that that fire, that shot back can fill up that fire hydrant and the two of them would just be competing against each other, but there’d be no way to really get over into that next course of action, get into that next spot because it would just, it would be flooding it and it would be stuck.

So we make sure that our machine is balanced properly so that the amount of suction the carpet cleaning is able to do is able to put down the same amount of water that’s going to be able to suck back up. You don’t want to have too much water to where you can’t suck it up, but you don’t want to have too little that you are wasting the time that you could be putting into rinsing the carpet. Um, so in this case, uh, you’d want to have the carpets being done in a way that leave the debris go over in the carpet. So we’ll get in there, we’ll give it a good sir, thorough, solid cleaning and uh, try to get that taken care of in a way that allows the carpet to dry in a most efficient way possible.

Because one, you need to get the dirt out, but two, you need allow it time to dry. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa And this, the process that we do, the heat of the water can help to and prove dry time. The, um, leaving less chemical in the water can help to improve drive times so it doesn’t hold the moisture into the carpet. And the problem that a lot of people use to have [inaudible] oversaturate the carpet scrubbing an area without doing the appropriate amount of drying to it. And this would in turn leave the carpet feeling rather um, uh, really damp and take a long time to get through its full dry cycle. And if it takes too long to dry, it will start to damage the carpet. They, if it stays wet for more than 12 to 24 hours, then the carpet backing the glue will absorb the moisture, then softening that up, which then eventually can lead to the lamination.

So you want to make sure that whoever you have doing your carpet cleaning is using something that will get the carpets dry in six to eight hours. Um, optimally, uh, some of our jobs that we do, we actually see drive times as low as two hours. Um, I’ve had a customer we did the last week and she said that, uh, I don’t know why. I always tell people it takes six to eight hours to dry cause ours only took two hours to dry. And so the majority of them do go that quickly. But it always gives you like to give people a high level of expectation. And then if we beat that or we it considerably, then you’re excited about the job that we did. As opposed to say that they could take anywhere from two to eight hours. And You wonder why you’re always the person who has eight hours. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.

The longer dry times for our particular method machines would be that there’s just more fiber to dry a, every area has a different quantity of fiber and that fiber can hold a different capacity of water. So between those, that quantity in that capacity, it ended up being something simple that you’re just like, okay, of course, if you’re going to operate at this speed, this amount of fiber will take this amount of time. Um, a lot of older carpet cleaning machines or people who haven’t maintained them, let’s say their hoses don’t have good connectors, connections on it or that say that the, uh, machines filters are dirty so it can’t let as much water through because it can’t bring as much water through it. Um, any of those situations, uh, maybe someone has a, um, isn’t keeping the one on the ground. So it’s perpetually trying to draw down suction. It’s not suctioned all the time. All these different approaches to it can slow down the speed at which you clean. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa Um, and this leaves more water in the carpet, which in turn leads to longer dry times, but also the more water that’s left in the carpet, the more dirt slept in the carpet. The whole way that a steam clean system works is that it uses water to get down into the carpet to then rinse it all back out. So it needs to go in to be able to come back out. And if it’s not going through that process, then you’re not getting out, which are putting into it. And so this is important because this will make a big difference on whether that carpet looks really good or it doesn’t look really good, whether it’s going to be fresh and clean and you’re gonna have a difference in the ability and the look of it or if it’s going to look dingy and dirty still because the is not been removed.

We clean our filters multiple times throughout the day so that every job has nice fresh, clean filters. Every job is we’re using the best and most powerful that our machine can be. Um, and we’ve up kept him and kept him up. Well, a small rug, doctors, uh, if done properly to clean an entire house will take you probably around eight hours or so. Uh, because you need to spend probably 30 minutes to an hour per room using a rug doctor because it is a very low suction machine. So you’ll need to use one pass with water, one pass, one or two passes with suction. And you just kind of keep going back and forth over areas, giving lots of sections for every little bits of water put down that way.
