This is complete carpet. And one thing that we know better than anything is how to keep your carpets clean. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998 and I wanted to focus this go round on general maintenance. There’s big things you can do. Kind of go after big spots and going after the, you know, the big flashy large things. But sometimes it’s as simple things that habit. Uh, the, the old saying goes, the chains of habit are so light too that you can’t even feel them until it was so heavy to break that you cannot break them. And so one of the things I think people, uh, struggle with, Oh, we all do. No matter what it is in our life is having a sense of what we consider to be our schedule is. And I love Clark. Howard was talking on a show once and he said that he liked to do what he called one minute workouts.

And so he starts off the first day working out for one minute. Everyone can do something for one minute tomorrow. I’m going to add one minute to that as a tomorrow. It will be two minutes. Everyone can do two minutes of workout. And then day three, we do three minutes. Just add one minute every day. And finally, the things that you could do. So many times we try to get in there and be like, you know what, today, that’s it. I’m going to have a completely whatever. I’m going to completely change my diet or change my routine. I’m gonna change the way that I approach my kids, the way that I dress or the way that land. And it’s so jarring. It’s such a big change. Sometimes we do have a shock as a few people that are successful. It’s that guy who goes to cold Turkey.

It’s like, all right, that’s it. I’m just never going to drink again or smoke again or whatever. I’m never going to go shopping again. And whatever. My thing is that I feel like I want to change. I’m never going to cuss again. I’m never going to, you know, or I’m going to always start doing this. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa I’m going to start, you know, doing the action that I consider matches up with my beliefs. And the problem is that we try to just go full in and there’s a few people that if they have a big enough change moment in their life that just breaks down. I had a friend who got in for a major scare for a problem with his lungs and they said it’s because you spoke, said as long as you smoke, you’re going to have this problem for the rest of your life.

And so it was a painful life experience over multiple months that he just stopped smoking. And just because now he’s afraid. Every time he looks at a cigarette, he remembers that tremendous pain that he was in. And so he stops at another good friend who had a similar situation and he went in, knew that the cigarettes caused his coughing problems and instead got used to the pain of the coffee and problems and kept smoking cigarettes. So we don’t all have this as a positive thing. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa But in both those two cases, neither one started off smoking a pack a day and you’re like, how did they end up to where they’ve smoking? One, two, three, four packs every day of cigarettes is they started off with one cigarette and they smoke that and the next day they, they might smoke that one cigarette and maybe a two and some point long down in the future.

They’re smoking multiples throughout the day or a pack at a day or had an uncle who actually smoked multiple packs per day, two or three packs a day, which is just a tremendous amount of cigarettes. But you can work this in reverse. And so a lot of times we want to just go out there and be like, all right, this is it. I’m just gonna change everything all at once, changed all my habit patterns, everything I’ve got all at one time. And then one weekend we haven’t changed anything because we haven’t established a different, a new pattern. We did it two jarringly that are, uh, it was just, uh, disrupted our, our sense of what we’re going to accomplish all at one time. And so our suggestion is that you just choose to do one thing and make it a small incremental change until you’re so used to it as a habit that you just do everything that way.

As the old adage goes, the way you do anything is the way you’ll do everything. Carpet Cleaning Tulsa And so changing one habit won’t affect all the rest of your habits that you have in place because they’re what? Your body feels comfortable. It’s not what’s best for you. It’s not what’s good for you, it’s just what kept you alive yesterday. And your body will repeat that same habit, that same pattern the next day just because it’s trying to keep you alive, not because it’s the best thing for you, but it’s just a yoke, a chain of that habit. So I wanted to go over here. What are some good habits? So you’d have an idea of, Hey, when I go to change up my behavior, my habits, what are some good habits I can establish that will help me to get more longevity in life out of my carpet?
