It only gets a little bit of driving every now and then without AC. It’s only kind of a spring and fall type of driving or maybe in the winter when the heat works, but a lot of times it just stays in the garage most of the time. So because have not put much usage on it, it goes to, goes to reason that the, uh, tires will not wear out. Now, carpet is the same way. If you put carpet into your home and never ever walk on it, then the carpet in 30 years from now will still look like it did 30 years ago. So the question is not can you get long life out of your carpet? What is going to consume or use up the life of your carpet on tires? It makes sense because we’re used to them lasting a certain number of miles because each time you drive the uh, rubber on the road will slowly start to wear off.

It’ll kind of grind down like sandpaper your tire and over time they give them the tip, typically give them a radium, but 30,000 miles, 50,000 miles, 10,000 miles, it depends on what you’re going to do with those cars. The NASCAR cars, they actually go through multiple sets of tires in a single day because they’re racing at high speeds, putting huge amounts of stress on those tires. And they need a tire that will 100% grip all the time. And so they soon as they start to it, a little soft or a little bit of the potential that they could slip and slide in those tires, they immediately need to switch to a better set of tires. Or if they just physically are putting so much torque and pressure against it, they grind off the rubber on the tire faster. Drag racers use one set of tires every drag race, so they actually don’t get know.

They get that quarter mile potentially out of those set of tires. And that’s it. So if you think of it that way, you’re like, Oh my goodness, what would you, could you afford to drive your car if every quarter mile you had to change your tires? Like, well, no, of course not. Uh, for example, if you wanted to have 1000 people visit your house in one day, your carpets are probably going to be about hammered by the time you get finished with that day because you’ve now taken and put in around three or four years worth of wear in one day to your house. This there. Now what does a rug do now? Let’s break it down in a couple of different areas. First, the number one area would be that rugs are decorative. A lot of times you’ll put a rug in an area because it’s, you’ve got tan carpet with beige walls and white ceiling and there’s not a liquor color in the room. And so you bring in a nice Oh blue or red or jewel toned or, or a pattern print rug and now all of a sudden the room looks more snazzy. It looks kind of freshened up. It looks, it looks cool. Another thing that rugs can be done or used for is to cover up something that does not look cool. For example, you might have a kid that walks the living room with a giant glass of Hawaiian punch and they spill it right in the middle and now you’ve got a giant red stain right in the middle of the thing. Hawaiian punch is, for all intents and purposes, it’s just red dye. It’s got some good flavors to taste like something more than just red dye, but if you look in there, one of the ingredients in Hawaiian punch is red dye number four. Food coloring is a type of dye and this just got loads of it, so almost as soon as that’s getting into your carpet, it is immediately altering the color of the carpet. It’s one of the unfortunate sides of carpet is that is a dyeable fabric. The unfortunate side is that it is a dyeable fabric, so you can get it in many different colors. Um, and so when you’re dealing with carpets and you’re trying to pick what you want, uh, just to remember that, to get to the color that you liked, that beautiful dark blue or that jeweled gray or that, um, black, or even if you just went with a white carpet or a tan and burgundy, whatever the color of the carpet that is, that you liked, you then had to get that carpet dyed to that coloring that you may not have done the nine yourself.

But the manufacturer made that carpet with a fiber that they took. When you are Carpet Cleaning Tulsa. They took that nylon and changed its color. The one fun little thing game you can play as you’re going around and visiting people’s homes is that you can kind of tell, because we’re all seasonal on our approaches, we’re also cyclical in what we do. And you can go around and as you’re looking at different carpets, you could almost tell the age of the carpet and the house based upon the color that was chosen. If you have a, uh, kind of a Brown and white mixed kinda this multicolor with highs and lows, they call it sculptured carpet. You’re probably looking at carpet from the 80s. That was very popular back in the eighties and nineties. Or you’re in a mobile home.
