Carpet Cleaning Tulsa | Episode 494 | Complete Carpet

We are Complete Carpet. But sometimes we need to fact check. Sometimes we need a second source of opinion, which is why almost every time if I go to a doctor and I get a certain diagnosis, I’m going to make sure I check that against somebody else. Not because that doctor is not a great person, but I may have gone to somebody that that’s not their area of expertise and in this case, the person that they’d asked their area of expertise was not patching and repair because if it had been, they would have immediately known this can be patched, this can be taken care of, replacing all the carpet and spending thousands of dollars was not the solution for this particular place. Now, if they want a longterm solution, maybe they do want new carpet. If you do want new carpet, we always suggest tell our customers, Hey, I’m going to give you two options here. One option is what I can do to get more life out of this carpet, but at the end of the day, this is your home, this should be your castle. This is where you want to get back home to. This is where you want to go to. So I’m going to empower you that if you just want to change your home, you want to have something different and this is your reasoning. I’m notoriously bad for this. I will have a TV and it’s a very old TV, but it has still is a good picture. It just, it’s a, it’s not a flat screen TV. It’s actually kind of a big box. It’s not a full box screen. It’s a little like a large projector screen TV. I’ve still got it. It’s still at our playroom and I will, it is not broken. It has not gone out. We have been Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998.

So I still have that TV in there and I am hard wired. I can not get rid of or throw something away unless it’s broken. There’s still more value to get out of it. I’ll keep getting value out of it. That’s my hard wire. So until something’s broken, I don’t replace it. I just keep fixing it. I just keep getting all the little value. I just kind of, to me carpet is like tires. I just keep driving it until I’ve rubbed all the truck tread off. But that is not the right case. That is not the right solution for everybody. Sometimes people need that point is give them permission to say, I want to get some more life out of this carpet. But to be honest, I hate my carpet. I do not like the look of it. I don’t look the feel of it. We have been Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998.

I don’t. So you dread coming home because your carpets are not something that just screams luxury or really makes you feel at ease at home. So if that is what you’re dealing with you, if you look at the carpet and you can just, your skin crawls and you’re like, Oh, now I get it. Sometimes you don’t have the finances yet, so you need to have those carpet cleaned so that you can stand them more. So you can enjoy them for a little bit more until you do have the resources to get that done. But at this particular case, this customer actually had tax, they’re exposed and the carpet wasn’t getting up to it. We just love Carpet Cleaning Tulsa. And until he replaced the carpet, he felt like he couldn’t solve that problem. And so he had carpet that he couldn’t replace and he just had to deal with the fact that every time they walked across there, they had to be real careful not to step on that tack, otherwise it’s stabbed their foot.

And all that is another level of pain that you have yet to experience. If you’ve never stepped on the tax sticking through carpet or bare tax at some point with a barefoot, Oh let me tell you, it is a shock to your system that you will just, it is difficult to recover from that. We have been Carpet Cleaning Tulsa since 1998. You, you will walk from that point. It’s almost, it’s almost as bad as having a dog bite tubes because from now on, every time you get near a dog your hand is naturally withdrawals and every time you walk around from that point forward, if you stepped on a tack once for like a week, maybe even a month later, everywhere you go you do this weird like little bunny hop where you get up to a transition. You’re kind of trying to get between two spaces and you know that there might be taxed up there. We just love Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.

And so you do this weird like little extended step where you kind of hop over the transition so you don’t know, maybe there was an attack, there’s a, you’re just going to make sure you avoid all transitions everywhere so you don’t ever step on another tack ever again. And this customer had had that same experience. They kind of came up at you and they would walk around it, they’d walk over, they kind of do a little jump. And so I said, you know what, here I believe that I could fix that. But I understand that you believe that it’s not fixable. So what if we find a compromise? What if I try to fix this and if I don’t do a good job, you do not have to pay me. But if I can fix it and I can make it to where I bring it up to a standard of excellence that you’re okay with, then you would be able to pay me the amount that it would be for this particular patch.

I think it was 55 or $60 and so in this particular case I said, you know, if you’re unhappy with it, you don’t owe me any money. I said, but either way it at least to be a slight improvement. Either you don’t pay anything and it’s a slight improvement or you know, you go ahead and pay me because you feel like I’ve made a great improvement and say, okay, if you’re that confident about it, I’ll give you a shot. And when I finished, he came over and he shook my hand and he’s telling me I have got to thank you. I actually, I’m going to take it a step farther. I’m going to tell you right now that my feet, thank you. And I said, huh. That was the first time I’ve ever had a customer tell me their feet were thanking me. He says, we have avoided this area for so long. We just love Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.

He said, I actually just wear how shoes in the house all the time. He’s goes, I don’t go without shoes, a house because I’ve stepped on that a few times and I’ve just decided that it is better not to ever step on it again and wear shoes than to go without feet and to have the risk that I might step on these tax. At some point he said, I can now walk into my kitchen between my living room to my kitchen and I don’t feel the tax anymore. It’s covered it and it looks good and I’m not ashamed of what this does. It transformed that 30 minutes of doing that patch patch. It transformed their entire feel of what the living room was like, the entire feel of what the space was supposed to be like and so right there in that moment in a 32nd window of time, they went from dreading their living room, transition to the kitchen, dreading their living room or being ashamed of having people over to it was completely removed out of their mind. It wasn’t on their scope of the radar anymore. Now they knew now that they have the right knowledge and they had the right connection to the person who could help them with that knowledge. They now say, wow, I immediately do, and I guarantee you from that point forward, they never once looked at that place and thought, Oh, I better buddy hopper, step over this little spot, because now they had the solution. can be better. You don’t have to settle, and a lot of times you’ve settled not because you’re okay with it, but because you have genuinely believe or somebody has told you, it’s just not fixable. And once you know that it is fixable, now you know that I could have a life where I come home and I don’t dread coming home. I don’t dread inviting people over to my house. I don’t dread going through my house without my shoes on. I don’t dread sitting down or laying down on my floor. I don’t dread the smell that my house has because of the carpet, because it’s, it’s absorbed a certain amount of smell and just, I guess that’s just what my house smells like now. Um, I don’t dread having a party or an event or a gathering at my place because I fear of what people will think when they come into my home. We just love Carpet Cleaning Tulsa.
