One of the biggest things that when you’re going to sell your house, it’s probably the one of the main reasons that we see a lot of people get their carpet stretched you for the health and the maintenance of the carpet.
[00:57] You should be getting it stretched on a regular basis. You shouldn’t allow it to get to a point where you have large wrinkles throughout the house because carpet is like a, um, a trampoline carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. But if you take that same metal coat hanger out and you start bending it up and down and up and down and up and down, really in about 30 seconds to a minute, you can break the metal coat hanger into two different coat hangers. The two different pieces just because of the movement up and down, bending it beyond it’s stretched capacity. And a carpet is a lot the same way that every time you step on it, it’s kind of a, it starts to move up and then it moves down. The tighter it is, the less it moves. And the looser it is, the more it moves. So if you’ve ever stepped, have you seen a wrinkle in a house and you’ve ever stepped directly on that wrinkle, you’ll see that area and all the air route it kind of all flex really move almost like a put your hand into a pillow a optimally.
[02:37] If you don’t want your carpets to stretch it, all a commercial applications actually glue the carpet straight to the floor so that the carpet cap move, uh, it can’t break down because it’s been a walked on the same way that your purpose in your home are now. Most people don’t want to glue down the carpet in their home because that would cause it to be, oh, it would just be a very uncomfortable and be really hard on your knees. One of the main reasons to keep your carpets stretch, to keep them flat tight is that, uh, if a loose carpet will continue to get more loose over time because it’s being walked on and it now has a lot more give and flex to it, which is causing the backing of the carpet, the glue and the, and the fibers and the backing to, to start to relax or to break down faster than they should.

Just at the end of this one episode, I want to give them a justice, but the main reason to get your carpets stretches to prolong the life of your carpet. Um, and so by keeping their carpets nice and tight, the carpet will actually lasts longer because it’s not bending and moving as much. Uh, the same thing can be also said that, uh, that’s why, uh, center show a denser pad. The more dense the pat is, the more resistance that has and the thinner that it is, the less movement the carpet has, the longer the carpet will last. Um, you’ll see this in your decorative carpet like Berber. They almost always use a three eights or quarter inch pad that allows them to be lots of different and they last a lot longer.
