[00:48] We can try and get taken care of for you. Continuing from where we’re at last time, talking about doing seams breaking seems to try to help to get a stretch done. We always try to go to an open and flat wall and if all of the furniture is out, it makes it a lot easier, gives us a lot more options on how to get things done. Now, it doesn’t mean that every time you always have to tear all over the furniture out of, uh, out of the rooms to be able to get the stretch done. Uh, there’s many times where we’ve gone in to do a stretch and the stretch is near a, a wall that’s, you know, an outsider exterior wall with no things. And so we can just move a couple of pieces of furniture off of it. Typically the easiest, the rule of thumb, carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998.
[01:28] I always tell people, if you’re standing on the wrinkle with a wrinkle going to your left and go into your right, that wrinkle will need to go to be able to stretch it properly. You will need to stretch it by moving the wrinkle either in front of you or behind you. And so whichever wall does not have a door on it is the preferable route. That way you don’t have to break a theme and so we’ll just clear the furniture off of there. Now it sometimes you do have to move all the furniture, but a lot of times the way that stretching works is where the power stretcher, you actually either take. We’ve got two different types of power. Stretcher was called a claw, one’s a junior stretcher that could go all the way across the room and both of them take and pull the carpet towards the tax.
[02:08] Now it will by pulling it towards the tax, you’re pulling it away from the tack Strip on the other side of the room and the other side of the room has the tack strips and they’re facing away from you. So that locks into the carpet and now you’re putting tension on it like a rubber band, like putting a rubber band between two pegs or taking a, um, uh, if you take a Bungee cord and you snap it onto one side and stretch it to get it kind of tension on it and map it to the other side. Ron Bowstring, that’s kind of got that nice tension on it. You’re wanting to do that same type of attention on your carpet so that it will be stay one, it will stay on the tax because it’s got that tension and two, it will stay flat or if it does grow it all, it will absorb some of that tension and it will stay flat the entire time.
[02:50] Uh, one thing that’s in Portland doing this is that you want to be able to get that stretch to go across. All that furniture that’s all in there sometimes is a problem, but the majority of the time it won’t matter because the way that carpet stretch and work, there’s a lot like for those of us that remember having a tablecloth on your table. You can put all the dishes on there and if there’s a wrinkle right in the middle of the, of the tablecloth, you could have somebody standing on both sides and they just pulled out on the table cloth and that wrinkled will just slide out from underneath. All of the dishes have all these heavy dishes everywhere, but you could slide the tablecloth out from underneath it because it was tight underneath and you weren’t needing to move all the dishes and the power stretching works about the same way when you stretch carpet and that it’s pulling away from the other wall, but it’s pulling it to just make it tight underneath the stuff.
[03:43] It’s not needing to move the whole room. It just making it tight underneath all of the items. Sometimes you have a really heavy piece of furniture. This is really important. It’s probably one of the parts that we, I forgot to mention in the reasons for having wrinkled carpet. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this over and over again. Somebody that moves a very heavy piece of furniture and they move it without putting sliders on it or without lifting it. They just, they just push it and drag it across the floor. And, uh, if you take something has gotten that’s heavy enough, as you push it across the room, it’s going to pull the carpet with it. So it’s going to develop a little hump that goes with it and you push it across the room and let it set there. The way to the the item, the furniture, the piano, whatever the item is you’ve moved across the room is holding the carpet in that place and you can create this big hump or buckled next to it because you would your own personal power and force have stretched the carpet over that direction.
[04:35] The same way we’d use the power stretcher to push the carpet that direction. You’ve done it with a piece of furniture. The way that you can fix this, there’s two ways is that when you get the piece of furniture where you want it to move it about six inches past where you want it, and then bring it back, say six inches so that you can release all of that tension, tension, and pressure that you’ve put on the carpet by pulling that piece of furniture back and releasing that wrinkle. The other part is moving to the place that you want it to. And then lift up one side of the piece of furniture. So it was up off the carpet to release the tension, it’s putting it on and then lift up the other side of the furniture to release that tension also. Carpet stretching Tulsa Or we can do the same thing with heavy pieces of furniture when we’re stretching it will use the power stretcher to stretch the carpet across the room and then we’ll go over there and lift up the corner of a bed or the quarter of a dresser and allow that power stretch has got all this tension.
[05:19] It’s, it’s, you know, it’s created this a ratchet back to pull on both sides. Both string like tightness, but there’s something heavy on the most that’s keeping it from being tight all the way across the room. Lift up that heavy thing, allow that tension to pop out from underneath it and then put it back down and that can allow the attention to go across in the room. Again, optimally we it’s best to just move all the furniture out of the room. I’ve had a few times where people have pieces of furniture in the room that were built in the room. They would have to disassemble it to get it out like a large desk or a bunk bed or an entertainment center that just.
[06:00] It doesn’t fit through the door. There’s no way to get it out without disassembling it, so we found creative ways to shift everything to one half of the room, stretch that half of the room, move everything the other half of the room and then stretch that half of the room and so there is some creative ways and ways around that we could still get it stretched even though you have furniture in the room.
