Sometimes carpet can be stretched very simply. You can just go in, there’s a direct wrinkle across a room in a square room and it’s just, you just pull it out and be able to get it taken care of. [00:49] Um, and this comes in when you’ve got someone who’s wanting to sell a home. They know that there’s issues and problems with the carpet, but they’re wanting it to look the best they can to just kind of lessen the effect of it. At this time, but they did want the doorways to look a little flatter. They wanted the area, the puckers around the closets to be a little bit flatter and so we went through and didn’t stretch the entire room. We just took care of the most visible of the wrinkles. [02:13] I saw a site that you saw going into the bedrooms to be able to be taken care of and we wanted to get on top of that for them so they’d be able to show the house without as much trouble. I’m one of the things that we have a noticed and we were able to get that fixed up and flattened out for them is that I’m in. But in the process you are warming up the, um, the carpet and you also are softening up a little bit to. You’re just, you know, you add more humidity is something that’s dry and it’s going to relax a little bit. I think of the same way. If you’ve got wrinkles and a shirt and you steam it, um, it will help the wrinkles to relax and fall out while in a carpeted area. The, um, uh, it does help to relax the carpet, but the carpet will then as it relax, it then bumps into anything else that’s in the area.
[03:32] So if your carpets are normally stretched, the carpet cleaning is going to make it look good. Now, if your carpets are already wrinkled or loose, then it’s going to exaggerate those wrinkles because now it’s going to relax and those wrinkles are going to look even bigger. The reason the wrinkles are there in the first place is the carpet has relaxed and gotten bigger than the room can handle. And so it’s gone and it’s hit the walls and it hit the spots and the outsides, and it now is going to find the point of least resistance, which is wherever the wrinkle has popped up and in that area, in that spot, it is going to create a hump. Uh, so when you get your carpets first clean for the next 24 hours approximately as that carpet has kind of relaxed and before it starts to stiffen up again, it’s going to, the wrinkles are going to look a little bit more exaggerated and this is because it’s absorbed a little bit of moisture.
[04:16] It is a relaxed a bit and until it stiffens up and tightened it back up, it’s going through now it doesn’t grow and shrink, like older carpet use to carpet stretching Tulsa is and our fiber, if it doesn’t grow and stretch, like it used to, old synthetic everything now is synthetic with the old carpets used to be actually have natural fibers that could either shrink or grow depending on the fiber, just like a cotton t shirt would take a cotton t shirt, you put it in hot water, wash it and then it will shrink. carpet stretching Tulsa And that’s why we now have pre shrunk tee shirts. And so running into that particular, um, scenario have had quite a few times where somebody will have very loose carpet. [05:05] Um, it’s a temporary problem.
