I’m wanted to go over some of the different processes and things that you could do to keep your a vacuum in a, in a good working order because one of the things that you can do that’s important about maintaining the health and wellbeing of that, of your carpet is to make sure that it’s vacuumed on a will on a regular basis. [00:54] You can also see some of our testimonials and about us to see what things we have done in the past. One of the things we’re gonna talk about this time is just maintaining your vacuum. This is something that most people probably intrinsically know that needs to be done, but they just kind of put it off or don’t think about it. I’m actually a lot of newer vacuums in their manuals say that you should be servicing or maintenance in your vacuum every two to three months. carpet stretching Tulsa Now. This service or maintenance doesn’t require you to take it to a shop or do something really big carpet stretching Tulsa has in our fiber and we’ve seen this many times when we go out to get a carpet stretched in a house. I’m seeing that the customer has not been able to yet put, um, bill properly a cleanup and maintenance all of the stuff off of the carpet that is already there.

[01:39] And so one of the things that we will do over there, sometimes it’ll help people to better understand what it does takes to care for a vacuum. Many times when I’m talking with a customer, they don’t know that the, what needs to be done to maintenance the vacuum. Some of these things just, you know, you’re just sold vacuum in a box and nobody ever sits down and walk through the different things that you need to do to make sure that they’re thoroughly cleaned and well taken care of. carpet stretching Tulsa  I’m one of the very simple sides of a vacuum maintenance is that almost all the new canister vacuums, they have a small little cone filter in it that helps to catch hair and wrap that up so it doesn’t get wrapped around the rest of the process and that needs to probably, I would say once a once a week or every few times that you do a vacuum that you just kind of pull it off and throw it out under.

[02:27] The main reason for keeping the debris and stuff out of the vacuum is data. The way the vacuum works is that it brings air in through the suction side and that has to kick the air out somewhere else and so it’s. You can make it as much of a suction as it is a blower because they blower is a sucker at the same time because one, it needed to propel air away from a direction so the air is drawn to that direction. Um, and so you need to keep that whole pathway clear from debris. Uh, sometimes, uh, you’ll be, I’ve seen customers that will come in and their interior, they’ve emptied the basket, but they’ve never cleared off all the hair that’s on the, um, the little interior cone filter. And so that hair will get over there and acts like a blanket covering up the air holes that are going out of that particular vacuum.

[03:13] And so the amount of vacuum you could have a brand new, very expensive superstrong vacuum that can not pick up a cheerio because the, um, the internal little filter is, is covered up or clogged with hair. Um, another part is just what seems to be to me, it seems very normal that some people just miss the very simple part of that. You need to empty or drop out all of the debris in the vacuum. Each time that you use it, the more debris that’s in the spinning around slows down or lessens the airflow through that vacuum. Now you don’t need to do it. You know as you vacuum each room, go and dump it in immediately, but each time you do finish using the vacuum, go ahead and empty that debris. A secondary side is sanitation of if you’re just leaving that vacuum with all of that debris sitting and in the vacuum at all times, everything you’ve sucked out of your carpet is now just sitting in that little canister and it’s a breeding ground for mold and mildew or for other types of things.

[04:08] Anything that’s been sucked up is now sitting rotting in that little thing. So it’s best to take it, empty it, just drop it out, not put it in there because sometimes you then will kick your vacuum on the next time. You kind of get this burst of extra smell as the air goes through all of that debris that’s sitting in that canister. Uh, the next part that’s important is the little a provost air filter. These are filters that are on the either the top of the bottom of the canister that as you take that canister out, they’ll be a little notch there that you can open it. It’ll come out as a big probably two inch foam filter or sometimes there’s little hepa filters and those need to be cleaned on a fairly regular basis. They typically recommend once every two or three months to wash and clean those.

[04:46] Most of them are washable, but some of them are replaceable. Um, and so those need to be replaced because again, you can’t get air coming into the vacuum and less air is going out of the vacuum somewhere. And so those had filters. Once they get full or clogged with dirt or heritage breed that’s got, that’s gotten through the canister and then it will become like again, like a blanket that covers over that stopping the flow of air through their carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. We’ve seen lots of different types of quickly just blitz over. The last category is the bag of vacuums actually have physical Baggie, put another little Hepa bag inside of it, the collect all the dirt and debris and those you do let them get about a third to half full in the new workplace and you don’t want to let it go all the way full because then again, each folder it is the less air can get out of the bag and the, the slower that vacuum will work.

[05:38] Uh, but it is good. The cloth bag that the, um, the paper bag sits inside of, needs to be washed probably once a year or every six months because all of the air that goes out is going through that layer of filtration through that back.
