Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 247

Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 247

[00:00] This is episode 2:47 and we’re going to talk, continue talking a little bit about your entry dirt management. We are complete carpet, Carpet stretching Tulsa is in our fiber. We love to connect with you. Give us a call at nine, one, eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine, three, and we can walk you through some more of these. This information that we can get, I think it’s best to have a customer base that is well informed and understands what it is because honestly, the personal management side, if you’re able to maintain the health and well being of your carpet on your own, you need us, wants dirt, has gotten into your carpet that has gotten sticky or your vacuum no longer pull up and maintain, or if it’s just been long enough that you’re just wanting to get a just general overall cleanliness. It’s the oils, it’s the stickiness.

[00:41] It’s all the things that just don’t vacuum off. The fiber. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998, we’ve seen many times where we’ll come into stretch a carpet that probably could have been saved by a little bit more regular maintenance. Obviously you need to get this stretching done and the cleaning’s done, you know, we’re always there to help you with that, but it’s also good to do the regular routine maintenance of making sure that everything is maintained in the interim between cleanings in between times of repair or stretching needed, or sometimes you could just avoid their stretching and repair completely by just maintaining the carpet and keeping it healthy. One of the big reasons, main things, we started talking about the last episode that I’m going to continue on and this one is that, um, you want to try to keep the dirt from getting into your home to begin with, and a deer, dirt collection devices, your toilet of your house, so to speak, or your wastebasket of your house is your entry mats.

[01:27] And so we talked last time about not having a decorative instrument. Uh, you can have one, but you need to have functional utilitarian one. Also one that’s a little bit more fluffy. So we’re gonna. Talk more about what it would be, what it looks like to have a more utilitarian one, one that’s functional in collecting dirt and not just decorative in and showing off the front of your home. Um, I typically tell people that you want to have a, you know, if you want to have a decorative one, put it on the inside where somebody can come in and look around your home and see something nice, but you want to have an outside one that’s going to be youtube to utilitarian. One is more fluffy. They’re going to have bit longer fibers, a little bit coarser fibers. Something that if you rubbed your feet back and forth with actually cleaned the bottom of your shoe.

[02:07] So many of the people have these mats and they’re the hard flat mats, which if you stomp on it, you go to kind of get some dirt to fall off your feet. But really if you rubbed her feet back and forth, they’re hardened to flatten and they would just rub against this. Carpet stretching Tulsa The knobs at the bottom of your shoe that you really wouldn’t get in and do much to your. Got to the bottom of your to clean the dirt off your shoe because it’s, it’s hard. It’s flat. It’s not, it’s not fluffy. It’s not rag like it’s not going to get in between there. I personally buy a large piece of carpet, just a remnant piece of carpet and then cut it up into small squares and just put those out because as soon as it’s done and it’s gotten full of dirt, I don’t have to try to clean it.

[02:41] I don’t have to do anything with it. I just throw it away. You can find remnant pieces of carpet at carpet stores are at carpet outlet centers where they can sell you a whole five foot by 12 foot roll of carpet for only, you know, 20, 30, 40 bucks or something, you know, very cheap compared to buying a, you know, a 20 to $30 single entry. You can get a whole bunch of them and you just cut up a whole bunch of little squares, you know, of any size that you want to, um, and just have them there at the front. And that way when they get dirty, because eventually they do get dirty, um, instead of having to wash them are clean and you can just throw it away and put another one down. And so for, you know, 20 bucks a year or so, you can have as many entry masses you want to have and keep them clean at all times.

[03:19] Uh, so this, uh, the second part that a lot of people miss is that their instruments need to be cleaned on a very regular basis. Um, you think, well, I mean I haven’t really had that many people coming in and out of my house. They haven’t been coming across, wipe their feet. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998, I have seen many interments that nobody uses. People drive in their garage and um, and they come in the garage side. So they had never walked across the front door entry. Matt hardly ever, unless guest guests come in. And so they think, well, that instrument’s not dirty because I’ve only had three or four, maybe five guests even visit me in the last six months. Well, that entry, that is outside. And so every time the wind blows, every time it rains, every time it’s a snowy, every time the hot sunny, everything that happens throughout that house or everything that happens throughout that day.

[04:03] I’ve had people who have a birds that like to kind of sit at the front, a front porch or front area, and so all of the stuff that happens throughout all of the weather that happens and if you went out and you took a damp rag and wiped down your your walk path or you want wipe down the curb, you walk, walk down, wipe down your entry area, it’s going to have dirt, is going to have a lot of dirt, debris on it because it’s outside. It’s an exterior space. And so your entry, Matt is going to collect all that same exterior space. Dirt. I’m on the same regular basis that the, you know, the front of your house or your driveway or you know the street. I mean all these different areas. If you took, if you took a damper, I went out there and wiped all those down.

[04:42] Is going to become a dirty rag. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this so many times where I actually will try to do a quick little clean over the rug, sometimes on the as I’m coming in and out of the house, but they will build up the dirt by nobody walking them it all out just because they’re outside exposed to the elements and they’ve collected dirt that way. And so in a case like that, if you’ve had just a really dusty dirty day and there’s just or if you’re outside, you know, we’ve had this time where outside mowing and grasses just blowing everywhere, um, and it gets onto that mat. Now the next person that comes up, absolutely perfectly clean feet, but they walk up and they stand on your dirty entry rug and they will actually pick up dirt off of your entry, Matt and bring it into your home.

[05:21] I’ve seen this so many times, Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this so many times where somebody has an entry Mendez dirtier than the rest of their home and people are actually picking up dirt onto their feet by walking across their entry. Matt and and this is where it gets really bad this time that you either really need a power hose, just grab a hose and really thoroughly rinse that out, vacuum it out, or just replace it if it gets to that level of dirt that somebody could get their feet dirty but walking in. But this is why it’s important that you make sure that you maintain it’s the same as your trash in your kitchen or in your, um, any of your other spaces that if you let that trash buildup to the point, it’s falling out of the trash bag than anybody that walks by. It goes by that waistband. It’s actually gonna. End Up stepping in trash. The trash is no longer in, contained inside of the container that needs to be at his now fall outside. The container is causing a mess everywhere. Carpet stretching Tulsa and our fiber. We are complete carpet. Give us a call at nine. One eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero nine, three or other.
