I’m probably one of the main concerns, one of the core issues that almost every complaint that we hear about from customers related to other service professionals or other service professions is that, um, the service professional or the company did not to do what they said they were going to do. Either they show up and they don’t do all of the work that they claimed they were, they were there to do or they tell them that it would be one price and when they’re finished it’s another price. They don’t keep her honor the price that they had told them that it was another thing that is, that they will tell them, they’ll be there at a certain time and then either they never show up or they call after the time to tell them that they have to give them a different time because they’re, they’re not being timely themselves.
[01:40] And so these are all. I mean, we can go over each, we will go over each one of those in future podcasts. But right now I wanted to address the core issue. The reason that all of those things are an issue and a problem is that people in general are not doing what they said they’re going to do because either they’re not keeping good schedules, they’re not keeping good management. The, uh, they’re hiring people who are just not there. They don’t care as much. And so I think one of the main thing that any business should do is that they need to do what it is that they say they’re going to do. So we try to always give people specific time frames about when we’re going to show up and tell you, hey, if we’re going to be there at 11, we’ll try and be there at 11 and if for whatever reason we’re going to be running behind, we make sure that we always call at least a half an hour ahead of time to let you know, hey, here’s what’s going on, here’s what it will be there.
[02:32] Uh, and lead that way you can plan your day accordingly and you’re not stuck waiting around for someone to show up. That’s one thing that frustrates me more than anything is having a service professional who said it gives me a long time, a window to get something done and I sit around waiting all day for them to show up to do the work. Um, you know, they make me take half my day up just so that I am always perpetually available because they lack the ability to schedule out their day in an efficient manner to where they could show up on time. They’re just perpetually late so they instead have become more tightly. They just make the window of time. This supposed to show up long enough that if they’re late, it doesn’t matter. And when he’s looking over the reasons for why the cost was more, um, they had extras in there, like an extra charge to go up the staircase to his second floor apartment and extra charge to clean around his leather couch because they didn’t.
[05:40] It was going to be more difficult to clean the carpets and they had to be careful not to scratch the leather, an additional charge to clean the spots in the carpets, which just blew his mind because he thought that the carpet cleaning should clean the spots. It shouldn’t be an additional charge on top of the carpet cleaning to clean the carpet. And so I’ve heard this many times where people will be quoted one price and at the end they’re surprised with the other ones. And we always honor our price. We will tell you upfront exactly what it, how much it costs to get something done. And we will not add anything to that list unless you specifically ask us to do more service than or additional service. Something new and different that you ask us to do are not going to pad that price rocket to change it at the end of the day.
