[00:48] A entry mats are a for, for practical terms and [inaudible] are your wastebaskets for your home or for your floors there, your floors, wastebasket, and you have to remember one thing that’s important with this, we’ll go over three different things, but the first thing that’s important is that, um, your entry mats to need to be able to be kept clean. Otherwise they will eventually get full of dirt and that dirt will then transfer to people. So someone may come in and try to use your entry magically and their foot off with, but instead they’ll end up picking up dirt because the Entry Matt is so full, it is so dirty already, kind of like our grandparents used to do where they would go in there and take the rugs and hang them over and beat them out just to knock all the dirt and debris out of the car, out of the rugs.
[01:33] We need to put a regular maintenance schedule ourselves. A lot of newer rugs is fully synthetic, so you could just lay them on your driveway and just kind of power Washington with a garden hose to rinse all the dirt out. Um, one thing to remember, carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this so many times that somebody will rent a rug out, but they will hang it over a fence or they’ll hang it over a chair or something like that to dry and now it will. Dry Fabric remembers that shape while it dries, it’ll dry in a bent shape, so you’ll try to lay it back flat and it just will never lay flat. It’s all wavy and crinkly. So make sure that when you rent out a rug that you leave it to the side and let it dry flat. You also can use this trick, this tip to build a flattened down, curled corners on larger rugs.
[02:16] Sometimes the corners will curl. If you take the corner, get it lightly wet, put something heavy over it to lay it flat while it dries it, you can get it to lay flat again and not be curled up. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. We have seen many times where people will have extremely decorative enter mats. They’ve forgotten, they’ve forgotten that they’ve. We’ve gotten to the point where we made our entry mass more of a decorative picture as, as somebody enters your house and the problem is they ran a study and they found that the majority of people will not step on a, on a decorative entry. Matt, most of them will stand before it ring the doorbell and then step over it to get inside because they don’t want to mess up the decorative instrument and they just mess up that decorative instrument. They feel like they’re kind of a, you know, spilling spaghetti or something on a pretty painting.
[03:03] They don’t want to go through and you know, mess up the things that you have. So what they’ll do is they’ll just avoid it or kind of go over it. Also, the secondary thing is a lot of the entry mats are stiff, flatten hard. And so even if someone tried to rub their feet off on that into your mat, they’re not going to get very far because it’s, there’s no way for it to rub or to brush the dirt off from the pruning the treads of your shoes. Carpet stretching Tulsa is 1998. I’ve seen this many times where people either don’t have an instrument at all or the type of instrument they have, um, does not facilitate removing dirt off someone’s shoe. So what’d you want to be looking for is something that is very fluffy, has a good ability to rub out the dirt that’s in your shoes so you can get that off of their foot before they come into the house.
[03:47] The other problem that we’ve seen is that people will put entry mats, not at all of the places they need to be. And so our recommendation for putting your intro math is at one, at the front door, one at the back door of the garage. Typically there are three areas that we’ll, um, dirt will enter into your home from a because people will either be coming from outside of the front yard, coming inside from the backyard or be getting out of their car and walk into the garage and all three of those areas. It’s best to have a nice fresh, clean intro so that people are not picking up dirt at your entry areas and walking in. The other thing that most people do not think about is the fact that your Internet is out exposed to the weather at all times, whether it be front porch or back porch.
[04:31] Every time it rains, every time the wind blows, every time aside, and every time a bird or squirrel goes into somewhere, it’s all going to get onto that mat. It’s going to get caught onto there. Carpet stretching Tulsa And so if you’re not renting that out on a regular basis, even if you don’t have people coming in, scuffing their feet on it to dump a bunch of dirt into it, it’s going to accumulate dirt just for the fact that it is, um, uh, outside, in the elements collecting just your regular wear patterns and weather. Another thing that will help too with an intro, Matt, is to give it a size that’s big enough that people can’t just natural gait, step over it. The same study that was said that most people walk over decade of mats also said that most people only stepped one foot on a map because they are walking and stuff.
[05:11] You’ll walk forward and you’ll have a two foot mat your first, but hits inside the mat. The second footsteps over the map. So if you have a three by four rug, you then have to walk with your steps, have to have one. Both of your feet will hit the mat in some form or fashion. Because unless you jump, you can’t really cross a three foot span in your single gate. And so having a fluffy rug, but you clean every three to six months, that’s four, three to four feet in size and have one at the front door and the backdoor one in the entry coming into the garage. I’m also anywhere that you look around the house and you see that the carpet has started to get a little dirty, put an injury map before that area to be able to pick up some of the dirt that is traveling off of the surfaces into that carpet area.
