Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 273

[00:00] This is episode 73, and this time we’re going to be talking about the inherent dirt associated with having pets in your house. We are complete carpets, Carpet Stretching Tulsa since 1998. We love to connect with you and see what it is that we can do for you or whether how we might be able to help you to maintain the health and wellbeing of your carpet, Carpet Stretching Tulsa that are fiber and we have many different offerings and products that we can do for you to be able to, uh, get your carpets cleaned and looking like new again, everything that you need to do to maintain your house and maintain your carpet and your flooring surfaces after your carpet had been installed. We can do for you. Uh, one thing that, uh, I think a lot of customers don’t realize or don’t understand that have pets is that, um, when you have pets, your flooring, your carpets are your pets bed, um, throughout the entire lifecycle of, of your pet and over your carpet.

[00:56] And so one of the things that a lot of customers will notice that when we come in to clean, especially with customers with pets, is that all the carpet looks about the same and it’s all quite dirty and it may not be really dirty, it’s just that, um, as opposed to if you just had kids to get kids in an area, then you get a lot of drinks, bills, you get a lot of fingerprints, so you have a lot of circular bad looking spots throughout the house in different places. And, and, uh, going through out if you have pets, unless they pee on the carpet, then, um, you don’t have big spots, a specific circles. All of the carpet just generally turns gray or kind of a yellowish overtime. And probably the easiest way to visualize this is that if you went and you took, had some white sheets on your bed and you went and slept in your bed for a month straight, um, your sheets are eventually going to be kind of a yellow yellowish color.

[01:50] And the reason they become a yellowish color is because I’m the oils in your body. Will build up on the surface of the, of the sheets and your, your skin cells professionally shedding and your oil stays for your skin, stays perpetually oily so that you’re so you don’t get really dry and cracked skin. Um, if you do lose all of the oil on your skin, your knuckles are starting to crack and you start to get splits and your lips. This is not a good thing. You want to be able to. You want your skin to be oily. You wanted to have a certain suppleness to it. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. Uh, we given us 20 years of experience and see that pets are exactly the same way. If you have a pet that is having problems and it’s code is to dry, it gets really brittle and wineries and so you want to be healthy and good for the.

[02:42] Some people give their pets raw eggs and all kinds of different supplements and oils to try to help them stay healthy and shiny and to have a healthy shiny coat on a dog or a cat means that data is properly oiled. That oily coat will then wherever they go, wherever the on the body fall off of the pet, wherever they transfer to, inset on that all gets a light layer of oil on it. Now, not something big intangibly tangibly to where it feels greasy, but it’s just enough to make the fiber. The carpet fibers, I’m a little bit sticky, just enough to dust gets on it. It’s going to stick a little bit to that oil on the fiber and not just backing straight off Carpet Stretching Tulsa since 1998. Probably the easiest way you normally can tell this is when you walk into a house and you can smell dog or you can smell.

[03:28] Cat typically smell that. It’s because the body oils from the pet is laid or rubbed on it or the hair has gotten to all the different areas of the house and each time you step on it, you walk it into the carpet, kind of work it down in there. Um, uh, you notice this easily. If you look at a dog where it’s favorite place to lay your sleep is, and that area typically will flatten down. It will lay or kind of mat down. Now the carpet itself probably is okay. It just has accumulated a lot of oils from that pets laying there. And so all the carpet fibers are all sticking to each other and that’s why it kind of maps down or lays down in that area. Once you go to clean it and we use a little bit of a kind of a degreaser to kind of cut those oils in the, uh, in the car out of the carpet, then all the carpet will fluff back up quite a bit because now the carpet fibers themselves are not sticking to themselves because of the oils from the pets.

[04:18] It is now fluffy and they’ve released and they’re no longer mad at down and so on. Generally it depends on how many pets you have. Carpet Stretching Tulsa since 1998. What we see is that the, the pets typically need to be, uh, the carpets need to be cleaned when you have pets every six months or so now you can be a very clean person. You haven’t, you haven’t done anything to get the carpet’s dirty, but it started to accumulate a certain amount of oils from just having pets in the house. And uh, most of the time we can see this because all of the areas of the carpet, even places you wouldn’t normally walk or getting would be dirty or they’re starting to look gray and it because it’s the hair from the pat who just kind of gotten over everything over the main areas of the carpets and is now collected a layer of oil.

[05:03] Now whenever the air kicks on in the house, it the dusted that’s naturally in the house, you know that builds up on your picture frames or on your countertops or on end tables, stuff like that. All that dust falls down to the carpet and when you go to vacuum your vacuum can’t pull it off of the carpet because it’s sticking to the oils that are in the carpet from the pets or sometimes the pets. Oil itself will kind of make a carpet look. A little gray are dingy and so it can see huge transformational differences. When we go to clean houses with pets, even though the people are very clean themselves, the carpets or just a bed for the pet, and so after a certain amount of time, just like you would change your sheets and wash your sheets every certain amount of whatever your interval of time is that you wash your sheets.

[05:45] The carpets should be cleaned and washed in that same type of format because the pet’s bed is your carpets is your flooring, and so we want to be able to be that partner for you to help you keep that health, maintain that health and wellbeing of your carpets.
