Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 298

01 This is episode 298. We will be talking about pet spots and what they can do when it’s facing, when to treats, carpet pull systems. Nineteen 98. We are competing. I love to do and give us a call at nine. One eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero nine three. It can help with any carpet or tile or upholstery needs or questions that you may have. A. We’ve been Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. We are complete carpet, Carpet stretching Tulsa is cyber A. Check out some of the other services that we offer, like upholstery cleaning, tile cleaning. You can clean the carpets, we can stretch your carpets. We can prepare that threshold’s pretty much anything after your card. It’s been installed. We can do to help to maintain the health and wellbeing of your carpet they were going to be talking about, um, uh, when it’s time to replace and when it’s time to treat for pets.

51 I run into this all the time and it really, there’s a bit of subjectivity to whether you’re going to try to clean and just treat for the pet bots or whether you’re going to switch over and ended up with full replacement. Um, I’ll go over some of the different options that are available for you here in this podcast and reasonings behind why you would choose one option over another Carpet stretching Tulsa. Since 1998. One of the things that we’ve seen over and over is that, um, that pets like to use carpet as their p a place they typically won’t be on the wood and the tile nearly as much as they will the carpet. I’m guessing that the carpet feels somewhat like grass and they just, uh, make it feels more homey or more regular. Uh, from what I understand is that pets pick an area to pen and they kind of market and that smells to them like a bathroom.

41 We are visual. We typically see a porcelain throne and that is the place that we want to go to use the restroom. Whereas the dogs are more scent based. And so they will smell a place that they established as their bathrooms, so you want to make sure that you’ve taken the time to make sure you properly potty trained your pet, but for those that have accidents or pets who are learning to be potty trained or maybe as just a container, a pad that you never were able to get potty trained, this podcast is for you to help you give some different tips and ideas on how to address those situations. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. The first thing that I always go to look at is what is the focus? What is the role is the pet that is making the objectable odors is still able to get in and keep paying on a place that there’s no reason in my personal opinion, to try to go too far and treating an area if it’s potentially going to get peed on again and the next day, day or week or month.

35 So if there’s an ongoing issue, then you’re just. You should just maintenance, get in there, do a good, thorough deep cleaning. And then as happened, use a towel to try to soak them up, use them enzymes just over the counter, like you’re in destroyer for matress miracle to Kinda just to eliminate and remove some of those spots that are already in there. And as you work through that, you’re just looking to try to lessen or reduce the quantity of urine smell as it builds up. Eventually you’ll hit a critical threshold where there’s just so much urine in the carpet and the padding that you eventually do after replace it. But up until that point, you’re just trying to use the, uh, the, uh, get the most life out of the carpet as you can. Now sometimes you have just a one off experience, a dog or a cat or a get sick or they, you have to watch someone else’s pet for a weekend and don’t realize they’re not housebroken or they just aren’t used to being in your home.

28 Is lead piano corner a bunch. We can pull that cornerback, treat the backing and removed the padding and treat the carpet. Or maybe the offending pet is no longer pain in the house or you don’t have the pet anymore that have quite a few times where somebody will get a pet, will have it for six months, they cannot control it, how much it’s been everywhere. So they eventually switch and decided not to have that pet or switch to a different pet. And so during that process they no longer have the pet that is making the offensive odors and so they can just treat the carpet and we can get in there and treat the carpet and then fix it up. Carpet stretching Tulsa And then your third category you get your first category is just maintenance, helping to try to reduce the amount because there’s gonna be a consistent problem and so you’re just going to have to consistently clean it to try to reduce the amount of smell.

12 The second one is the problem is gone and it’s a small area and they get treated. Replace some padding or treat them back in the carpet, whatever it takes to try to get rid of the odor and then put it back together. And the third one, Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998 is when you have an area that upended either actively on and it’s hit a critical mass or they used to be actively on and now you’re trying to remove the odor at our general rule of thumb is if there’s more than 40 percent of the carpeted area has urine spots on it, it is better to replace at that point because you’re going to have to replace the pattern. You’re out of the Labor of doing the work and then you’re going to have the cost for the chemical, the enzymes and the uh, solutions to be able to get in there and get all of that odor, all that urine out of the vacuum the carpet.

57 And if you’re gonna spend that much money into it and you hit the 40 to 50 percent mark of what it would cost to just replace the carpet. It sometimes is a better choice to just replace the carpet now. But just if it’s a massive room and there’s just one corner, well then it’s better to invest the money in the treatment to remove it. If it’s a smaller room and it’s 40 or 50 percent of the room, then it makes more sense to replace the carpet to get rid of that odor source so that it’s not just, um, so it doesn’t become cost ineffective to treat it. And then if it is more effective to just put new in there now, it never makes sense to put new carpet in. If you still have a pet that’s going to continue to make the smells because even your new carpets just gonna immediately get peed on again.

38 So, uh, we are complete carpet, Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. And we’d love to connect with you and let you know what we can do for you.
