01 This is episode 299. We’re going to talk today about, um, what’s the best ways to vacuum your carpet? Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. We are complete carpet. Give us a call today at nine. One eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine. Three carpet stretching. Tulsa in our fiber. We’d love to connect with you. Tell you about all of the other options that we do for you or there would be stretching them. Patching, carpet cleaning, repair, tile cleaning, upholstery, cleaning. We didn’t get all of your service and maintenance needs for your household. Taking care of. Uh, one of the things that’s important, I think is when you’re dealing with vacuums is in what way? And how often do you vacuum? I get asked this question. I’m a very regular basis. Carpet stretching Tulsa. Since 1998. I’ve had an opportunity to see many different thoughts, processes, patterns, and then see which ones are the most effective as we go throughout.

57 Um, I personally, my personal recommendation for vacuuming is that you should at a minimum do the first five to 10 feet from your dirt access points. Access points is something you need to establish for every house. Uh, typically your most average ones are your ones coming in out of the garage. If you’re driving into the garage and get out of your car and come into the garage area or your front door. If you have guests that come in that direction or you in the driveway in your backdoor. If you’ve got kids and pets you play outside who come in through the back door or off of your kitchen or your food preparation areas where you could have a source of dirt there and you might spill Cheerios, step on them and walk them into place. So whatever your source of dirt that’s going to come in, or a place that emanates from like around a kitchen table that if it’s on carpet in front of the couch, if you eat popcorn in front of your couch, you might have a desk around the desk, well some days.

54 So anywhere that you have that, you sit in these spending quantities of time there. That is a place that you want to put on your list as a dirt source area. Think of it like a wastebasket, your carpet or your rugs are the wastebasket of your house to catch her and the traffic, keep it from spreading throughout your house, but if those areas start to get full and there was a lot of dirt, grime, and grit in those areas, then as you step on them, you’ll pick up there and move it farther in. That’s why the first five to 10 feet into carpet starts to be dirty and then it slowly gets less dirty and then tell that dairy gets very dirty. Then the next five to 10 feet gets starts to transfer. It starts to extend itself into the rest of the, um, areas that you are trying to keep clean Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998.

38 I recommend doing like a five minute vacuuming every other day where you just hit those high a dirt areas. Let’s say you’ve got your entry coming off of the front door. You’ve got your kitchen coming into the living room and you’ve got your garage that comes into a hallway that goes to the other rep. so hit those three areas, hit the first five to 10 feet of it, suck up whatever written, written dirt got in there. A lot of people say, well, I need to, you know, I don’t like having to vacuum the carpet so often it’s hard on the carpets, the beat brushed the back, you mean the rolling, but dust is your universal sandpaper. And so the dust and dirt that’s left in the carpet is much harder on the carpet. Then the brushes of the vacuum sucking the dirt out. Uh, now the, uh, if you have hard surfaces and we’d had an all pile are all hard surface area knows that you can’t go a week without doing any type of sweeping or vacuuming. Honestly, my wife, uh, Swedes vacuums probably once or twice a day because there’s just written grime that slowly gets accumulated in your, on your floor and services and carpet services typically don’t get taken care of, like in the same frequency that hard surfaces do because you don’t notice as much. There’s more fluff there to capture and hide grit and grime and dirt.

59 Now as far as your full vacuuming, probably once a week or every other week where you just go through and do all of your walk paths or throughout all your areas and then your spring cleaning, like vacuuming needs to be done every three to six months where you actually move pieces of furniture are you kind of get under little things and just kind of do your thorough check everywhere type of vacuuming. If you have pets you need to vacuum on a much more frequent basis. You’re all in your carpeted areas because their hair gets everywhere. That hair is. It sits on the carpet transfer is a bit of oil to the carpet. Now the carpet will can start to collect dust and stick to it because it can’t leave the carpet since it has a layer of oil holding it in place. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. It’s good to try to make sure that you adjust your vacuuming scheduled based upon what is going on in your home.

48 Also have it’s been very rainy and everybody’s just staying inside into the go outside at all. You might not need to vacuum quite as often, it’s really sunny or you have pets that go outside insight on a frequent basis. Then you might need a vacuum on a more frequent basis, or if you are planning to have a party, it would be good to vacuum before your party and one of the big reasons that you want to do this is one, you want to have a good presentation to your people that are coming to check out your, um, uh, a house so that you can give them a good showing. Carpet stretching Tulsa But the other side is also whatever grit and grime and dust is in that carpet before you have a 10, 20, 30 people come over, they are going to walk it in more as they come in and they start walking around your house.

33 You’re gonna have a lot of extra foot traffic. You want to make sure that that carpet is as clean as possible so that foot traffic does not just grind or wear out your carpet fast. A carpet that has dirt, dust in it, harbors stretching pulses is 1998. I’ve seen this so many times is like taking your hands and rubbing them back together, but then covering them with sand or salt, you’ll be able to. You could rub your hands together for quite a while back and forth, but if you put sand or salt on there, you’re going to rub them back and forth just for a short amount of time and it’s just going to tear up the skin on your hands because that grit and that grind, that Darius is a sharper and stronger than the skin on your hands and your carpets of the same way.

11 The fibers of the carpet are actually fairly soft nylon fibers. You put gritty, hard, gritty stuff in there. He sent me step on it. It’s like sandpaper. It just choose those fibers up so it’s important I believe, to make sure that you are always pulling out any extra dirt out of that carpet before you have a large party. Carpet stretching Tulsa.
