We’d love for you to give us a call today at nine. One, eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine, three. One of the things that’s important about maintaining the health and wellbeing of your carpet is a proper care of your carpet. Um, and a lot of times people don’t understand what needs to be done to maintenance their carpet. What is the overall picture? So it wanted to go over the main things you need to do to go to maintain the health and wellbeing of your carpet, carpet stretching tulsa and our fiber. We’ve also expanded to serve other areas besides just the restriction of your carpet. Also for patching, carpet cleaning, and tile cleaning, upholstery cleaning.
Speaker 1: 00:48 We can pretty much take care of all of your soft and hard surface needs. A, today we’re going to be talking about here in episode one, 3:14, about how the different avenues that you need to do so after you bought your carpet is going to be some routine maintenance. You’ve got brand new carpet in your home. What do you do to take care of it now? If you never walk on your carpet, never used the carpet, it could stay as storage or it will be just fine for a really almost a, as long as you want to have the carpet 10, 15, 20 years. And it still looked like almost brand new carpet. Carpet will stiffen over time as the glues and the mcing become less supple and they become a little bit more rigid. Carpet stretching tulsa the better the quality of carpet, the more glue they use in the back end, the less less quality of carpet, the less glue they use.
Speaker 1: 01:38 They’re not using more glue or less because they’re trying to save money or spend money. Uh, the more fiber that is in a carpet, more spots that need to be glued, the more spot that can be absorbed. Glue. So if you have a very thin carpet, then there’s not much for the glue to stick to. There’s just the backing, the netting and the glue that goes over holding the fibers in. If there’s just, you know, let’s just say there’s 100 fibers, then there’ll be 100 points that blue could absorb into. Now you’ve got an area that says 20 ounce carpet with 100 fibers and say there’s 50 ounce carpet and has got $255 or can I have 250 points of access for that glue to stick to as others are going to have to necessarily there’ll be more glue because there’s more fibers for the glue to stick to carpet stretching Tulsa
Speaker 1: 02:23 since 1998, we’re talking about what to do once you’ve got your carpet to get in place. And so a big part of that glue that city and out of the vacuum, the less blue there is, the less stiff the carpet is going to be and the more susceptible it is to wrinkling. The thicker the depth of the carpet is, the more rigid it will be in, the longer it will stay in shape. As the carpet relaxes, it will start to have excess carpet you want to stretch it in, you put it in and make it tight like a trampoline, but at some point if that trampoline effect to get absorbed, if it gets grows bigger than that extra little bit of stretches, then it will then start taking a wrinkled. You want to stretch that wrinkle right out as soon as you see them, because the wrinkled creates movement carpet stretching Tulsa.
Speaker 1: 03:04 Movement creates friction, friction and create break down of the backing of the carpet and this. This will wear out the carpet and much faster than if it’s tightened flat and commercial areas to actually glue glue the carpet directly to the floor just so that the carpet can’t move at all. That way you can get thousands of people to walk across the carpet without wearing it out right away. Whereas in your home, the padding creates a little bit of movement and so it actually will not last as long as if you glued it straight to the floor. It’s also you lose a huge amount of comfort. So that’s why we put padding under it. We enjoy the carpet. Better carpet stretching tulsa us is 1998. We are complete carpet and we’re going to continue on the next part, getting the carpet type flat, but then fixing, repairing damages.
Speaker 1: 03:48 That happened. Um, another good example is if you’ve had to pull a room up a quarter up because of a, a, a water leak or maybe you buried a cable underneath the padding or if you’ve got a dog that kind of dug into the corner and he pulled the carpet up anytime the stretch and the carpet gets broken, now the carpet is loose and every time you walk on it it moves. Or if the carpet is not tight against a transition that every time you step on it, it’s moving up and down on that transition and the little tack strips underneath or just shredding the edge of the carpet and the carpet tightened flat and also tucked in place. Helps tremendously to extend the life of the carpet so the carpet is not moving up and down on the tack strips, chewing itself apart. carpet stretching tulsa in 1998.
Speaker 1: 04:34 Another thing that a lot of people miss is just regular vacuuming. You can even go take the backing me into a higher level of saying, just don’t let gritty so before you vacuum, let’s stop the grit and the grime from getting in, so let’s have good entry math and exit mats, your entry points and not allow food and on here carpeted areas. If you do have food in there, have a bowl, a plate, a dinner plate, maybe a towel, something that food is on so that if anything does fall off, it falls off on something that’s collected and instead of falling down into the carpet, a lot of other things that can definitely damages, uh, having a sandbox in the backyard, having dogs or pets that go and dig outside and they come in and they knock all that dust and dirt off into the carpet because dust and dirt is universal sandpaper because to make sandpaper, they take sand, they put it on a paper and they kind of glue it in place.
Speaker 1: 05:27 And then that rough rid of that sand can just chew through almost anything you could rub sand against a painted surface and take the paint straight off of it. So if you can imagine that dust and that dirt, that sand, doing all of that damage to a painted piece of furniture that imagine what it’s doing to your carpet every time you step on it with your feet. So you want to try to, one, don’t let the dust and dirt get into the carpet, but number two, a, vacuum it out as, as often as you can to make sure that it doesn’t stay the carpet. If it does get there. carpet stretching tulsa since 1998. We are complete carpet. Uh, want to encourage you to give us a call today at nine. One, eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine. Three. And see what we have a that we could do for you. carpet stretching tulsa and our fiber. We are complete carpet.
