Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 316

[00:00] This is episode three slash 16, and we’re going to be talking this time about what it takes to care for your carpet. Um, and uh, what we can do for you. We’ve talked in the last couple of episodes about what you could do for yourself. Take care of the carpet and regular basis. Carpet stretching Tulsa is 1998. We’d love you to give us a call at nine, one eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine three, and we can answer any questions you have or get you on the schedule. Uh, one of the things that’s important in your maintenance needs and we’ll briefly cover the maintenance or idea that we had gone over in the past, but one of the things that’s important is to also, um, have a professional service committing and clean their carpets. Once you’ve gotten a buildup of stickiness or oiliness, that will hinder you from being able to adjust and vacuum or remove stuff off.

[00:49] Now, before we get to our, what we could do for you, I want to do, do, want to touch one more last area that I think is important. Carpet stretching tulsa of 1998. I’ve seen this many times. I’m the do’s and don’ts on how to clean your carpet yourself. Sometimes I’ve seen customers who we will do a good job of maintaining dirt sources. They’ll do a good job of putting down entry mats. They’ll do a good job of protecting the areas. They get the high traffic, do a good job of vacuuming when needed. They’ll be do a good job of just not letting dirt get into certain areas. But then they miss it when they try to clean the carpets themselves. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this many times where the customer will have a, um, something that they’re trying to get out of the carpet, whatever the item is and they will just pretty much throw the kitchen sink.

[01:43] They’re, you know, they’re very conservative all of the areas of their lives. But then they get to cleaning the carpets and they just throw the kitchen sink. Got It. They will bring out hot water and poured over the spot. They will rent to rug doctor and just set the wrong doctor in one spot. Just perpetuate cleaning one spot. Uh, they will do they use the wrong chemicals for carpet. They’ll use a 409 or kitchen cleaner that has bleach in it and it bleaching the carpet out. They will actually use bleach trying to get a red spot out, which any spot in carpet don’t use bleach because if you bleach will bring the color of everything now that will remove the amount of color that everything has. Have you got a red spot on brown carpet? You now will have a light pinks but spot on tan carpet because it’s going to pull the brown out along with the read it. Carpet Stretching Tulsa.

[02:32] It doesn’t just pull read. Also the existing color, you will pull the existing color also. And so the contrast between the two color stays the same. And so the spot really doesn’t end up looking at a different as you stands out because now it’s got a white halo around the brown spot or white halo around the red spot. The red spot may not be as noticeable. It may now be like pink, but it really stands out because now it’s not light pink on brown carpet is light pink on white carpet because all the brown came also or at worst case scenario, the bleach just keeps working and then you end up being just a white spot completely in the middle of the brown carpet.

[03:09] Whatever the product is that you want to use, make sure that you use it sparingly as mild as you can, whatever the cleaning method that you want to use, make sure that you’re using the least amount of water that you can so that the carpet can dry or that you get in to suck out as much as you can. Carpet Stretching Tulsa. The home units, like they have rug doctor one at. They’re designed to move at a certain speed and to make multiple passes. A lot of people use them really slowly and try to just let it sit there and clean over an area. A spot bought. You can just set over and let it clean in that one area because it’s designed to just be over one area. Just keep kind of scrubbing every other cleaning sources designed to be moved across the carpet as it claims have you stopped at one place, there’ll be dumping water that is not sucking up. Carpet Stretching Tulsa.

[03:56] It’s designed to suck up the water as it puts it down to need motion at all times. Proper stretching Tulsa since 1998. I’ve seen this many, many times where a customer has flooded in area and got all the way down to the pad and the concrete wet because they used to have a rug doctor and they used it too slowly that it moved across the carpet quick enough to be able to extract back out the water or they just kept the trigger down the whole time as they’re going backwards and forwards so that as they go forward, they’re leaving water down that they haven’t fucked up and as to come back. They’re trying to suck up twice as much water as the unit is capable of. Suck it up. So I always recommend to everybody, no matter what unit you’re using to do one clean pass, only pulled the trigger as you come down, and then due to dry extraction passes to suck up all of the moisture, otherwise you’d just build it up moisture. Carpet Stretching Tulsa.

[04:42] Eventually the carpet gets overly saturated and then the back end and the padding get wet and then it stays wet for 24 hours and then it starts to sour and it smells bad, especially on pet spots on the. Always wanted to make sure you’re using some type of disaffected in your water. That’s made for carpets, bands a good product so that the carpet doesn’t sour and smell because with pet spots as opposed to other spots that you’re renting out. Pet spots. Once you add moisture to it, it becomes like a scratch and sniff and it’s going to. You’re reactivating that pet urine so that it. Then we’ll start to really smell and stink again. Carpet stretching Tulsa. Since 1998, we are complete carpet. I’m recovering this time about how you can yourself clean their carpets. A the. In a quick nutshell, I cover all the basics and the next episode, but in this particular episode was to do a quick review, make sure that you are staying on top of your cleaning sources, so don’t.

[05:39] I’m over clean it. Always try to rinse with water first and spray the water. Don’t pour the water so that it doesn’t flood the area and that it just gets it damp so you can suck it out because you’re wanting to reconstitute whatever’s on your carpet that you can rent out as much as you can and before you use any product, use hotter water you’ve got and try to rinse out what’s already there because sometimes you can remove most of the stuff before you ever need to put any so or a detergent done in their carbon stretching Tulsa. Since 1998, we are complete carpet. So give us a call today at nine. One, eight, four, nine, four, seven, zero, nine, three carpet stretching Tulsa is in our fiber. We are complete carpet.
