Carpet Stretching Tulsa | Episode 317

[00:01] This is episode three slash 17. We’re going to talk about a continuing onto the topic of maintaining the health and maintenance of your carpet with cleaning and with good practices for being able to take care of your carpet. Carpet stretching Tulsa. Since 1998. We are complete carpet or one of the things is important. I will recap some of the things that you could do yourself before we get into what we can do for you on the professional side. Um, one of the things that we’ve covered is that I’m just go through and maintain your dirt sources as in short, this is a rugs and just dirt management. You, uh, the rugs designed the rugs purposes that it can allow you to wipe off your shoe to knock off the dirt before it ever gets into your home or to capture it. So think of the rugs like a wastebasket for your home.

[00:50] Um, one thing that we didn’t mention before, but it definitely needs to be mentioned is that rugs will eventually accumulate dirt enough dirt that you need to clean them. And if their exterior rugs and they are just always dirty because they’re outside, every time the wind blows, every time the sun shines, every time it rains, then new dirt and debris and dust is getting all those rugs, even if nobody walks on them. So someone’s going to come into your home, walk across your exterior rug and actually get their shoes dirty coming into the, um, into the house as opposed to being able to clean it off because they’ll rub their feet on that mat, which has a lot of grime and dust and debris on it. And they’re now picking up dust and debris on all their, their shoe instead of wiping it off. See this the most odd a garage where they are having a, all of that engine, dirt and road grime that’s in the garage because people park their cars after driving on the road.

[01:46] They just bring them in without cleaning them. And so that all that written rhymes there and Matt in the garage can almost turn black sometimes and people will come across and wiping their feet on a black rug and then bringing their dirty shoes into the house. A carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. One of the things that’s important also is that you limit the sources of dirt. So if you’re going to eat and make sure it’s in a hard surface area, if you do eat into a soft surface areas and make sure that you are giving some type of container for the, for the food, uh, some like a dinner plate or a over a mat or an entry area or something that will be able to capture any missed food where is aware and attentive as we want to be. There’s always, sometimes there’s some point where you have something to just falls off because of a, nobody notices or, uh, something that gets bumped.

[02:38] Somebody else doesn’t see what you’re doing. And you know, you end up with material on the floor. Make sure that whatever does fall down and get extracted back or picked up quickly so that it does not end up getting walked in or ground into the carpet. Over time, this becomes extremely abrasive and aggressive to your carpets. Carpet Stretching Tulsa since 1998. We also talked about the importance of keeping your carpets flat. This is something you would have to call us to do, but it is something you want to keep an eye on yourself or if you’ve ever had any work done where they’ve had to pull the carpet back or pull it up for some reason to make sure that you get it read tucked back in. Again. It’s something that we can do for you. The oldest stretch that carpet back into place because every time that carpet stays loose, every time you step on it, it goes up and down against the spikes on, with extra and it just chews it up or wears out that, that carpet, uh, quickly.

[03:28] Uh, one thing that’s important also is to build a vacuum on a regular basis to suck out any sand and dust and dirt. Even if you don’t live in your house at all, um, it’s still going to get dusty. They’ll still be dust that comes down and gets on the carpet. Um, and that dust it gets down to the carpet, needs to be back in, back out a wood. It’s vacuumed. The carpet is smooth and soft again, can rub against itself and it doesn’t wear out prematurely. Carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. One other point that we brought up was do we make sure that you maintain areas around where the dirt is a most frequent. Let’s say I’m right in front of a, a, a in front of a chair or a rocking chair in front of the couch, in front of a desk or the desk mat.

[04:11] Throw a chair that rolls around. They want to have a desk mat sitting there to protect the carpet in front of the couch. Um, sometimes next to your bed, if you’ve got an area down, a hallway and narrow hallway that you want to protect the carpet that I’m going to get walked on their, um, uh, there’s many other places that you want to try at wherever you notice there an accumulation of dirt. It’s abnormally high compared to the areas around it. You want to try to get that area taking care of carpet, stretching Tulsa since 1998. We are complete carpet and we’d like to help the service, your carpet needs. And the next podcast we’ll definitely talk about what we can do to try to help you to do the major cleaning. Uh, but even if you don’t live in your home at all, there’s dust that lands on the carpet and that dust will accumulate and build up. Carpet Stretching Tulsa.

[04:51] Now as long as you never walk on it, that it’s not too big of a problem, but you do want to try to maintain that dust and dirt because every time it is walked on, it’s kind of like bouncing on a trampoline. It sifts or kind of like going into sifting for gold. Um, it sits down into the carpet farther and if you don’t extract it back out, you don’t suck it back out. You don’t vacuum it back out. Then every time you step on it is going to fall deeper and deeper into the carpet. Eventually embedding it, the backing. And I’ve had many times where, um, there are carpets that can be completely clean. The fibers look fantastic, but the backing is so caked with third that the, uh, that those areas look almost black or brown and unfortunately you can’t clean the back of the carpet was wet process because then you’ll start to damage the carpet. Carpet Stretching Tulsa.

[05:35] So you have to be more proactive and keep that stuff from getting down in there. Think of it this way, if you want to paint a picture, carpet stretching Tulsa since 1998. We’ve seen this many times as you want to paint a picture and I’m a and you painted over a black canvas. The entire picture is gonna have a darker hue, a darker look to it. If you want to paint a picture and new painted over white canvas is going to be a lot brighter look to it. You paint it on a canvas or a blue and going to have a pink content or a blue tint to the entire picture because that, that canvas color is going to bleed through whatever paint you put over the campus. And so, um, you want to make sure that you’re backing is nice and clean on your carpet too because any color change in your backend of your carpet seeds through the fiber. And so an area we’ll look darker because the backend is darker carpet stretching Tulsa. Since 1998. We are complete carpet. So give us a call today at nine.
