We originally started Complete Carpet as a carpet installation company. I was picking up work that other people didn’t want to do or they hadn’t done because they didn’t have a guy skilled enough on staff to do it. I have followed behind the majority of the water damage restoration companies in the tulsa area doing their water damage restoration relays for many years. That way when they needed a skilled person I could take good care of it. Because it’s difficult to train someone to do all of the different aspects that didn’t know how to handle all different ranges. Typically you won’t find one guy that is skilled at each one. That’s were Complete Carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998, can come and give you more diverse offering because you could get a lot of things all wrapped up in one company.
While we don’t do installations anymore. We do everything else after it’s been installed, helping you maintenance your carpet. Back in the day when we first started I would get a lot of, I still do actually, get questions about what’s the best way to get the carpets installed. I now personally recommend that you use one of the local companies and make sure that the company that you’re buying the carpet from is a company that installs the carpet also. Back when we did installations I would get at least two or three calls a month from somebody who had hired a solo carpet installer. Not from a carpet store but an independent carpet installer. They would come and had started the job taking some of the money or maybe not. Even if not paid at all but they only did a portion of the work and left the job site with the work unfinished. Then that customer, is just there with carpet laying throughout the house and nobody to finish the job. That’s when I would have to come in and actually got well known for being able to fix those types of jobs. I would always show up with a fresh looking shirt blue jeans with no holes in the knees. I know I’d just throw away the jeans when they got holes. It was one of fresh looking things. I wanted people as soon as they say me to immediately have a sense of comfort, really have a sense of relief that they knew that this was going to be taken care of well that they weren’t going to let just a weird stranger into their homes. We’re covering through the history and the growing pains. Also the changes that we have had since 1998 in the 20 years of business and the different forms and incarnations that Complete Carpet went through. And the different services and products that we’ve offered to Tulsa and surrounding communities. One of the questions I still get today. Which installers and who to use. I personally have done so many jobs in the past for a bad installation that the independent installer just disappeared. Now the homeowner is left holding the bag with carpet laid throughout the house, but no installer to finish the job. I’ve currently I guess I’ve become a little more secure or safe in my old age, but I almost always tell people to just skip the independent installers and go directly with a carpet company that will install the carpet for you and the main reason for that is that if you use an independent installer and he decides to just disappear on you, they won’t answer your phone calls. Or maybe even worse they in some large way messes up the carpet that he’s installing then he can just say it’s my bad walk away, and you are stuck with carpet that may not be able to be fixed or repaired or you may not find someone who’s got the skills to be able to turn that situation around. But if you have bought it through a large company, then if that installer just skip he decides not to do anything then that large company will stand behind it and just find another installer. They’ll bring one of their other guys over because they have something messed up. And they don’t just have the installation. They don’t just have the pad they don’t just have the carpet you purchased all of those things from them, and so you have someone who will stand behind the entire process.
When you’re dealing with one of the largest expenses in your home potentially costing anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000 worth of carpet padding and installation. It’s good to go with someone local that way you have that insurance you have that background of trust that this is going to be taken care of properly and after you’ve had that carpet installed. You know that you can always call us to be able to take care of all of the maintenance and care needs of that carpet with your regular cleaning every six months to a year when an accident happened.
