Covering how we grew and changed through the years. We talked previously about how we started with Carpet Care Installation and wanted to provide a more complete service for our customers. So we transitioned from installation to repair and restretching. Then again to cleaning we expanded in and added tile cleaning and furniture cleaning, upholstery cleaning. Going through that process a lot of the choices and the directions that we made with it.
This really applies to all of life for every single person, that you need to get out there, and you need to be a skilled worker. You need to get as good as you can at what you’re going to do. But there’s also a point where you need to also respond dynamically to the environment that you’re in. Sometimes you really would love to do things in category A, you’ve learned, worked, become skilled in category A. But you’ve got things in category B that everyone wants from you. You’re wanting to get over there to category A, it’s what you’d really like to do. But the only opportunities that are coming to you at that time are for B. You sometimes have to sit down to make the decision to say you know what I’m really skilled at A, but it seems like all of the connections that I’m making right now and all of the the people that I’ve run into are desiring B. Sometimes you need to sit down and say, you know what, I’m really good at A, but it’s time that I get category B and add it to my portfolio of things that I can offer to my customers.
One of the things that I did like this was while we had the contract for the Tulsa housing authority. During that time we got an opportunity to install all of the cove base in a 10 story building. Now we have been carpet cleaning Tulsa and surrounding community since 1998 but sometimes we’ve taken on special projects that were outside of the per view of just regular carpet cleaning. This particular building actually didn’t have any carpet in it. The contractor, the division manager who had called me out on this project. They said hey, we need a competitive quotes to find out what it would cost to put up the cove base for all of the walls on every floor in all the halls. We need to remove all the old cove base and install all new cove base. This would be a large 3 to 4 week long project. I decided I would go ahead and quote it out to see if we could do it. It’s not something exactly that I wanted to do at that particular time, but sometimes you have to answer the call of what is called from you. You sometimes have to respond to what is asked of you and not just want you want to do. Long story short we did win the contract and I gave everything into that project to make sure that it was the best possible job for them. One thing that I love to do while cleaning carpets is looking for ways to help customers. I have so many stories of times I’ve been given the opportunity to help a customer in a way that has nothing to do with carpet cleaning tulsa. I’ve used my technical knowledge and love for sound and entertainment systems to help a good customer setup and layout his surround sound system. We took his left and right surround speakers and I ran the wires along the baseboard and the carpet and put them out as far as we could to expand his sound stage. To this day every time I go to clean his carpets he mentions how all his movies sound so much bigger since we moved his speaker setup. Or many times I’ll go to open a bifolding door that sticks because it’s not been adjusted properly. Or a screen door slide that isn’t holding open the door anymore. A quick bend of the little metal stopper and it grabs again. Carpet cleaning Tulsa means more than just carpet cleaning for me. It’s a chance to make life long customers every day. I’ve come into a house and could smell that someone had just vacuumed the carpets. As a pro tip, if you can smell that you just vacuumed the carpets that almost always means that the air filter in your vacuum is really dirty and is also restricting the airflow of the vacuum. Under the bagless part of the vacuum was a filter and in 5 mins it was clean and she had a clean smelling vacuum again.

I’ve had times that I came out to clean a customers carpet because the carpet just didn’t smell right. I got there and instantly as I walked into the house I could smell that heavy musty air that comes from wet carpet that has been wet for a while.
