Ep 3 Complete Carpet Podcast | Carpet Cleaning Tulsa

Welcome to our next episode, we are continuing from our last episode talking about very early life and concepts of Complete Carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998. We would love to connect with you on Facebook @CompleteCarpet or www.Facebook.com/Completecarpet or online at www.CompleteCarpetTulsa.com or directly give us a call at 918-494-7093. We will pick up as a child getting to work with my dad in the carpet industry.

Growing up my sister and I would always fight over who would get to go with dad to work. My dad was the manager of a carpet cleaning division for a local janitorial company and every now and then got to go with dad to work. We were all homeschooled so we always had the option to use our freedom to take advantage of times where we could go and see him. While he was working or while he’s overseeing jobs or taking care of stuff we learned a lot of really practical management and how do you run a business. But also how do you really put heart, soul and care about the work that you’re doing. Not just punch in and punch out. You know we’ve been carpet cleaning Tulsa the surrounding communities for a long time and we want to make sure that each job we put our passion and desire into it.

We would get turns and my dad would have to decide which of the kids, as we were growing up, could go with Dad and hang out at the place where he worked at the time. It was over at 21st and Harvard down the street from where Burger Street is and where the QuikTrip now is. We got a chance to connect with work there and see dad was a magical experience for a five year old. One of the times my sister wanted to go, my younger sister, so we were fighting over it. I believe that because of our decision-making process that neither one of us ended up getting to go. I’m sure every parent has had that time where you’re going to have a kid come to work to help you in the office or your event or party and they are both fighting so much you give up and say, That’s it no one gets to go! Well that’s what my dad did, neither of us got to go that day. So we both went back to our rooms to pout. Of course we both blame the other person because now we didn’t get anything, when really it’s our own fault for not working together. Well being a good five year old, an hour passed by and I’d forgotten all about what happened and now just wanted to play with my sister. So off I go to search for my sister. The reason for telling these stories and going back through the history of what got me to create Complete Carpet is to better connect with you and let you know more about our company. Know what the heart of this company comes from. Why we’ve been carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 and will keep doing so for years to come.

Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we’re going back into the 80s right now and I’m going to find my sister in the other room. At this point my little kids attention span had forgotten about whatever it is you’re mad about. Now it’s time to play with someone and she was the designated play with person. Mainly because my youngest sister was too young to play with at the time. She just laid there and either, mumbled, cried or slept. She wasn’t old enough to really be an interactive play thing, she was more of a I’ll put you in the corner pretend you’re the baby and and you just lay there and be the baby while I play and I pretend to be the daddy. I check on you every now then yep you’re still in the corner as a baby. She was a good baby sister, I would tell her to stay and she never went anywhere. But there was no interaction, outside of maybe a little bit because there is a smell and I didn’t want to have to deal with that. So I’m looking for my middle sister then I realize she’s probably still mad at me. I’m sure she is hiding from me. So I spend a good 30 to 45 minutes trying to find her because I figure this is a game, this is exciting and after I exhaust every place that I could possibly think of I realize, I don’t think she’s here. I must have really made my sister mad because I just can’t find her.

This is Complete Carpet, carpet cleaning Tulsa and playing hide and seek as a chile. So I did what every kid does when they can’t win. I got mom to help me look. I told her about the game and how I tried to find her and mom joined me in looking for her. A little bit in my mom starts to get worried. Now we are double and triple checking while yelling, ok just comeout now you have won. You know the little flustered panic all parents get, you check the closet and then you go in the other room and come back and then you look in the closet the second time moving your hand through it just to check it again because you feel like maybe you didn’t do it good enough and there must have been like that one extra spot could have been missed because you were just too quick the first time. Now my mom decides to call my dad. Remember this is before cell phones and pagers. We’ve become instantly accessible in today’s world. Back in ‘84 you called someone at work if you were lucky you got the receptionist and left a message or got them to go physically get the person. If you were unlucky you got the answering service that would then leave a message and at some point in the future they would call you back. Finally my dad called back and said he did not have my sister with him.

Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are Complete Carpet. We will leave this episode on a cliffhanger to bait your interest to read the next episode.
