And then you say, okay, come in, I’ve got 30 little fifth graders and they run into the house and I tell them, go through. And we’re having a scavenger hunt. You need to see if you can find something from every room. And so they go to every room in the house after walking through that white paint. And if you looked at the floors throughout that entire house, you would then see little white footprints Trevor’s and all throughout the house. And everywhere that they went, you would see different, the different varying levels of white footprints.
Obviously the ones right next to the paint would be the strongest. As they slowly moved away, they turn into little like white shadows to where it was just a little white, small spots. But in that process, the paint would just spread across all the different areas, because it would be transferred by your feet, wherever you stepped and wherever you walked, it would be transferred onto the carpet. So this is a very brash and bold example. But at the end of the day, that is similar to what happens. Let’s say you have a, uh, Oh, well, dr. Pepper spills and everyone who walks across that dr. Pepper spot transfers a small amount of that dr. Pepper to anywhere else. They step on the carpet will wipe it back off of your foot, but it also stuck to your foot. If the dirt can stick to it, then it can stick to you.
So you want to make sure that you are maintaining those spots, that if you get in and you rinse spot out, as soon as it happens, it’s not going to get spread around the rest of the house. And it’s not going to get stuck to your feet and move around. And this stickiness, as it travels across the house is why a lot of areas get great and dirty is not because you can’t vacuum it out. It’s because they can’t because it’s not. Cause you won’t vacuum. And just because it can’t be vacuum out, it’s stuck to the carpet fibers as opposed to being something that can be pulled well and done. And you say, but my, I mean, it’s like, you mean I’ve got to vacuum my carpet and this has been, it’s going to take a lot of effort and time. No, you actually do not have to ever vacuum a carpet.
If you don’t really care about having long lasting carpet. Now, if you do want to try to get the full value and time out of your carpet, then I would suggest vacuuming it on a regular basis, but he chose not to vacuum the carpet. You could instead say, I’m going to get half the life of my carpet. So instead of getting the full life of my carpet, I’m going to choose not to vacuum. And instead I will, uh, uh, just let the carpet, uh, wear itself out on its own and the dust and the debris that you leave in the carpet will actually cause the carpet to wear out faster. And so this is going to in turn affect the life of the carpet, but it also will mean that you do not need to do as much, um, Steam Cleaner cleaning of your carpet. So you could say, well, I don’t have to worry about cleaning my carpet every day, the carpets will smell.
They’re going to look a little dingy and grungy, but I have bought back all my time at the expense of my carpet. So make decisions wisely, know what the cost is before you make the decision. Now there’s certain things that I’ve decided that I wouldn’t do because I’m okay with replacing it more often. I let it wear out as opposed to try to maintain it. And other times you just get forgetful, but you know, the cost. Do you know that? Have I forgot if I forget to do the oil change on a vehicle that I know I’m going to really eat into the life of that engine? I may not pay for the consequences now, but over time I will definitely end up eating it because the, uh, the engine will not last as long as it would.
