Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. We are complete carpet, carpet diem. Seize your clean carpets today. Uh, I would just want to talk to you a quick bit about the importance of routine and maintenance for your carpet. Obviously we want to get the most life out of a carpet every so we can, but we also don’t want it to put it in the least. We do want to put it in the least amount of work that we possibly can also. So these two things sometimes glides. The ballots even act between those two that we find the right amount of uh, work versus reward. And so, uh, I want to go over things that you can do too much and think that you could do just enough on the too much category. A lot of times people think of vacuuming their carpets and with a rotor bar, a beater bar on a vacuum. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (00:50)
If you put it on too low of a setting and you backed up every single day, you are going to wear the carpet out. Because the same way that if you have a party every day and people come in and walk into carpet, so you’re going to wear the carpet out there too. But on the opposite side, if you don’t vacuum every day and you do have a party every day, well then your carpets are going to wear out twice as fast. So it’s this balancing act between making sure that you get your carpet to done in the right amount, that you’re not putting more wear than this necessary. And then also so that you’re not neglecting to remove where that is necessary. So that I can give you three quick tips, uh, for this, uh, morning podcast here, Enjoy your carpet cleaner. we are complete carpet. Uh, so what you want to be looking for here in your mind is, has my carpet’s been used? Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (01:38)
And then how often has it been used as, how often do you need to vacuum? And I want to give you a subsection a to that tip is one. Uh, you do not need to vacuum the entire house every day or every week. Uh, you do need to hit as often as you can, the areas that are getting the traffic. So you kind of want to respond to the areas that are, um, getting more foot traffic and more dirty here to think about your yard, you want to mow the area of yard that grows the most. You don’t need to go over all of it because there may be an area of the yard that grows real slow. And then another area that grows fast. Uh, so in this case, if you are got two upstairs bedrooms that are spare bedrooms, nobody ever walks into them, then they probably only need to get back in once a month.
Speaker 1: (02:23)
If you’ve got a living room, that is the access point for the entire house. You have to go through the living room to get all the bedrooms and to the upstairs to staircase. Well then that living room may need to have a portion of it vacuumed. Um, either a daily or um, or, or weekly, just depending on how much traffic you’re getting in that zone. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. Uh, and so anytime you get dirt deposited down into your carpet, you need to make sure that you remove it back out. Enjoy your carpet cleaner. Uh, think of it this way also, all of the dishes in your kitchen, if they’re sitting in your cabinets that have not been used, then you don’t need to wash them. Now they sit in your cabinets enough, you may end up doing a a wash just to freshen them up before you have company over cause you don’t want a layer of dust on the dish that you set out for them to use.
Speaker 1: (03:08)
So it kind of approach your carpets in the same way. If you’ve had a large function, you’ve had a bunch of people come over, you have something that’s gone on or happened that didn’t joyful or fun that you want to get out there and say, okay now I need to pick up after my mess. A good example for your kids, you talked about as if their room is clean. You don’t have to pick it up. But if you’ve had three friends over and you’ve been playing Legos all afternoon, well then you need to get in there as soon as you’re done and pick all the Lego’s up so they don’t spread out even more. Enjoy your carpet cleaner. Tip number two, first one was a vacuum frequency. So make sure that you’ve got the right frequency of your vacuuming. Tip number two is to reduce or remove sources of dirt, uh, entry mats coming in and out of your house.
Speaker 1: (03:56)
A, um, if you do have a small kids, where do you let them eat their food? Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. You know, don’t let them have food in the, uh, you know, just walking through the house. I’ve seen this many times where a customer will let their toddler give him a, you know, a little bowl of Cheerios and I’ll them to walk through the house with the Cheerios, some of the cherries, making their mouth something that Cheerio’s end up on the floor and get stepped on and crunched in. And now you’ve got this gummy, sticky mess throughout the house. So find out where your sources of dirt are and find ways that you can remove the sources of dirt there for our house. If you want to have a drink, you can have a drink in the kitchen, you can drink as much drink as you would like to in the kitchen and then walk to wherever it is you want to be.
Speaker 1: (04:40)
But wherever else you are, uh, we don’t allow drinks there so that there’s never a chance for a drink. Spills, just not possible to spill a drink of the drink never gets in that area. Or if we do eat, we eat in the living room and we cover the Ottoman with a towel. And so we’ll kind of sit on the floor and eat there. Kind of the, uh, the Asian style where you just sit down around a single spot and then we’ve trained the kids. You’ve got to be over your play to be very careful cause we don’t want to clean up off the floor. But after we’re done, if there is a spill, we immediately address it. Enjoy your carpet cleaner.
Speaker 1: (05:14)
And so now that you’ve gotten on top of, uh, sources of dirt and you’ve gotten on top of your vacuum and now comes the third part of your maintenance cycle is to have the carpets cleaned. This comes in later on. This is like the three, six, maybe once a year, uh, three, six, three or six months or once a year you’ll have to come in and have a professional steam cleaning done. And this professional steam cleaning will allow you to get the sticky out of the carpet. The vacuum will get the dry your sources of dirt. You will keep things from getting onto the carpet. But every now and then something sticky guitar into the carpet. And when something’s sticky gets on, it requires some form of soap or hot water, maybe sticky or oily. We can hot oily to that category. We’ll get in there and get on the carpet and then you have to, uh, to be able to remove it.
Speaker 1: (06:00)
You will have to uh, um, have something with hot water to be able to rinse up and break up that, um, things. What would you’re going to be looking for here is to make sure that you have a routine cycle where you come in and you get the carpets thoroughly cleaned. Every, some people, it’s every couple of months. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. Other people, it’s once a year, but you just want to have something to thoroughly rinse out all of the contaminants that are in the floor that the backend can’t get out, that you’ve done your best to prevent from getting into the vacuum. Can’t suck it out. So now you need to have a carpet cleaning to rinse it out. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. we are complete carpet.
