Today I want to talk to you about pet accidents now, what to do, what not to do. Um, how to respond. Um, obviously we all have trouble at times with our pet. We want to try to train them. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. We want to try to keep them in the best of health and best of training so that they can care for our house the same way that we do. But they also are a constant source of, uh, issues and problems. Whether it be something simple, like they just walked outside, walk back in with their muddy paws, maybe something. Tulsa’s highest and most rated Carpet Cleaner. Um, uh, you give them a bone, they take the bone and of course they sit there and non drool all over the carpet in their favorite bone chewing area or corner.

Uh, some customers have more of your gel type dogs and they uh, they will get out there and after they finished eating or they’ve drinking water, they’ve got a wet slobbery gel and they go on to wipe it off on the carpet to try to clean their face. Or, uh, I’ve had one customer that their dog would always wipe it on the corner of their chair. And so this was obviously a wonderful gift. If you sat down, put your hand down and you’re like, Ooh. It’s like getting to discover slime for the first time except that it’s always there at your chair as you’re just about to sit down and have a nice cold drink or a freshman. And so you want to sometimes make sure that you are all the time. I think I back do all the time. You should make sure that you are giving something that’s appropriate for the type of pet that you have. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

So you’ve got a big jolly dog. If you let them in to go drink or eat, it’s good to go take a towel on a white wall. The same way if he was outside in the rain, he comes in, you want to dry them off of it to let him, uh, be able to access your house without just adding a lot of extra work later on. So the preventative measures are always the best teaching your dog to go outside to go to the bathroom. I’m not leaving them with full range of the house. Typically we tell people the three different ways you can help with a dog that’s having accidents inside is one to uh, train. Obviously the first thing you should always do is train them. Uh, if you could train them all the other steps are irrelevant cause if you just get them to where they want to go to the one specific part in the backyard, train them to that spot, then they will do whatever they can to get to that spot to go to the bathroom.
Speaker 1: (02:20)
Unlike you and I, they do not see a particular area. They don’t visually see an area and think that’s where I’m going to go pee. They Mark an area and then they go back to that area to as a restaurant, they’d Mark it as a restroom and they go back to that area to go pee over and over. And so you need to help them by establishing where is an okay place for bathroom. Tulsa’s highest and most rated Carpet Cleaner. Cause if they establish it inside, they’ll keep going to that back to that place inside. So let’s just say you’ve got a good Tinker’s dog that’s just a tingling or going poo in the house for some reason that you know you can’t, it’s not training, lack of training just to, you know, a season. Then the other two things is one is to contain, so block them off from any area. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

You don’t want them to go to a, if they always go to that upstairs bedroom or they use carpet upstairs anywhere, then I’ll put a baby gate on the bottom of the stairs or just make sure that those doors stay closed and they can’t get into them. So keep them away from there as you don’t want them to have effect or lastly, um, cage and this is typically probably one of the easiest and best ones have customers. They’re gone all day long and so if you’re going to be gone all day long, you want to make sure that your dogs stay on occasion. Of course, the question we get is, well that just seems really mean to my poor dog and put them in a small area. Well, dog’s natural. The natural habitat is to find a small dark cave and small underbrush somewhere that they can burrow into the actually the uh, uh, the snow dogs up in the North, they’ll actually go and dig in a little small cocoon into the snow and let the snow kinda pack over them as a way for them to stay warm. And so they enjoy a tighter, more confined space the same way that we do too. We naturally cage ourselves. You’d say like what, what are you talking about? I don’t cage myself. Well, if you think about it compared to the open world, we always go inside of a small box and close the door. Now our box is, you say what? It’s a big box to a dog. The box is massive. It’s, you know, it’s a, our house is got eight foot ceilings and they’re a two foot dog so they room is four times as big as them. To us, we’re five to six foot tall with an eight foot ceilings. The room is only 50% bigger than we are. Yeah. We would like to be a large presence in our place. If not, then you walk in and you feel like, wow, I’m in a, a massive cathedral or we’ve been into a lobby that has three story engines and you just kind of stand there in awe at the large scape. You wouldn’t, you wouldn’t make that your bedroom cause it just seems too fast and big. We like to have a little bit more tightened, confined spaces. When they were kids, they actually like sleep in a tent with a sleeping bag. And so think of a, um, a crate for your dog is like a tent for your kids. They like to take a cardboard box and they will just take a big giant cargo box and play in it forever. And so your pets can have the same thing. They’ll, they’ll have this sense of security because it’s a place that’s protected for them. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998. And I’ve actually had a couple of customers take it to the next level and we’ll take two crates, connect them to each other. But one crate have their bedding and the other crate will have a kind of like that fake grass AstroTurf stuff.
