Again, every thing since you have your carpets installed we can do to help you to maintain the health and wellbeing of your carpet. And I wanted to talk to you today about uh, traffic patterns are aware, understanding what it is that you’re trying to protect and making sure that it is protected the way that you would want it to. Uh, I was just talking with a customer yesterday. Uh, they were made, they made the comment that the carpet cleaning for a rug, they had a, a small cheap rug for their daughter’s room. It was very beautiful pink rug, but it was something they’d gotten on some super sale and the uh, hit cost maybe 10 or 15 bucks.
Speaker 1: (00:53)
They could, they got on some, you know, super discounted what a sale. And she said, you know, I think I am spending more money to clean the rug than I am the rug cost. Originally to buy. And so I made a comment to her and, and I hear this quite a few times, I was like, well, what is the cost to have? That’s an extreme example. Most time your carpet costs way more than it costs to clean it, but let’s just say that there was a parody, like you only spent uh Oh a hundred dollars on a rug and it cost $100 to clean it. Um, your rugs in your room, what are their form and function? What is their purpose? Sometimes your rods are decoration. It’s like a painting of the wall. And if your rug is a decoration, it’s not going to get dirty because it’s decoration, it’s decorative, it’s there for us. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (01:39)
Some places to actually, we’ll hang a beautiful rug on a wall as is as if it’s a poster. But if your purpose for the rug is functional, then that means that the rug is there to mitigate the wear to the surface, the flooring surface below it, or to capture dirt cause carpet compared to wood or tile, wooden tile. If you spill sand on wood or tile, it just spreads everywhere. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner. If you’re just going to have sand everywhere. That’s why you end up with dust bunnies. If you have a dust bunnies, for those of you who are not familiar with this term as a, uh, where the dirt or the dust in your home kind of tumbleweeds together because when the air kicks on or a door is open to the wind goes cross the flooring, everything slides across the floor in collecting together in the corners. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (02:28)
Now with carpet, this doesn’t happen. It’s so carpet comparatively to other flooring surfaces is different in that it does not allow things to just go flying and sliding in every which direction. Unlike floor wood tile vinyl where everything just slides out, so anything you drop on the floor goes into a pile somewhere. Carpet actually is more like a wastebasket. So if you dump a bunch of trash in your kitchen, it’s going to be trash everywhere. Whereas if you dump a bunch of trash into your wastebasket, it will stay in the wastebasket. Kind of holds it in place and carpet is a lot like that. Carpet is the wastebasket of your home and it’s up to you to do it. Now with tile, wood, carpet, tile, wood, linoleum, all these different hard surface floorings. Uh, if it’s all the floor you’ve got immediately sweep it up. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (03:16)
Uh, you can’t go three days with spilled Cheerios on the floor of your harbored floors cause they will just, it’ll just be grit and sand and crunch everywhere. Whereas you could spill a bag of chips in your living room, all the carpet and be like, I will get to that tomorrow. Well, if it’s a wood, you got to get to it right then cause they just go, just going to fly everywhere the next time somebody walks through there, they’re going to spread all of that everywhere. Whereas with carpet, since it is a, uh, uh, talk about, think of it as a wastebasket, it is a capturing device. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner. So going back to my example to begin with, with the rug, she was paying to have that rug cleaned. She’s paying, in this case it was only 15 or $20 rug. She was doing an adult rug service.
Speaker 1: (03:58)
So it wasn’t only a 15 or 20 bucks to get the rug cleaned, but that rug had done its job. The reason she needed to get that rug clean is because it had done its job. You say, what was the job of that rug in the girl little girl’s bedroom? It was a place that she could play that would capture any sticky smilies, jelly face toddler stuff that was going on in that room. And the carpet wouldn’t take the brute force of that punishment. And so it had, it had captured a lot of stuff into the, uh, rug instead of onto the carpet. And because of that, the carpet was in good shape underneath them. The rug was in poor shape. So this was cleaning a wastebasket. Uh, if you buy a wastebasket, you do not stop and think about the amount of money you will spend in trash bag liners for that wastebasket. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (04:46)
I mean, every wastebasket night easily exceeds the cost of the wastebasket. Give a number of trash bag liners you put into that wastebasket. The wastebasket is just a container. So think of your carpet over the life of carpet. You will die, you probably won’t quite put in as much to clean it as you will to have bought it, but over time you can probably get to that space and it’s not a question of cost versus replacement. How much does it cost to clean it versus how much does it cost to replace it? Because if you replace it, you’re still going to have to clean that carpet too. It’s the old argument, well I will get rid of this car to buy another car. Well, if you buy another car, it potentially could have the same problems as the new unless you go with a brand new car.
