Speaker 1: (00:01)
Welcome to the carpet DM podcast. I am your host Nathan Sevrinus with complete carpet. Give us a call today at (918) 494-7093 today we’re going to continue our talk about a win before and after, when to get your carpets cleaned. And what is the reasoning behind the different approaches? We talked in the last episode about getting your carpet clean before you show your house at why the first 30 seconds coming up to your house in 30 seconds going into your home are the most important because they’re the ones that give off the vibe or the feel that you want to continue that general topic. Uh, just want to jump right back into it and say that if you painted your entryway all black with say, purple trim and there were a large gargoyles kind of all up and down the banister and there was Halloween decor everywhere, uh, it would be a really tough sell to find the right person who would walk in there and take a deep breath and look around and go, Oh yes. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

And not overlook the contrast in the dark, deep colors, the decor, the guard boils. It’s going to give people, I certify there’s a certain energy that that gives to people. If you took all that down and you painted all the walls yellow and the trim white and put daisies everywhere, that also would dissuade certain types of people who were like, Oh, this is, this is way too much yellow. It’s too bright. Cheerful for me, I don’t like, I don’t want this much high energy. I almost feel tired just standing here because it’s rubbing me up so much. And other people that would be there, uh, they’re perfect to go to. They’d be like, this is exactly my fields situation. That’s why you see a lot of holidays with just a plain white wall and either white or Brown trim. He goes, they’re wanting to make it as neutral as possible so that whoever wants in and add their flare, their style to the home. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.

If you have a leopard print staircase, which could look really awesome or it could be really hideous, just depending on if you like leopard print. But if you add just a tan staircase, most people aren’t really going to care one way or the other. Attend staircase. I don’t really love canned carpet. I don’t really hate Dar, but it’s just carbon. Whereas if it’s leopard print, you’re either going to love it or hate it. If it’s a zebra print, uh, office, you’re either going to love it or you’re going to hate it. So there’s certain things that either are real specific niche or there’s some other things that are real broad and encompassing because nobody particularly cared. They just start thinking, what can I do to make this lamp? If he had a tan room with white walls and Brown baseboards, you’re, you’re going to have to do something to that room because it’s, it’s neutral. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

It’s vague, it’s bland, there’s nothing going on there. So you would definitely come in there and do something to make that space yours. You would come in and add a lot of blue toys and superhero decals. You put on the wall and a bunk bed and now you’ve got a, a boy’s room. Or you might have a lot of princess, uh, stickers. And a pink camisole. And that goes over the bed and like a, um, like a, like a tragal bed with some pretty, uh, Barbies. And so you have a castle in the corner and then you’d say, okay, I’ve designed this room for my provide little girl. Or if you’d walk in and there is a giant mahogany desk and there’s bookshelves full of books and there is a giant bear skin rug and you’ve got like really dark chocolate Brown carpet and a large armchair, a leather wrapped armchair where they would, um, desk mat that’s got Pergo and laid, you know, I’m in an office. We, we could tell the room and the space based upon what we’ve done with the space. And so, uh, when you’re looking to clean the carpets, uh, you also look as you come in, uh, carpets do two things for house one, they add a smell to the house because they are a wastebasket. If you don’t clean your wastebasket, eventually the wastebasket smells like whatever food and garbage has been tossed into that waste basket. And then two, they also visually, uh, leave something either looking dingy or dirty. We’ve all walked into a place that has Kool-Aid stains everywhere and you immediately tell, okay, this carpet looks really worn or dirty and I know that this is worn dirty. Then it also makes me subconsciously think that everything else is going to be treated in the same fashion. So you want to take care of things so that people don’t just think the is good or nice, but also they think this is a reflection of how they care for the rest. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

For the same token, you can do all you want to do clean the floors, but if there’s holes in the wall because you could punch holes in the wall, well then people aren’t going to care as much about the carpet. They’re going to care more about the fact that there’s holes in the wall. So we suggest to customers before you put the house in the market that you’ve had all of the contractors come through, do all the honey do list, fix up the house the best you can and now you’re going to start showing it. People are going to come start looking at the house for the first time. So that before you put the house on the market, because typically that first week is when you’re going to get the mad rush of the bulk. Majority of people looking at the home that are currently interested. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.

You want to be able to clean the carpets right then, but sometimes you may have to come back and clean up again every three to six weeks because as people come in, depending on if it’s raining outside, if you get a lot of tourists, a lot of potential people coming through the home, say you have 30 showings in the first week, well you’ve had, that means 30 showings with at least three people. Each times you’ve had a hundred plus people walking through your home, um, carrying drinks, uh, with their children, uh, with, they may or may not have wiped their shoes off before they walk in. They may have been a rainy day, a muddy day and they just come in and you know, they may track up the carpet again. So you want to make sure you’re maintaining that fresh new looks. But each person comes in there, knows that you’re maintaining to look. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

Speaker 1: (05:46)
Cause if you’ve had a hundred people walk through your house, it’s very obvious that a hundred people have walked through your house. I mean it’s, it’s evident through the floors, through the carpets, through the doors, through all of this stuff laying around. So you do have to kind of get in there between each person and freshen it back up again. Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are complete carpet and we’ll touch on the next podcast on the final option where you are cleaning it before anything happens, before you’ve even got the pictures as your starting point.
