Welcome to the carpet DM podcast. I am your host, Nathan Sabrina’s with complete carpet. Uh, talk to you today about consistency, carpet cleaning, Tulsa since 1998. Uh, love to hear from you. So give us a call today at nine one eight four, nine four, seven zero nine three and get on the way to enjoy your castle. Again, consistency is what will help you to get to the most out of your carpet. Carpet is very, very malleable. There is a lot, lot of flex in capacity with what it could do. We’ve all had this happen before. We’ve seen somebody who is a just a star athlete. They’re just the best of the best out there and they’re really good in their craft. The thing that they’re wanting to do or accomplish is they’re just, they’re just, Oh, they’re wicked awesome at it. And so they get out there, they do that thing and then you just have them try something else. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.

Even Michael Jordan Best basketball player, arguably of all time went and did baseball. And even though he was amazing at basketball, he was decent at baseball. It was not his forte. And I’m sure if he put enough time and really kept working at it, he could have gotten good over time and he had great for a walk on in the minor leagues, but he quickly realized I need to be back in basketball. The thing that I’m actually really passionate and really good at, I’ve naturally talented with add a tremendous amount of work ethic. But the, uh, it didn’t turn out to be the thing that he was just like, you know, that’s smashing homeowners and we’ve seen that where someone got there. I remember playing basketball myself in high school and one game, uh, one of our best players, he, uh, hadn’t eaten that day and just busy doing other stuff. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.

And so he stopped and grabbed a couple of Snickers and eats the Snickers all the way to the game. He gets out there and pretty much he is good for one quarter and that’s it cause he gets out there, he’s got a sugar rush from the Snickers he gets, he just plays, he puts up a bunch of points the first quarter. And thereby, how about towards the end of the first quarter? You could see him, everyone runs down to the other court and he’s kind of jogging back and then the now the basketball game getting to the other end of the court before he does and eventually he’s not making it past the half court along with everyone else. He’s, he’s just gassed. He’s done it. He kept the tank out, it poured all the gas out, he’s done. And coach went over and had seen him eat the Snickers before the game and said, okay, this is why if you’re low on energy, do not use sugar because it will zip you up and just crash. You hard. Need to use fruit, you need to use fruit juice. You need to do something of that side that can give you some instant energy and some prolonged, uh, some longevity to it. But you just go purely into the sugar side. You’re going to tap out after eight to 12 minutes of hard gameplay. And I think a lot of times we do that in our expression, the things that we want to do, we zip ourselves up because we don’t have the motivation to do it ourselves. So we zip ourselves up and we get into it and then we kind of crash and burn and then we tried to zip ourselves, get self up and then crash and burn it. And we get in these cycles of trying to push harder than we can take, only to fall down faster than we expect or anticipate. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.

And so this happens our cleaning cycles too, whether it be cleaning the car, cleaning the carpet, cleaning the house, and it’s better to be the old parable of the rabbit and the Hare and the turtle or the tortoise and the Hare, the rabbit and the turtle where he goes and he just smashes. It just gets out there, takes off and you realize he’s way ahead. So you’re going to just kind of sit by and they’ll go back, check on the gravity. I’m just so far ahead and you just take a break and the consistency of the turtle to just keep going. Keep moving through until it finally was so far ahead because they’re taking a nap for too long, thinking that he had this in the bag to realize that he didn’t have it in the bag anymore because he waited too long. And that if it happens a lot of times is that we think, Oh, it’s okay. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.

It’s okay, it’s not too bad. And then we hit the point of no return to where we’ve created some ear repairable damage to things. In your car scenario, if you don’t change your oil on a regular basis, eventually the oil becomes so contaminated, it wears the engine out and then you have a engine knock or an engine problem that can’t be rude. Um, isn’t just a maintenance issue. It’s now a replacement issue. A carpet can end up that way too. I’ve seen times where in only five or six years, a carpet that needed to be cared for more didn’t get cared for at all. And at the end of the five year Mark, the carpet is just done, the seams are falling apart, the carpet is flat, the walk pads are all worn out. And all these things happen because some people are just not doing the proper quantity of maintenance for the amount of use of the carpet. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.

Now, if you never walk on the carpet, it never needs to be cleaned. So if you go into a house and they installed new carpet and then it sits there for five years, at the end of the five years, you could do nothing to the carpet at all for the whole time of your period. Do a good solid vacuum and get the carpets cleaned and your carpets will still look like brand new. Now if you have five kids and they play outside in the dirt and the mud every day and then they come inside and play in the dirt and the mud into your carpet every day, that dirt and the mud, the dust grinded in the carpet and just really will just beat the carpet to shreds because dusted the universal sandpaper. If you take a bunch of sand on your hand and you rub your hands together, you’re going to rub the skin right off your hands. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.
Speaker 1: (05:07)
Now if you take and wash your hands and dry them and then rub your hands together, you should able to rub your hands together for quite a while, warming your hands like you were at a fire because it’s your skin rubbing against the skin and it doesn’t typically wear out chafed right away. It will eventually, but not right away. But you pour sand over your hands and try to rub them back and forth and you won’t go 60 seconds before your hands are just rubbed wrong. Your carpet is very similar that the fibers could rub against themselves without breaking down the carpet in any way. But then you put a sand in there and now the fibers are rubbing against the sand and that’s going to break down the fiber really quickly and make it flat and puffy and weird looking. And once that starts to break down into grade and there’s not a lot to come back from there. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.

So you want to try to do your maintenance ahead of schedule to make sure you keep the dust from really getting sticky and gunky into the carpet to keep your walk paths from really grinding down in hard, keep all of your surfaces, areas sanitary and clean and nice so that way you can get 10 15 2025 30 years out of your carpet. I’ve got a carpet in my own home that’s uh, is very cheap and it’s probably one of the cheapest carpets you can buy. And it is a carpet that you probably gonna get five to seven years of normal wear and tear out of it. And because I care for it and I take care of it and I’d take all of these tips and stuff that I’ve told you and I apply them in my own home. The carpets are coming up on nine years old and there’s the walk path is starting to look a little bit flat as the carpets do. Tulsa’s highest and most reviewed Carpet Cleaner.
Speaker 1: (06:27)
But I probably could get another five years out of the carpet before I have any worry about any seams breaking or any really serious treadwear out of it and that’s a lot longer that carpet should have gotten and it’s not because I’m an amazing person. It’s because the carpet has been taken care of during that time and it hasn’t taken the wear that carpet would normally take. And this is not because the carpet’s a long lasting carpet. It’s probably six to seven year carpet, not got eight or nine years out of it. So I’ve got an extra year or two longer life than I kind of anticipated. But I put the cheap carpet in because I wanted to get to about the five to seven year Mark and my kids have been quite a bit older at that point and we may have want to change carpet out. We’ll probably get close to that spot where now that they’re 10 12 and 17 it’s getting closer to that time. I may make a different choice on the way that I want the carpet to be.
