Welcome to the carpet DM podcast. I am your host Nathan’s arenas and today we’re going to be talking about carpet stretching, carpet cleaning, and Tulsa. Since 1998 we are complete carpet. Typically you’re gluten places, a commercial space or an outdoor space. If your carpets are outside, they are always glued to the concrete or to the deck that they’re on. That way the elements will bond to break it down as fast. Anything that’s glued in place does not move. If you think back on like a, let’s take your coat in your closet for example, uh, you will take that coat, you’ll put it on a hanger, you’ll hang it into your closet and it will probably stay there every year from your cold season until the next cold season. So over the warm season, the coat just hangs in the closet, no problem. And let’s say you go five, 10, let’s fast forward 15 years in the future. It’s still hanging on that same coat hanger in the closet and I can take that coat hanger out. I say it’s a wire coat hanger and I can bend it up and down and then up and down and up and down and up and down, and eventually that code here will break. It’ll actually break in pretty short order comparatively to the years or decades that it can sit there without breaking hanging with your coat hanging on it. And the reason is because everything that stays stiff in place, it typically will stay together and as something bends beyond what its normal range of movement is, it will slowly start crack or break your apartment. If you blew the carpet straight to the ground, it won’t wrinkle because it’s glued and it will, you could have a herd of elephants walk across it and it stays in place because it doesn’t move. Now it doesn’t get squished. Yes, but it doesn’t move just like it hang a coat on the coat hanger. The carpet will just stay there and be just fine. Now the other side, if you have your carpet in a residential space, it will have a pad underneath that because we decided we want to sacrifice some longevity of carpet for the comfort of walking on the carpet because walking on just straight carpet on the concrete is a stiffer experience and it’s nice if they kind of a plushy a niceness to their carpet. Since 1988 we are complete carpet, uh, continuing on this idea about stretching your carpet. The question we get asked often is why does my carpet need to be stretched? Or when does it need to be stretched? The answer to both those two questions I believe is when you notice or see it needing to be stretched to is why is all of the wind and the wind is the why you need to get stretches because you see wrinkles. So they kind of both of our answers, yes, I can get deeper into it, but on a surface, if you’re noticing a wrinkle, that is why you would need to get a stretch because you’re seeing a wrinkle. Some people wonder if they need to stretch preventatively and unless you see a wrinkle, you don’t need to if you can, if you’d like to, but there’s no specific benefit because eventually the carpet all carpet relaxes. It loses the tension, the stretch because it’s been walked on, but it doesn’t get bigger than the room that it’s in. So there isn’t a wrinkle that develops. It just laid like an area rug. For example, your area rug underneath your sitting on your entryway doesn’t need to be stretched because it’s not got a wrinkle in it. As long as it stays flat and that’s all we’re looking at. So glued down carpet actually has some stretch fact just blew down so it was just laid flat and held her place. So your carpets is long and they don’t get bigger than the room with their head. Then they can just lay flat to be just fine. Now, at some point you may develop a wrinkle in the carpet and if you do develop a wrinkle in the carpet, that is a time that you do need to get it stretched and it’s better to do it sooner than later. Go cover. It can be stretched at any time. If you let it go for a longer period of time, the carpet now moves more those wrinkles each time you to step on that wrinkle. It caused the carpet next to it to blow up or to flex up. And so every time that wrinkle moves the carpet rounded foods causing the carpet to break down faster, causing more wrinkles over time. So a lot of times you’ll notice a small wrinkle and then it turns into a big wrinkle in six months, even though the carpets was sitting there for five years, that’s because now the carpet’s loose. It moves a lot more and thus it, it’ll grow a little bit more. Ground growing is kind of a misnomer. Think of it like a good pair of leather shoes. You put your good pair of leather shoes on and then you go around you where you walk in them, you enjoy them, you use them. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa is in our fiber.

Let’s say that you got up to where they fit perfectly right now. And as everyone knows, we’ve got a good pair of leather shoes, a good pair of dress shoes and you wear them so they fit perfectly right now. They will eventually relax or kind of conform to your foot to be a little too loose. But if you get a shoe that’s a little tight to begin with, you’ll break it in, you know that break it process and it will just perfectly ride your foot because it will expand it, broaden a little bit. But the same can be said that you, they won’t continue to grow until they become large Dumbo shoes. So they’re not going to just continuously get bigger and bigger and bigger. They get, they grow to a certain point and they relaxed to a certain point and then that’s the size that they will be. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.

Carpet is similar that it’s not going to keep growing forever, but it will relax. And that’s why you power stretch it in to begin with is that you’ve got a nice stiff from carpet and you stretch it in into place and you put about a half an inch to an inch of stretch on the carpet. That leaves a rubber band tightness effect. And as the carpets relax, it will absorb that rubber band tightness effect fill. Eventually it just lays flat. Now sometimes it will grow more than they stretch put on it, or somebody just meek it to bumps it into place to get it flat but not tight. And then when it does relax or grow, it will absorb quickly, the non-existent stretch on it. And then it will end up briefly. Carpet cleaning Tulsa since 1998 we are complete carpet.
