Welcome to the carpet DM podcast. I am your host, Nathan and Sabrina’s. Today we’re going to be talking about maintaining your vacuum carpet cleaning Tulsa. Since 1998 we are complete carpet. So give us a call today at (918) 494-7093. Maintaining your back you is a lot like maintaining anything you can get from it. What has the capacity to do, a lot of times people don’t think that much about the cleaning of your vacuum. They just use the vacuum. They believe that it should be able to be used until it’s full and they don’t think about how suction works. So let’s go through a think of a couple of different scenarios. Let’s say that you are, we’ll use drinking as an example because it’s a good way to um, get a, a flow or appeal of stuff that are just hoses in general. So if you wanted to take a drink from your, let’s say you got a big dr pepper, a nice cold, dr pepper, maybe a cherry Limeade, maybe you’re a Coke or a Pepsi person that your root beer person, whatever. The type of soft drink that you’re interested in doing it and you take a straw and try to drink for that drink, you will enjoy the drink or you may not a strong action. Change your actions, join them up. If you’ve ever grabbed a coffee, strong, those little small sippy straws and tried to drink pop from one of those straws. It’s a actually a rather frustrating experience because you have to suck pretty hard to get it through and you get a lot of carbonation going through that straw and as the carbonation goes through it kind of pops out a little air bubble. So it’s, it’s a very weird, strange experience because you ended up getting more kind of almost like a shake. The drink up. It’s a little strange if you’re very thirsty, you end up moving the straw to the side and just drinking straight off the side of the cup. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.
Speaker 1: (02:01)
We’ve all had that happen once or if you put a straw in there and there’s a crack in the straw, there’s a little crack on the side of the straw, which I think all of us have learned at some point that if there’s a crack in the straw at whichever end the cracks at you flip the straw upside down and put the crack down into the water because at the end of the day, the other end of the straw is open. It doesn’t matter that you could crack the entire thing all the way to the bottom, just as long as the part between your lips to the liquid is not correct. There should be no hole there so you don’t suck air. But it has a crack in the middle of the straw that it’s going to be sucking air instead of second liquid and air moves faster, easier than liquid does. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (02:39)
So it would come up whereas the liquid would not. So having a a hole or a crack on the side of the straw or you do have a straw that’s too big. Some places have been like a big gulp strong and those straws are you go to suck and if you’re not used to it or if you’re not ready for the amount of suction you can get through that particular straw or the amount of flow that can go through it, you actually suck it too much. If you watch a child, a baby when they first learned to drink, they get a straw that is restricted. It’s a sippy straws back. Do you have to put some force in there because they’re used to suck like they would on a bottle or like they would with their mother. They look to create a vacuum. They look to create the suction and then they get a little bit of liquid to come with it so they can suck a lot. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.

Now if you give a child the first time, there’s plenty of YouTube videos for this or where you probably had happened with your own child at some point, but they go over to a straw where it’s a large adult strong and they go to suck on that and they actually get all the liquid they’re trying to suck. You’ll see them just almost gag on the amount of liquid that they get in and you’ll see the cough that they got to spit it out because they actually get sucked in too fast. They were using too much, uh, such that, uh, the, now if you take it one step further, let’s say that you went and grabbed, if anyone’s ever done this before, and I think virtually every guy that I know of has done it at some point, women don’t understand why we would do it, but you take a garden hose and you turn it on and you drink from it. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (04:07)
I just like you, you know, you’re thirsty. You’re outside. You could go inside to get a drink, but it’s dead. You’re like, you know what, I’ll just, I’ll just drink from this garden I was sitting right here, but you turn the garden hose on and it puts out more water than you could possibly drink and so you kind of sip off the top, sort of like a drinking fountain, but if you put your mouth on the hose, which I think we’ve all done at some point and then turn it on real slowly and just try to drink it as fast as it comes out. You’re just going to overwhelm it. You’re going to score it out in the size of your mouth because it’s just more liquid coming through. Then you can possibly keep up with and how does this relate to suction and we’ll go over it a little bit more in the next podcast, but with suction, all of those, now you’ve got an idea of different flow rates that depending on the size and the style, vacuums are just the same way the they need to design the amount of flow that that vacuum can suck over the exact amount of the size and diameter and length of hose. Carpet Cleaner Tulsa since 1998.
Speaker 1: (05:04)
But like the hose makes a big difference. You take a garden hose that’s a hundred feet long and put it in your dr pepper and then try to drink from that and you, it will take you a long time. You will, uh, cause you have to suck all the way through a hundred feet of hose before you get it into your mouth. Whereas if you take a six inch straw, you’ve only got a sick suck the liquid six inches. Whereas a, even a five foot long straw will be very difficult. And if you’ve ever had one of those curlicue straws when you’re a kid, it takes a lot more time cause you have to suck it all the way through the straw before you get to the liquid. Your vacuum is just the same way. It’s gotta be powerful enough to suck it down a log. Tulsa’s Carpet Cleaner since 1998.
Speaker 1: (05:41)
If you want to go a hundred foot long pose, you’re going to have to have a really beefy machine. If you want to go to 50 foot hose, you gonna have a normal machine. If you want a 15 foot hose, you can use a pretty strong shock back. You go down a five foot hose, you could a very weak shot back, so it needs to have the capacity to back him down the hose before it could start backing and stuff at the end of the hose. Probably didn’t tell since 1998 we are complete carpet and give us a call today at (918) 494-7093.
