It, we don’t, we add it as a, an easy add on to a regular carpet cleaning service. But it does require a little bit different attention to detail at times because um, it depends on the surface that the rug is on top of the size of the rug, the stiffness of the rug. Uh, if I’ve got a really, if you’ve got more of a bathmat style rug that’s very flimsy, it’s a lot more difficult to clean just because you’re trying to heat hold it in space and the suction for the machine is very strong.
So a lot of times if you’ve got a very flimsy or very slightly rug, you’ll end up just pushing it around the floor, trying to get it clean. Rugs hold a great purpose though in every house we recommend people having different variety and types of rugs. So we thought we just cover in this podcast a lot of the different types of rugs, how you use them and what you would want to be looking for in your rugs. So let’s go for the three different spaces Carpet Cleaner, the three different areas that your rugs will be. You’ve got your outdoor rugs, these are your entry mats, and they typically, all of your outdoor rugs serve a specific purpose of trying to, um, create a barrier for dirt before it gets into your house. So a lot of times you’ll have, um, you have a rug, an area that needs to, um, block off or off the dirt as it before it comes into your home.
Or maybe you live out in the country and you need a physical really dirt cleaning thing to knock the dirt off your shoes as you come into the house. Uh, other places, it’s more of a a welcome home, Matt. We’ll call them a welcome mat. A lot of times people get these mats and they make them, in my opinion, an unfortunate decision to make them too decorative. We do like it. We want to have something pretty but we want to have something pretty just put something pretty as your entry area but your mat should not be pretty. If you put something very decorative like say hello or welcome to our house or I saw one that said leave the package and leave, drop the package and leave. Now if it has some the decorative, then it ends up getting what I call the high school mascot effect. And it’s where you’ve got your emblem for high school and you go into high school. Most high schools you’re at the leader habit cordoned off or all the high school students will purposely avoid, they’ll put like right in the middle on the floor lab, your, you know, I’m fighting Jaguar and it’ll be a big face of a Jaguar right in the middle of the hallway and everybody will come down and they’ll walk around it. Cause it’s bad luck with bad Judy to be able to step on your mask out on the floor as you walk around it or other places won’t let you.
So they put up the little stick pillars that have the soft velvet rope that connects between them and they’ll block you off, not allowing you to get to those um, areas. So what the idea here is that he wanted to knock that dirt and debris, the stuff that’s sit ups inside of your shoe treads and get that knocked off. I think you have something that says peace or lovely or hyphen danger. Probably the most people come up to see that and they will get the effect of like the high school mascot.

You want to have something that is going to be fluffy enough to clean off your shoe. And the idea here is that we suggest having a mat in this area that is um, at as fluffy or more fluffy than your Carpet Cleaner is cause you have a really narrow, thin, flat, um, mat. Then people as they walk on it, it’s only going to drop off a little bit of dirt off their shoe because up in the crevices just doesn’t get touched.
